Bonuses at Casimba casino NZ

As everyone is eager to find out what the welcome bonus of a new casino is, we’re kicking off our Casimba casino review, covering just that.

The welcome bonus is split across three deposits. For the first deposit, you can get a 200% match up to NZ$5,000 + 50 free spins on NetEnt games. The second deposit is a 25% match up to NZ$1,000, with 50 free spins on eligible NetEnt pokies.

Finally, the third deposit bonus from Casimba mobile casino gives you a 50% match up to NZ$500 and a final 25 free spins on eligible NetEnt pokies.

This welcome bonus and bonus spins have wagering requirements attached. These are 35x and must be met before a withdrawal can take place.

Casimba casino also considers ongoing players. There are regular promotions and the casino’s loyalty program where players can earn loyalty points toward more rewards, thus improving the gaming experience.

Bonus rating

88/100 Strong set of bonuses, but bonus terms could be explained better
  • Lucrative welcome offer
  • Loyalty program bonus
  • Many cash prizes and giveaways
  • High wagering requirement
  • Poorly outlined bonus terms

Well, both on the Casimba casino app and desktop, there’s a great deposit bonus up for grabs. I am always a fan of a first deposit bonus extending over multiple deposits, which you get here.

As with all bonuses, there’s a minimum deposit at just NZ$20, which is a touch higher than the NZ$10 offered at Guts, but I am not complaining.

I was happy to see that I could claim free spins across all three of the deposit bonuses. However, the number is not that great, especially compared to the 300 free spins offered by

I was also disappointed to find that there is no Casimba casino no deposit bonus on offer. But, there is a loyalty program coupled with more free spins, so it’s not a total loss here.

And there are no Casimba casino bonus codes to contend with. Instead, once you’ve signed up, just make sure you tick the opt-in box for the welcome bonus. Don’t exceed the maximum bet, and you’re good to go.

Casimba casino games: over 4,000 titles

We like to see any online casino offer a wealth of games, preferably more than 500. Casimba casino has almost 4,000 casino games available.

These games predominantly include pokies. With over 3,000 on offer, it’s possible to find classic games as well as video pokies and some large progressive jackpots.

The casino also has a range of virtual table games. This selection includes classic blackjack and roulette variants as well as some more unusual options.

The casino also has a number of video poker games, though other games such as bingo, keno and scratchcards are less available on this platform.

Casimba casino rounds things out with a decent, if small, live dealer casino. Here, there is a range of classic live games such as baccarat, roulette, blackjack and game shows.

92/100 A diverse selection of top-quality games
  • Thousands of pokies
  • 60+ jackpots available
  • Diverse virtual games
  • Limited live casino
  • Few video poker games

I really love getting my hands on a large selection of games. Casimba casino amply provides this with nearly 4,000 games for me (and you) to sift through.

Impressively, this is a far better amount than the 1,100 offered by JackpotCity. Though, as the name suggests, JackpotCity does beat out Casimba casino regarding the number of jackpots on offer.

For the positives, though, there are more than 3,000 pokies here, including classic and video games. There are even Megaways games available, which I enjoy.

I will say that the live casino is a bit of a disappointment. Only 64 live games is nothing to shout about. Amazingly, though, it’s still better than the 54 offered by Stake.

In terms of finding games, I don’t really have too much to complain about. The thumbnails are easy to scroll through and the game categories list the number of games found in each one too.

Software providers

To actually power the Casimba casino app and desktop platform, there needs to be a range of top providers offering up their games. We would like to see at least 20 providers.

Casimba casino far exceeds that using the combined forces of 123 different game providers. With so many providers, it’s easy for the casino to offer many of the world’s favourite casino games.

Providers here are diverse. They range from the well-known, such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming and so on, to the lesser-known.

Smaller developers here include Triple Edge Studios, Blueprint Gaming, Alchemy Gaming, Synot Games, and Big Time Gaming. All of which offer games that are compatible with play on the mobile browser version.

These days, more and more online casinos are using games from an increasingly large number of providers. And I am totally here for it!

Casimba casino uses 125 providers, which just runs bet365 right into the ground – that casino only uses just over 20 providers.
That being said, bet365 does have bespoke software offering up games found nowhere else. Casimba casino hasn’t got any of its own games at this time.

I did find that the live dealer section (as mentioned previously) is a bit small. This is due to having four providers, Evolution, Authentic Gaming, Pragmatic Play and Ezuigu, powering the collection. In contrast, LeoVegas uses nine live providers.

That said, I am a big fan of more providers and particularly enjoy finding games from smaller studios, games often overlooked by some of the bigger online sites.

Payment methods

Being able to actually play for real money means that there needs to be a good selection of payment methods provided. For a top score, this should be around ten or more.

Casimba casino has ten different payment options for New Zealand players. These include card payments, bank transfers, prepaid options and eWallets.

Due to licencing restrictions, payments via cryptocurrencies are not permitted. There are more deposit options than withdrawal ones so players may have to change payment methods for those transactions.

Deposits are instant, although withdrawals can take up to five days. The withdrawal process is further slowed if wagering requirements on bonus money are not met before the withdrawal is requested.

There are no fees in place for any of the payment options. However, this is from the casino’s side so it’s always worth checking from the payment provider’s end as well.

93/100 Solid options, but more options would be better

  • No fees
  • Instant deposits
  • Limited payment options

Now, I will say in advance that this is where some of Casimba casino’s features started to disappoint me. I’d like more information readily accessible when it comes to banking.

First, only ten payment methods are available to NZ players even though far more are listed on the site. Even BetAndPlay has 11 options.

However, BetAndPlay does have an NZ$30 minimum deposit, which is a fair bit higher than the NZ$20 available on Casimba casino so more points to Casimba here.

Where I was really unimpressed was with the information surrounding transactions, withdrawals and limits. is clear in all departments giving clear mins and maxs for all transactions. Not so at Casimba casino.

Nevertheless, while not one of the top-scoring casinos in terms of payments, it’s still very solid. No fees are in place and transactions seem to be relatively swift.

Safety features

Staying safe is an essential component of any online casino. We want to see licences, auditing, responsible gambling features and more to award high scores here.

Casimba casino holds two licences. Owned by White Hat Gaming, the casino has a UK Gambling Commission licence and a Malta Gaming Authority one.

These are two of the strictest jurisdictions out there. As such, there are many excellent security features in place such as strong SSL encryption protocols preventing third parties from accessing player data.

The casino also has responsible gambling protocols in place including self-imposed player limits, the ability to self-exclude or simply to cool off.

Again, I found a lot to like here at Casimba casino. But still, it is not a perfect score as there are areas that could do with improvements.

There are two licences here, and both are from top jurisdictions. King Billy, for instance, only has one licence and it’s from Curacao.

That being said, at least King Billy listed the auditing seal (iTech Labs). This was something I was unable to find at Casimba casino, and that did affect my score.

I was also disappointed to find that there was no SSL encryption information. Wildz casino has 256-bit, and it’s listed on the site. I can only hope that Casimba casino is somewhere in the same region.

Of course, Casimba casino has SSL encryption, so it’s not a bad issue. And elsewhere, the casino passed my security tests perfectly well. I am just a stickler for the details and want more.

Customer support: available around the clock

No matter how good an online casino appears to be, getting in touch with customer support promptly is a must.

We like to see three customer support options, one of which must be available 24/7. However, Casimba casino has two options: live chat support and email.

The live chat is sticky and can be found on the bottom left of every page on the website. Clicking on the button gives you almost instant access to a staff member.

The live customer support is available 24/7. It is not bot operated, nor do players need to log in to their account to speak to someone.

Support rating

94/100 Above-average response times and helpfulness, but lacks good FAQs
  • Fast response times
  • 24/7 live chat support
  • Staff surpasses every expectation
  • Vague FAQs
  • Cluttered terms and conditions

I do love some good support, even if I don’t always actually use it. But I like to have it there as a safety net just in case, which is why I diligently check it all out.

First, Casimba casino got in my good books by offering 24/7 support. This is something lacking with other sites like Dunder, which has reduced hours only.

I was also thrilled to find that the live chat was sticky (no hours wasted trying to search for it). And I didn’t have to have an account to chat with someone.

I will say that while this isn’t a complete complaint, it is a little. The FAQs need some work. LuckyWins casino has issues here too, but Casimba casino was worse.

In future, I’d like to see more effort given to the FAQs with more options. There wasn’t even a search function for me to see if any other questions were answered – just a block of rather unhelpful text – it didn’t even give me the correct banking options, I had to get in touch with support for those!

Casimba casino has a simple layout. On the left side of the page is a menu with all the main headers for games, promotions and more.

There is also a Casimba mobile app available. However, this is only available on the Google Play store for Android users. There is no iOS app at this time.

Both mobile platforms, app and browser, follow the same layout and design as the main desktop site. Switching between the platforms is easy with the same login.

Usability rating

88/100 Mobile-friendly and simple interface, but lacks an Android app
  • Simple and uncluttered menu
  • Fast loading times
  • Mobile-friendly interface
  • No iOS mobile app
  • No advanced game filters

So, mobile access. Well, there is good and bad here too. Mostly good though, I just want Casimba casino to up its game in some areas.

Let’s get the burning mobile app question out of the way. Yes, there is one. But unlike Spin Casino, the Casimba casino app is only available for Android users.

Don’t get me wrong, though. Just because there is no iOS app, it doesn’t mean iOS users are out of luck. Like JustCasino, there is a mobile browser version with all the games.

Overall, the look, feel and speed of the mobile platform are exactly the same as that of the desktop site. I could find nothing to fault it when switching between the two.

I was also very pleased to see the simple menu on the left with all the main areas featured here. However, I would have liked to see more options such as banking, here too.

I was disappointed to find no game filters, much like my issues with PlayZilla. The search function is good, though and does allow searches for providers as well.

Expert verdict

As we’ve covered in our review of Casimba casino, there’s a lot to love about this site. First, there are thousands of online casino games covering everything from pokies and jackpots to live dealer games.

There is a great welcome bonus, too, split across three deposits. And there are 50 free spins to claim on NetEnt pokies. This deposit bonus can be claimed via mobile devices, too.

The rest of the site as a whole works well, too. It’s simple to use, has a strong support team, and you can even earn loyalty points to claim more offers.
