Expert verdict
As a new competitive bookmaker, GetSetBet is doing incredibly well. Yes, there aren’t so many sports betting markets at the moment, but this is likely to change very soon as the betting site finds its feet in the industry.
Everything is very easy to find, and the very distinctive colour scheme helps lend the GetSetBet website a vibrant and modern feel. You can also enjoy betting on the apps, which match the betting site perfectly.
Elsewhere, there is strong security in place as well as full licencing for Australia. You can see the latest odds and these get updated automatically throughout the day. The Next to Jump feature for racing is particularly great for racing punters.
Finally, while there are no live betting options, there is the Get Set Bet TV feature that allows racing punters to watch the latest races. Hopefully, in the future, this will be expanded to cover other sports events as well.
Sports and markets at the GetSetBet sportsbook
Once you sign up, you can get the GetSetBet promo, but before we look into that, let’s take a look at the sports available. Ideally, we want to see at least 30 different sports betting markets here.
The GetSetBet racing and sports section only offers 18 different sports. Many of these are popular options in Australia though, with Aussie Rules, rugby league, cricket and various racing options being the standouts.
In particular, you can find both Australian and international racing options here. However, there are some big sports missing, noticeably there is no American football for example nor are there many car racing options.

- Strong Aussie markets
- Focus on racing
- Array of international events
- No unique betting markets
- Limited sports
Kicking things off, I was instantly unimpressed with the offerings here as 18 sports markets is a little low for my liking. But then this site is new so maybe there will be more sporting event options in the future.
As far as wagering sites go, GetSetBet is actually not that far off many other sites. For instance, Bbet has 19 sports plus eSports on offer, which really isn’t much of a difference, not to me at least.
Most of the main sports were there too, I was particularly impressed with the Aussie sports on offer and that GetSetBet actually prioritised them. However, when I remember that bet365 has 40+ sports, more do need to be added I think.
Additional market details: Aussie Rules is one of the more popular sports in Australia and GetSetBet definitely meets this need. As one of the featured events, you can find all the latest betting options including the AFL Premiership and some exciting AFL futures as well.
Additional market details: Rugby league is also very popular throughout the country and is another featured sport on the GetSetBet website. There are a range of different betting options here too including NRL futures, the Telstra Premiership and Betfred Super League.
Betting features at GetSetBet sportsbook
When we look at betting sites, we want to see a range of different betting features to help boost the gameplay on the site. This can include live betting, streaming and more.
GetSetBet does not have any live betting options on the site at present. However, it is possible to enjoy live streaming of various races via the GetSetBet TV button at the bottom of the main page.
As there are no live bets, it’s not possible to get an early cashout. However, on the bet slip, it’s easy to create bets and even employ the bet builder to create same race or even same game multis.

As for other betting features, they are somewhat limited here. There is no betting exchange or virtual bets. However, there are round robin and other system bets on offer for some sports.
Betting features rating
- Live streaming on races
- Strong bet slip
- Many multis offered
- No live bets
- Lacks cashout option
There are definitely some great features on offer here at GetSetBet, though I will be honest and say not quite as many as I would like, which is why the score isn’t quite as high as it could be.
Of course, when I compare it to Dabble which has a ton of social betting features, it really doesn’t look so good. But, its strengths lie in the same game multis and I am really happy with those.
It was a little disappointing not to find any live betting options like the ones Betfair has. But then again, under Australian law most sites must offer live betting over the phone. I’m sure they’ll add this in the future.
Additional features: As same-game multis are a big feature here, it’s worth highlighting them. Rather than just placing single bets, you can combine markets to make bigger bets and get higher fixed odds. They’re riskier, but they do bring more rewards if they come to pass. GetSetBet has this betting option for many different sports and races on its site which is very exciting.
GetSetBet sports betting odds
It’s very important to have access to some of the top odds out there if you want to enjoy competitive betting. We take a look at the payout percentages to see if you can achieve just that.
Ideally, a good site should have an average payout percentage of around 95% and higher. GetSetBet sits on a high 94% as an overall payout percentage on the site as a whole.
Some of the individual sports are a lot higher though. For instance, NBA betting odds are significantly higher as is ice hockey. However, football betting does drop to around 93%, which is a bit low.
Odds facts
Category | Details |
---|---|
Average payout | 94.64% |
Boosted odds | Yes |
Parlay boosts | Yes |
Line movement | Moderate |
Though many sites offer live betting, GetSetBet does not. As such, there are no in play betting payout percentages available. Typically these will be lower than the percentages for pre-game bets.
Odds rating
- Competitive odds
- High fixed odds in multis
- No live betting payouts
I was really impressed with the odds and payout percentages I found here. Overall, this site really shines in this department and, I’ll be honest, this was not something that I had expected at all.
To put this in perspective, GetSetBet’s payout percentage is just shy of Bet Right, which has one of the highest odds payout percentages out there (94.90%), so well done to GetSetBet.
And, this far outstrips BetNation which sits around the 90% mark. As such, I really felt GetSetBet deserved the high score I awarded it and hope to see that it continues doing well in this area.
Payment methods found in our GetSetBet review
Though commonly overlooked, being able to choose from a range of different payment methods is a must at online betting sites. Top sites will have at least 10 different options available.
GetSetBet has four payment methods available. These are Mastercard, VISA (both debit and credit card), as well as POLi and bank transfer. There are no eWallets or prepaid card options offered.
The minimum deposit is very low for most payment methods and is set to just AU$20. However, for bank transfer deposits, there is no minimum deposit limit at all, which is a perk.

Deposits are instant and withdrawals are processed twice a day. If you manage to request a withdrawal before the shut off time, you can get same-day payouts. Payments are also processed over the weekends as well. There are no fees in place for any of the payment methods on offer. However, it is a good idea to check this from your bank’s side of things.
Payments rating
- Same day withdrawals
- No deposit minimums on bank transfers
- Low minimum deposit
- Limited number of payments
- No eWallets or prepaid card options
I was impressed with the same-day withdrawals here, as not many sites offer this. This is similar to Bookmaker which also has one-day withdrawals but that site offers eight payment methods putting it on top as GetSetBet only has four.
Similarly, Neds has nine payment methods and covers a much wider variety of options. As such, I did knock points off here as I would have liked to have the option of using an eWallet at the very least.
However, I was really impressed with those speedy withdrawals though and that did bring my score up even with just four options. again, as this is a new site, I’m hoping more options will be added in future.
Safety features
Being able to play in a safe and secure environment is a must. This is why we stringently check all licencing and security protocols before we recommend a betting site for you to play at.
GetSetBet holds a valid licence from the NTRC. On top of that it has many different wagering partners such as the AFL, Racing NSW and Racing SA, all of which only partner with reputable sites.
In addition to this, the online betting site is SSL encryption protected. This ensures that any private and banking data you provide to the sportsbook is not accessible by third parties.

Safety rating
- SSL encryption
- Aussie licensing
- Many approved betting partners
- Nothing unique
Another strong entry here for GetSetBet in my opinion. All the main security features I look for are present and correct. I will just say that it’s a shame that there isn’t anything unique or special available.
While there is SSL encryption in place, I couldn’t find the exact encryption protocol available. Ladbrokes has a whopping 2048-bit, which is one of the best in the industry and really, GetSetBet can’t compare to that.
In fact, I found that GetSetBet was similar to Sportsbet which has 256-bit but also no auditor listed. I am not too concerned by this though, as all other areas of the site were really good here.
Customer support
Even if a betting site is operating at the highest level, if there are no support options in place, this is not going to get a good score from us. Ideally, we want three options.
Here at GetSetBet there are two main contact options. These include a sticky live chat that can be found on the bottom right of each page. There is also an email option, but no phone.
Within the live chat is an FAQ section where you can type in the different questions you may have. These are comprehensive and do help to reduce the time needed to contact support.

Support rating
- Sticky live chat
- Email provided
- 24/7 support
- FAQ only available in chat
- No phone number
I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a lot to like here. This was especially the case once I actually managed to find the FAQ section which, I will admit, was a bit hidden.
I liked the live chat a lot, particularly because it was sticky. And, unlike ZBet which has a bot to start with but then does change to a real person if needed, GetSetBet has real people on hand.
Additionally, GetSetBet’s help is 24/7 which beats out Bet Deck, which offers limited support with short opening hours. Overall, I would give this site a higher score, but the long search for the FAQ has dropped it a bit for me.
Platform and usability
Finally, we always look at the usability of the site as a whole. This is because we want to ensure that the site is offering players an easy-access interface that’s got the sports laid out clearly.

GetSetBet has a very simple, modern style interface with a bright pink and black design. It’s easy on the eyes and keeps everything very clearly laid out without too much clutter.
This also translates across to the apps, which keep this minimalistic style. It’s perfect for navigating around on the smaller screen as there aren’t too many menus or drop-downs to contend with.

On the surface, I really like the look of this site even if there is no dark mode and a ton of white backgrounds. It’s very easy to see where everything is and generally operates in an intuitive manner.
I really liked the fact that the Live TV section is at the bottom left. Clicking on it means it covers the bottom of the page, or it can be removed as a separate window. CrossBet also has a TV section that pops up nicely too, so this was a nice match.
I will say too that GetSetBet is an improvement on BlueBet, which has a somewhat glitchy interface with some sections that didn’t work. That’s emphatically not the case here with everything working well and no broken links. Good job, GetSetBet!
