This was a bit of a hard one to score for me. So, while there are thousands of games, I was a little underwhelmed by the diversity. I liked that I could play the games on any device, though, without the need for a Wallacebet casino app. 

While other casinos like Excitewin casino also have thousands of games, they did it better by having more variety of games from a larger number of providers. On Wallacebet, it’s simply not enough to have many games. 

I will say this, though, the live casino is impressive. More than 400 games are here, which far and away outstrips sites like JackpotCity, putting this site back on the front foot.

However, where this site falls is in the progressives. I love to have a few spins on a progressive jackpot slot, but Wallacebet’s library was surprisingly lacking in choice. You won’t find any of the big games like Mega Moolah, King Cashalot or Tunzamuni here, leading me to dock a few points from an otherwise stellar score for games.

Again, despite having more than 20 providers to choose from, I found this section a little lacklustre. Many of the smaller providers don’t actually offer that many games. 

This is in direct contrast with PlayZilla casino, which has over 100 providers and utilises all of them properly. At Wallacebet, for instance, I was disappointed that some providers listed, such as Atomic Slot Lab and Blue Guru, offered just three games apiece. 

However, I did enjoy the fact that there was a provider filter. Furthermore, I was pleased to see that the site is regularly updated. I could tell because the first time I opened the site, I found Playson listed as a provider but with no games offered. The next day, when I checked back, 82 Playson titles were listed! 

Additionally, this casino really pulls up its socks in the live dealer section. I thought Excitewin was doing well here with 200 games, but Wallacebet has 400+. Not only that, there are five different providers. 

This matches internationally recognised sites like LeoVegas, which also offers four live game providers for their live dealer games section. I was impressed, which is why Wallacebet doesn’t score too low.

Now, the payment methods are both good and bad, giving this section yet another middling score from me. On the one hand, there are 10 different payment methods, including nine with which to claim your casino bonus and play games. 

Notably, all but two of the deposit methods can be used to make a withdrawal, which is incredibly welcoming. You can’t use Neosurf or Paysafecard for withdrawals, but you can use direct bank transfer instead, meaning there are eight withdrawal methods available. Overall, those 10 payment methods are in line with other competitors like PlayZilla casino and Zodiac offer. 

The minimum deposit limits are reasonable at NZ$15-25, depending on the method chosen. But this is knocked out of the park by Spin Casino, which has minimum limits of just NZ$5-10. Additionally, Wallacebet’s withdrawal limits are, frankly, absurd. While there’s an acceptable minimum withdrawal of NZ$25, if you’re using a bank transfer, this goes up to NZ$100. No one should use bank transfer here. 

Furthermore, there’s a maximum cap for withdrawals per day. And this is a paltry NZ$1,000 across all payment methods, something other Wallacebet casino reviews have complained about. Casumo doesn’t even list a maximum cap, so there are no limitations. 

The saving grace is that there are no fees for any of the transactions. And all of the payment methods can be used to claim the welcome casino bonus, be it the second deposit bonus or the reload bonus. I’m still not impressed, though.

Okay, so on the surface, Wallacebet casino looks pretty good. There’s nothing special about the security, but all the important features are there, ticking the boxes for me. 

Yes, there is a licence. And yes, a third-party company is checking that all the games are fair, which is in line with all other NZ casinos, such as SkyCity. So then, what’s the problem? 

After a bit of searching, I came across many unhappy customers. Players’ reviews are negative, and they dislike how the casino treats them. 

I take this very seriously. After all, it’s the players that will know. This is a huge difference from somewhere like Casumo, which has many positive reviews over bad ones. 

I can’t quite pinpoint where Wallacebet is going wrong, though. Maybe it’s the ridiculous wagering requirements. The basic security is there, hence the average score, but I won’t go higher than that.

There’s nothing really bad about the mobile site for Wallacebet casino. But at the same time, I didn’t find anything particularly standing out on this platform either. 

I will say that not having a mobile app is not too much of an issue. This is similar to other sites like Wildz, which offers all of its games, apart from a few older titles running Flash technology, through a mobile browser. The main point is to have a mobile-accessible platform in one form or another; for the most part, this site works. 

Some areas could be improved, but most relate to the desktop site too. However, I liked that many games could be played in demo mode on both platforms. 

I will say that the mobile site does look a bit better than the desktop version here, though. Everything is a bit neater, and having disappearing menus helps to make it a bit more professional. 

It’s not my favourite mobile site, but it’s not the worst. For instance, unlike JackpotCity, which only offers 50% of its games on mobile, Wallacebet is closer to a full complement. I will give it points for that.

Okay, so you might be thinking I am being a little harsh. Why so low for customer service? Well, really, in this day and age, I expect to have 24/7 support. 

Wallacebet doesn’t do this and even has very limited operating hours. I wasn’t very impressed with this. Even Casino Tropez, with opening hours from 6 am to midnight, is operating for longer. 

I will concede that when I did get in touch, the support staff were very helpful. They quickly answered my question on free spins and wagering requirements so I could go on my way. 

I would like to see more effort put into the FAQ section, as I felt it was lacking. There were only basic questions here; lots of this was just technical setup stuff. In contrast, Mr Green offers much more detail on various topics. 

I wasn’t impressed to find the bonus section rather misleading, either. Why talk about wagering requirements with an example of 35x when the requirements on Wallacebet are 50x? Much more transparent to use the real figures, in my opinion.

For the most part, I really don’t have a problem with the layout and design of this site. Some bits do seem a little old-fashioned, but this is nothing compared to the dated site that is Lucky Nugget. 

Navigation was very easy across all platforms, with clear menus across the top. Okay, so I would like more detailed game categories, but what was there is pretty adequate for most. 

I also don’t mind the colour scheme, though it is slightly bright. I am all for a dark mode option or just a darker background like at ExciteWin casino — it’s easier on the eyes. 

Getting started on this site was also not a problem. I tested it on my mobile and desktop and got the same form that only took minutes to fill out to get started. 

Overall, this is far from the worst design. It does a good job getting players from A to B with minimal fuss. However, while it did get a decent score, it does need to provide a few more game categories to get a higher score.
