Expert verdict
There’s plenty to like as we conclude our Casumo sportsbook review. First, there is an excellent selection of sports to bet on, and various bet types accompany this. Some popular sports like chess or racing are missing, though.
There is a welcome bonus which is offered only to new players. However, regular players can also access a range of rewards, including odds boosts and the like.
Casumo sports site has managed to achieve a lot, though, given this is predominantly a casino packed with casino games. There is strong support and a good range of banking methods to deposit money.
Odds are also competitive for the most part. And once you verify an account and make a deposit, players have instant access to bets with minimal effort.
Bonuses at Casumo sportsbook
If you’re getting ready to enjoy some Casumo betting, you’ll look for the bonuses. We know this, so we cover it first in any Casumo sports review. You’ll be pleased to know that there are several bonuses available here.
There is one welcome bonus for the sportsbook. This is a cashback bonus offer. Players have to place a bet for it to work but will then receive a free bet up to NZ$50.
The entire amount will be returned to the player’s account if a bet is lost. This cashback offer has to be activated by ticking a box.

Bonus rating
- Good welcome offer
- Low wagering requirements
- Odds boosts available
- Lacks additional sports bonuses
I wasn’t overly impressed with the deposit bonus offer here at Casumo, if I am being sincere. It’s a little lacklustre in comparison to other bonus offers out there.
That being said, I can’t quibble too much as this bonus is on a similar level to the one offered by 888Sport. And it does mean you get to try again if your first bet fails, as you are awarded this free bet.
However, similar to sites like BetVictor, very minimum wagering requirements are in place. Where game weighting applies for casinos, there is a minimum bet requirement.
There are other bonuses offered here, too, as expected.
But I couldn’t find them listed under the promotions section. Instead, options like odds boosts are found in the main sportsbook section.
Casumo sports and betting markets
When looking at a sportsbook, one of the top features to check is the sports on offer. We want to see at least 20 different betting markets to give a good score.
At Casumo sports site, there are 30 different sports on offer. These include popular NZ sports such as rugby union and league, cricket, and football.
Other sports are available such as basketball, baseball, motorsports, American football and F1. Niche options are also available, with a collection of eSports for betting.

Finally, the Casumo sports site has a few racing betting options, including horse and dog racing. However, it does have trotting.

Sports & markets rating
- 30+ sports available
- Range of leagues and markets
- Unique sports available
- No horse racing except for trotting
Overall, I am pleased with the range of betting markets here. There are also 30 sports to be on, which I expected.
Regarding betting markets, sports like basketball game options did feature highly. But football impressed the most with 200+ betting markets, more than the 170 or so I found on Bet365.
Of course, I do have to say that the number of sports could be improved upon. Betway Sports has 35 to Casumo’s 30. But there is a great esports game presence here which is not always the case at other sites.
However, I will still express some disappointment. There is a distinct lack of any horse racing or dog racing options. As these are hugely popular in NZ, this seems like an oversight.
Rugby union is one of the most popular sports in New Zealand. There are many top tournaments throughout the year, including the local league for NZ teams. International competitions include the Rugby World Cup and the Rugby Championship.
Football is also increasingly popular in the country. Similar to rugby, numerous leagues are available worldwide on this site. In particular, there is a focus on football from the UK, with the Premier League a top betting option.
Betting features
Even if a sportsbook has a good selection of betting markets, this isn’t enough if there are no good betting tools to go alongside. And this is what we check out here.
Casumo sports betting site kicks things off with a helpful bet builder feature. Players can add numerous bets with a button, all of which get added to one bet slip.
There is also the option to enjoy live betting. Not all sports are available for this, but players can follow the action as it unfolds, changing their bets as it does so.

You might be interested that I did not give Casumo such a high score here. And there are a number of reasons for that.
Yes, Casumo does have a bet builder, and this is where most of the points come from. The bet builder is easy to use and advertised in a popup on the main betting page, ready for you to use and play. That being said, NEDs bet builder is probably still the best around.
I will also give big points to the live or in-play betting options here. You can access various live bet options across various sports, though other sites still do better.
Another point in favour of Casumo is the fact that there is indeed a cashout option. Not for all sports, but I am far from complaining here, as MyBookie offers nothing.
I would like to have the ability to stream some of the games and events on offer, though. Currently, this is missing, and the only way to keep up on the game action is to refresh the scores.
The bet builder is one of the best features of this sportsbook. It enables you to combine any bet you like into one slip. You can even mix and match sports and games together. So you can place a basketball bet and add an eSports one letting the sportsbook do the work and pull the data together.
Casumo sports betting odds
Whenever we conduct a sportsbook review, we must consider the odds and payout percentages available to see if this is acceptable to players.
Ideally, we want to see a payout percentage in the range of 95 to 97% if we are to give a high score to the site. Anything under 93% should be avoided.
Casumo sportsbook has an average payout percentage of 95.02%, which is marginally higher than other sportsbooks worldwide.
Odds facts
Category | Details |
---|---|
Average payout | 95.02% |
Boosted odds | Yes |
Parlay boosts | Yes |
Line movement | Moderate |
The sportsbook has a somewhat lower payout percentage when it comes to live betting, for instance. This is at 88.34%.
Odds rating
- Competitive odds
- Clear minimum odds
- High odds for football
- Live odds are lower
I will say this was not what I expected. Honestly, I thought Casumo would have a lot worse odds and payout percentages than it did. And I am happy to be proved wrong.
Okay, yes, the payout percentage is on the cusp of what I consider excellent. But it still is there, scraping its way to the top. If we take Ladbroke’s 93.5%, then Casumo is genuinely excellent.
In terms of live betting, there are some issues. The first good aspect is that the live odds refreshed themselves automatically. No need to do this yourself.
The bad point I must address is the low payout percentage for live bets on Casumo. At just over 88%, this is very low and far worse than the 94.59% from an impressive Stake.
That being said, the odds are genuinely good for all sports. And I overlooked a market where there were particular concerns otherwise.
Payment methods
Often an area overlooked by players, we always check payments in our review. Typically we want to see ten options so that users have a range to choose from when making deposits and withdrawals.
At Casumo, there are five different payments available. These include card options for both debit and credit card users. E-wallets are also available to make a deposit.
Withdrawal options are far more limited. While deposits are instant, withdrawals can take up to two days to appear in the final account, but Casumo claims to process withdrawals within hours.

Low minimum deposits are available on this site. And there are no fees in place for most payments. It’s always worth checking whether any final financial institution implements fees from their end.
At this point, it’s worth pointing out that there are fewer withdrawal options than deposit, so players may need to switch payment options across transaction types.
Payments rating
- Trustworthy options
- Fee-free transactions
- Speedy withdrawals
- Few payment options
- Possibility of withdrawal fees
On the surface, an eclectic mix of payments is available on Casumo. I just want there to be more, as five is simply not enough.
Elsewhere, there is good and bad too. Like most sites, the first deposit is somewhat higher than the norm. NZ$10 is the minimum for a general deposit, though this is still higher than the NZ$5 offered by Sportsbet.
I will say that it was nice to see that any deposit option was instant. Withdrawals take up to three days, similar to LeoVegas Sports.
Everything else was standard and matched the rest of the sports betting world with no transaction fees. I’d just like a bit more choice in future, particularly for withdrawals.
Safety features
Any online sportsbook and casino must have a range of security protocols in place to keep all players safe across all areas of the site.
First, this sportsbook and casino is fully licenced and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission. As such, all games and betting options take place in a secure environment.
In addition, the sportsbook and casino are audited by eCOGRA, which ensures that all casino games are operating fairly and in an unbiased manner so players can play without concerns of unfairness.

- Range of safety features

- Responsible gambling platform
- Difficult to verify safety claims
Happily here, I found the security to not only be solid, but generally above average. I will address what I discovered right here.
A well-respected licence is in play here, and it makes both the desktop and mobile sites incredibly secure. It’s on level with most other sites out there.
Casumo has a 256-bit encryption protocol in place which protects user data from being accessed in line with other sites, such as Wallacebet.
Where Casumo shines, though, is responsible gambling tools, beating out almost all other sites, including 1xBet. It’s the main reason for my high score too.
Customer support
Another feature we focus on in any sports or casino review is the support offered. After all, it’s no good if the site has an issue and you can’t contact anyone.
Generally, we like to see at least three different support options on a sports or casino page. At Casumo, there are two options for players to use.
The main one is the live chat, available 24/7 and can be found at the bottom of every page.

Support rating
- 24/7 live chat
- Quick response times
- Helpful support team
- No phone support
- Short FAQs
I am very happy to say that this has a very strong support system on both the desktop and mobile platforms, even if there are only two options.
If I am getting the bad out of the way first, no phone is available. And this is something that PlayUP does offer.
However, I felt Casumo was excellent regarding the live chat and response time. The staff was incredibly helpful and speedy, similar to the PlayZilla live chat experience I had.
I was also pleased to find a very detailed FAQ and help section. This is great for all players who don’t want to use the chat or email options. It was very informative and covered everything I needed.
Platform
Finally, especially when it comes to beginners looking to access a new casino or sports betting site, there needs to be good design and navigability in place.
Casumo is easy to get around as it offers a clean and clear design. It’s predominantly white and has minimal pop-ups or graphics to slow load times.
The clean look helps to keep everything very simple. And the menus are minimal, with only the main gaming areas listed.

Platform rating
- Good user experience
- Fast loading times
- Various useful filters
- Harder to use on mobile
As I come to the end of this review, you will see a trend. Yes, indeed, I am pleased with the options provided here in terms of usability.
While initially, it does seem a little overwhelming in terms of the sports and games available, and there are filters here listing options for Starting Now and so on, beats ExciteWin, where filters are distinctly lacking.
The mobile site is good, too, offering the same method of registration (which I found to be fast) and even having the same first deposit bonus and odds available.
I like that there is a mobile app, which is better than Winz.io, which lost points for its lack of an app. The app could be cleaned up for higher scores in the future, and the myriad options in the betting markets could be somewhat better laid out.
