Editor's note
This review is based on the operator’s current offer in New Zealand. Data and analysis below are accurate at the time of publishing, but may be subject to change as the operator’s offer expands.
Expert verdict
On one hand, I found that Amazon Slots has a good range of different game categories.
At the same time, the table game section was minimal.
Similarly, the bonuses are somewhat lacklustre for my liking, though there are regular options in place for those that stick around.
Everything does work well, but the site does have a rather dated look and runs slowly at times. Navigation could be significantly improved with the addition of game and provider filters.
I was also unimpressed with the lack of 24/7 support at Amazon Slots, which I feel needs to dedicate much more attention to its customer support service.
Bonus
Amazon Slots starts things off by offering newcomers to the site a no-deposit bonus of 20 free spins on the pokie, Safari Riches.
Following this, there’s a welcome bonus. Once players make a qualifying deposit, they get a free spin on the Mega Reel, where various prizes can be won including Amazon vouchers and 500 free spins on select games (among them, Starburst, Fluffy Favourites, and Rainbow Riches). Different terms and conditions are attached.

Bonus rating
- No deposit bonus awarded
- Gamified loyalty programme
- 65x wagering requirement
- Underwhelming welcome offer
I appreciate welcome offers with no deposit requirements, since they’re becoming increasingly rare to find. Amazon Slots offers 20 free spins on Safari Riches, which is a good start.
However, the rest of the offers and discounts are lacking. I was disappointed to note that the deposit bonus is a free spin on the Mega Reel. BetandPlay’s 300 free spins and up to NZ$2,500 is vastly superior.
Despite the underwhelming welcome bonus, where there’s a possibility of winning 500 free spins, there are some very high wagering requirements attached. I find 65x is poor compared to Winz.io’s lack of requirements.
The rest of the ongoing bonuses are similarly wishy- washy and don’t really amount to much. This is such a disappointment given the initial start seemed so promising with the no- deposit offer. The only exciting promo is the CashDrop, which is a Jumpman exclusive feature that gives players the chance to win real-money prizes on the daily.
I do like the trophies gamification for loyal customers. Complete mini tasks and you can move up through the levels claiming free spins and other perks as you go.
Games and software
There are more than 2,000 casino games on offer at Amazon Slots. These include a wide range of different games, though the majority of them are pokies.
In addition to pokies, there is a section on table games that meshes both the live casino and virtual options into one category. Options include blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.
There are no video poker games, but there are a variety of other options, including scratchcards, bingo, and jackpots, which help to somewhat round out the selection.

Games rating
- Thousands of pokies
- Strong jackpot section
- Scratchcards available
- No video poker
- Limited live casino
The game catalogue is not the biggest here, but this is far from an issue for me. I like a carefully curated games library after all, preferring this to an overload of bad games.
Amazon Slots focuses on pokies primarily, which is no bad thing. There are hundreds of them, but 1,900 pokies is still far less than the 3000+ offered by Nitro. I expected better from a casino with ‘slots’ in its name.
There are sixty or so jackpots though, and these cover a wide range of different game types. It’s not the biggest selection, but it’s better than the 30 offered by Woo, which is nice to see.
However, the casino is lacking when it comes to the live tables selection. I should have known it wouldn’t be great since the virtual and live table games were mixed together under one menu tab.
I’d like to see more than 30 live dealer tables. This, and the lack of video poker games, are a disappointment, and one that the availability of scratch-cards and bingo cannot make up for.
Payment methods
There are four payment methods at Amazon Slots.
These include card payments, bank transfer, and Skrill. Each of these methods offers speedy deposits and low minimum limits, with both deposits and withdrawals starting off at just NZ$1. Maximum deposits are not listed on the site.

Payments rating
- Accepts cards and e-wallets
- High withdrawal limit
- Low minimum deposits
- Slow withdrawal times
- Limited payment options
I want to see more than eight different casino payment methods to score a NZ casino more highly, not the four options available at Amazon Slots.
Okay, so yes, there are card payments, and an eWallet, but four options is nothing compared to BC-Game’s nineteen, which also allows players to use a range of cryptocurrencies.
At least in terms of the transaction limits, things are significantly better when it comes to Amazon Slots. There’s a minimum transaction of NZ$10, which is the same as Wildz’s lower limits.
Amazon Slots also surprised me by having a maximum withdrawal limit of NZ$100,000, which is very competitive.
As a final disadvantage, each withdrawal takes up to six days, so you’re going to be waiting around for those winnings when you get them.
Safety, transparency, and reputation
Amazon Slots has a UKGC licence and one from Alderney, which is the applicable licence for New Zealand casino.
There are various responsible gambling tools in place. You can set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits. You can also self-exclude or opt for a cooling off period.

- SSL encryption protocols
- Two casino licences
- Limited responsible gambling tools
- No RNG auditors listed
At least things are looking up in the security section. As this is the section I am most stringent about, it was nice to see two licences in operation.
While the Alderney licence is applicable to NZ, there is a UK one for Amazon Slots too. That being said, bet365 has an MGA one, which still offers more security across the board.
When it comes to the site’s other security measures, there are still issues. Namely, 128-bit SSL is not as strong as Playzee’s 256-bit protection. I’d also like to see an auditing seal at Amazon Slots, given that competitors like Playzee are audited by eCOGRA.
I was also disappointed to find that there are very few responsible gambling tools in place. This is really not good as it means players are left to fend for themselves.
The only ones here are deposit limits, some self-exclusion, and cooling off. Amazon Slots doesn’t make it easy to access or implement them either since you have to request these limits via email.
Customer support
At Amazon Slots, there is a live chat available. This is open Monday to Friday from 9AM to 4PM. A contact form is available outside office hours.
The contact form doubles as the email as there is no email address listed on the site. It has a two- to three- day turnaround, excluding weekends.

There is a small FAQ section, which is where players can find answers to some of the questions. The section is not very detailed and only covers very broad topics.
Support rating
- Live chat
- Contact form
- No 24/7 availability
- Slow response times
- Live chat isn’t sticky
This section needs a bit of help if I’m to score it better.
Yes, there is, in theory, a live chat function but I had to go through the help section to access the feature.
Almost all other sites have 24/7 support, but not Amazon Slots where you’re left with a contact form on the weekend or on weekdays after 4PM.
There’s no email address provided as there is at casinos like King Billy. Instead, it appears to be a contact form that replaces the live chat.
The FAQ section is too minimal. It seems that Amazon Slots, like other casinos under this ownership, simply don’t care enough about the players to engage with them.
Usability
Players should always be able to navigate comfortably and easily around a casino website, no matter whether it’s on a desktop or mobile device.
Amazon Slots’s user interface is relatively navigable and intuitive. It has clear menus along the top, showing the different games and casino areas.

Within the games, there are different sub-categories to help filter the list of games. There are no further game or provider filters, but there is a search function available.

Amazon Slots casino doesn’t have a mobile app, but it is responsive and optimized for use on mobile browsers. The complete set of games can be accessed from a phone.
Usability rating
- Search function
- Clear menu
- Dark theme
- No game or provider filters
- Slow loading
Now, in terms of usability, I don’t hate the design of Amazon Slots. It works well, and generally has the main sections outlined nicely, making it easy to navigate.
I am also happy to see that it has a dark theme which is far easier on the eyes than the white spaces prevalent on LeoVegas’ website, for example.
Despite the smooth navigation, it features no game or provider filter. In contrast, Casimba has both, which makes for a much easier playing and navigation time.
I will also say that the look and feel of Amazon Slots is a dated one. While minimal, it somehow just feels old and a little bit clunky.
Added to that is the fact that it’s very slow to load. And this is the case across all the different platforms, not just on a desktop. It didn’t impact my gaming this time around, but it might.
