ExciteWin sportsbook review: New Zealand 2025

As a starting point, ExciteWin sports does a really great job of making a good impression. There is a small, decent welcome bonus for new players right from the start.

I was happy to see that ExciteWin instantly does better than BetVictor, for example, as it matches your first deposit up to NZ$200, whereas BetVictor only does it up to NZ$100.

I was also happy to see that there are free bet and accumulator boosts available, which makes a nice change when it comes to playing here.

However, all free bet offers, sports bonuses and so on are subject to 6x rollover requirements. This is much higher than the 1x from PlayUp, which is a little disappointing for me, hence the slightly lower score.

I was absolutely stunned to find over 40 different sports on offer here. Not only that, but there are so many leagues as well.
There are 41 ExciteWin sports on offer, and, amazingly, this is nearly the exact same number as bet365, which offers 43 sports.

ExciteWin even leaves LeoVegas in the dust here, as that site only has 37 options. Like LeoVegas, football is one of the top choices, with over 900 wagering markets on offer.

However, the only downside is when it comes to racing. Initially, I thought ExciteWin didn’t even offer racing as it was hidden in a side menu.

One of the top sports here is football. As mentioned, there are multiple leagues on offer. When clicking on football, there’s an extensive dropdown of countries, and the various leagues and events are within those countries. Everything across the globe is covered.

Similarly, basketball is also extraordinarily well covered. If you want basketball bets, the top leagues like the NBA, the NCAA and women’s leagues are all available.

Again, I was really pleased with the options I found here, as ExciteWin has really pulled out the stops to try and give players a great time.

I was very pleased to find that there were virtual bets on offer for both basketball and football. While I would like more, Ladbrokes offers none at all, so points to ExciteWin.

There are also excellent options when it comes to placing in play bets. In fact, this is one of the easiest live bet sections I have come across.

With live bets so accessible, it was also nice to see live streams. Again, this could be better with more games covered in the future, but as Stake doesn’t offer live streams at all, it’s another win for ExciteWin.

Finally, that bet slip is a thing of beauty. You can change the odds formats, toggle between accepting higher odds, always asking about odds change or accepting any odds change, which was a really nice feature for me to find.

Multi-bets are a fun way of making life even more entertaining when you play online. Add a number of single bets onto your bet slip and combine these bets into one. It’s riskier, but the overall payout can be a lot better. However, every single bet or leg must come to pass for the bet to pay you your winnings.

Yet another excellent showing from ExciteWin, and it’s really nice to see. I was impressed with the payout percentages across the board here.

Impressively, ExciteWin is actually much better than the high-scoring Royal Panda, which has an average payout percentage of 95.20%, which I was really surprised by.

However, the payout percentage did drop a lot for live bets, which is to be expected. But here, ExciteWin really doesn’t hold a candle to William Hill, which still manages to offer an impressive 95% for live bets.

Elsewhere, I was happy to see that there are boosted odds on offer for a number of sports. And, you can claim free bets on different ExciteWin sports.

I guess, if I am, to sum up, this part of my ExciteWin sports review, I’m still really very happy and couldn’t ask for more here.

Again, this section shows ExciteWin at its best. I felt I was almost spoilt for choice with so many payment methods available. This isn’t a complaint, though!

Amazingly, I had to knock points off here because Winz.io beats ExciteWin in this department —a crypto sportsbook with 21 options.

Additionally, a lower minimum deposit requires just a NZ$10 deposit rather than the NZ$20 at ExciteWin.

If you want to go low for a first deposit, TAB is the way to go, with a minimum limit of just NZ$0.01. But, with only four payments on offer, I’ll take ExciteWin’s huge selection of options over that low deposit. More points to ExciteWin!

I must admit, after thoroughly examining ExciteWin, finding any significant faults has proven to be a challenge. The platform delivers on all fronts and truly exceeds expectations.

However, to be honest, if I had to nitpick, I would say that the 128-bit SSL encryption is a little bit lower than what I anticipated. Nevertheless, it still provides adequate protection for your data, so there’s no need to worry.

Compared to Ladbrokes, which offers 2048-bit encryption, ExciteWin may fall slightly short, but let’s face it, 2048-bit encryption could be considered overkill for this type of platform.

The only other minor issue I have is with the Curaçao licence. While it’s not quite as strong as the MGA licence held by bet365, it does fulfill its purpose of ensuring a safe and secure platform for users. ExciteWin is a great option for those seeking an enjoyable and trustworthy online gaming experience.

This is probably one of the lowest-scoring sections of ExciteWin, which is quite impressive. It’s just a bit of a letdown only to have two support options.

The live chat is available on each page though this is a tiny sticky bubble, which is almost unnoticeable unless you’re looking for it, which isn’t great.

That being said, at least anyone can get in touch. This is not the case at Royal Panda, which only offers live chat to members. I dislike having to sign up to ask a question.

There’s also no phone number which is a little disappointing, especially compared to sites like PlayUp that have a support phone for help and placing wagers. However, the rest of the support is very strong, so it’s not something missing.

Initially, the site looks a bit overwhelming as there are so many menus on the left and lots of data and figures. But, in reality, it’s very straightforward.

First, I will say that I love that it’s predominantly black with a dark theme. For instance, the bright white of sites like LeoVegas is one of my main gripes about playing on that site. It’s also a bit text-heavy which is something else that ExciteWin avoids.

Unlike BetVictor, there is no mobile app here, but I am not taking off points for that. This is because the mobile browser version gave me the same wagering experience, allowing me to claim any bonus and winnings just like the desktop option.

And I love the filter options here, which is an area where BetVictor is lacking. So, overall, this site is super easy to use, and I just loved it!
