Loot Casino review
There’s no Loot casino no-deposit bonus, but this doesn’t detract from the plethora of other bonuses on offer. Read on to find out about them right here.
- Good games library
- UKGC and Alderney licences
- Solid gaming interface
- 65x wagering requirements
- Slow support offered
- No response to player complaints
Editor's note
This review is based on the operator’s current offer in New Zealand. Data and analysis below are accurate at the time of publishing, but may be subject to change as the operator’s offer expands.
Expert verdict
Loot casino is a little hit and miss at times. While I’m happy to say that it has solid licensing and excellent responsible gambling tools. But, support is slow and there’s a distinct lack of interest in addressing player complaints.
The interface is clean and easy to navigate through. However, there are no game or provider filters.
Though there are some great ongoing bonuses in place, the welcome offer is rather disappointing, especially since it’s coupled with some extraordinarily high wagering requirements.
Bonus
Loot Casino has a first deposit bonus aimed at new players. The offer combines both a match deposit and free spins. The 200% match deposit bonus matches up to NZ$400. There are also 50 free spins to be used on Sahara Riches which are awarded immediately.
There are other bonuses as well. For instance, there is an exclusive giveaway option, which changes depending on the month. A CashDrop event is also available throughout the year.

Bonus rating
- Strong loyalty programme
- Mix of promotions
- High wagering requirements
- Small welcome offer
- Limited ongoing bonuses
As far as casino bonuses go, I wasn’t totally disappointed here. Yes, the welcome bonus is a little limiting, but it’s far from the worst. And, there are ongoing bonuses to keep things going for regular players, which I always like to see.
That being said, Loot’s welcome bonus only covers up to NZ$400 and is worth 50 free spins. In comparison, Nitro’s offer is instantly better with double the number of free spins awarded and an even higher match deposit bonus value.
Where things are a little bit shocking for me is the wagering requirements. I get it that these can be high, but 65x is ridiculous. Winz.io, for example, doesn’t even have wagering requirements in place.
Elsewhere, the bonuses cover the different game categories. There’s something for bingo players and live casino-goers, which makes a nice change. Many different free spins are offered in the Turbo Reel promo too.
What I did like was the gamified loyalty programme. It’s a little different to the norm, but I like the fact that completing tasks gets you trophies. Each level brings new perks and free spins, which is fun.
Games and software
There are thousands of games on offer at NZ Loot Casino. The majority of these are pokies, with a couple of thousand for players to enjoy.
These pokies cover a wide array of different game types. There are some 60 jackpot games as well, and these are found in a separate category for ease.
Loot Casino has over 50 virtual table games. These cover everything from roulette and blackjack, to baccarat and poker. There are no video poker options available though.

Games rating
- 3,500+ pokies
- Excellent bingo section
- Soft casino games provided
- No video poker games
- Some categories are underrepresented
It’s always hard to truly rate a game collection, as everyone’s tastes are a little bit different.
Loot’s selection is relatively mixed but it’s not the biggest collection I’ve seen covering casino reviews for New Zealand. Having 3,500 games is decent, but Lucky Days has more with over 5,000 on offer. And Loot is very pokie-heavy, which won’t appeal to everyone.
Where the selection struggles is in the lack of video poker games. On top of that, I noticed how small the live casino is with just 20 games compared to BetandPlay’s 600+. I’d look elsewhere for casinos with live dealer tables.
I was also disappointed to see that the virtual table games and jackpot sections were not that well stocked. However, there is a very strong scratchcard section which mitigates my disappointment.
And, I will say that having a bingo vertical is a major plus. There are nine different rooms available, with tournaments listed every couple of hours and some major prizes on the line.
Payment methods
Being able to make a secure payment is a must when playing online. Loot Casino New Zealand does this while making sure the top payments for NZ players are present.
The main options are via card payments, with both VISA and Mastercard accepted. They can be used to make deposits and withdrawals, just like Skrill. PaysafeCard is also available as a deposit-only method, while bank transfer is supported for withdrawals.
Deposits are instant for all cashier options but withdrawals can take up to three days, depending on the payment method. There is also a fee in place for all withdrawals.

Payments rating
- Card payments accepted

- No cryptos
This is another somewhat lacklustre section if you ask me. There are only four different options for making deposits, which doesn’t really give NZ players much in the way of choice when it comes to casino deposit options.
For deposits, the minimum limit is very low with just NZ$1 available, which is better than the NZ$10 from Woo. But Woo has seven options compared to Loot’s four.
Withdrawals are more concerning. There are fees in place which, while transparent, means that players are less likely to make smaller withdrawals.
In comparison to sites like King Billy where there are no fees at all, this is a disappointment. However, Loot doesn’t have any limits on withdrawals while King Billy caps payouts at NZ$6,000.
All in all, I was not overly impressed with the options here. I do appreciate the complete transparency, but even finding some of this information was hard.
Safety, transparency, and reputation
Being secure and safe online is a must, and casinos like Loot Casino need to ensure they have options in place to keep players safe at all times.
Loot holds two licences, one from Alderney, and the other from the UKGC. Both of these have solid protocols outlining the security measures casinos need to implement to protect players.
Additionally, the casino has strong responsible gambling tools, offering everything from self-exclusion to deposit and loss limits. All are clearly displayed and can be implemented easily when logging into the account section.

Happily, this is one area where Loot Casino does get nearly everything right. And thank goodness it does as I was beginning to wonder whether or not this casino had much going for it.
Loot holds licences from the UK and Alderney, though it’s the latter licence which is applicable to NZ players. This is on par with 888Casino’s set of licences though 888 does also throw Malta into the mix.
While Loot does take care in offering solid security, it was a little disappointing not to find any RNG auditor seal. SpinYoo, for example, is audited by eCOGRA, which helps to show players games are fair. It would be nice to have that here, too.
However, I can’t complain at all when it comes to the responsible gambling tools. All tools are fully available, which means I can easily set limits on my deposits or losses.
I will say that the company behind Loot, Jumpman Gaming, also runs other casino brands like Amazon Slots and Fever Slots. Though this isn’t a security guarantee on its own, it does indicate that the company has the technical stability to run its operations properly.
Customer support
There are various options available for customer support. These can be found when hitting the help button located in the footer of the main page of the website.
The live chat is available from Monday to Friday between 9AM – 4PM only. There is no support on the weekend.
There is also an email option available, though this appears to be via an email contact form that doesn’t display an email address. The web form is operated via the live chat section.

Support rating
- Live chat
- Email and contact form
- Minimal FAQ
- Limited live chat
- Very slow response times
Without a doubt, the support is the section that needs the most work at Loot casino. Frankly, I am shocked at how poor it is given the importance of helping out players if you want them to stay playing.
To start with, the live chat is only listed as operating on weekdays from 9AM to 4PM. In comparison to Wildz’s, 24/7 live support, this clearly falls short.
The live chat button is hidden away in the help section, and when I tried using it, it only offered an email contact form. So is there even live chat?
There’s no actual email address provided, and three days is too long for an email reply. BC.Game puts Loot to shame here offering multiple ways to get detailed answers from helpful agents.
Really, I should have known this wouldn’t be great. Loot is one of many casinos operated by Jumpman, which seems to have opted for a casual attitude toward players and has a reputation of not answering queries or complaints.
Usability
Generally, Loot Casino is easy to use. It has a clear, uncluttered layout and a clean white design, which makes it very easy to read all the different pieces of information. There is a clear menu along the top for the different site areas.

It’s a browser site only, but it works well on both desktop and mobile browsers. This allows players to access all games across any device they choose to play on.

Usability rating
- Clean and uncluttered
- Simple menus
- Missing game and provider filters
- No design identity
- No mobile app
- Slow load times
Again, Loot doesn’t perform consistently in this area. Yes, it’s very clean and uncluttered, but the background stock photo displaying a stack of coins makes the site seem dated and unprofessional.
For instance, there is a menu across the top, but it only has the live casino. No casino is listed which is a little confusing, unlike the detailed menus found on Casimba, which make it all abundantly clear.
I will also say that the two-second load time leaves much to be desired Playzee does a lot better coming in at a second, which keeps things flowing smoothly.
Loot doesn’t have any game or provider filters either, which is incredibly annoying. I wasn’t able to see any of the providers that are available unless I clicked into the information of each game.
I wasn’t much of a fan of the different game categories either, especially as it appears the live casino and virtual table games sections are mixed.
