Expert verdict: is McLuck legit?
The short answer is yes, and I’d recommend this sweeps casino with only a few caveats. My experience at McLuck has been largely positive especially because of the strong games catalogue, powered by 19 providers.
Players can use Gold Coins and Sweepstakes Coins to play over 870 slots, as well as live baccarat, roulette, and blackjack. Game filters are helpfully specific and the desktop version of the platform provides a smooth user experience.

McLuck Loyalty Club
There are eight tiers in the loyalty program, from Iron to Black Diamond. Newly registered users are automatically enrolled in the program, with no minimum GC spend required. To climb up the levels, however, you do need to reach a spent GC threshold per month or per year for the higher tiers.

Weekly SC rewards and Welcome Rewards are calculated on the basis of two considerations: how many GC you play and your overall game results. Additional rewards may also include access to exclusive promotions, tournaments, and weekly competitions.

There’s no max win limit on any of the jackpot tiers. The RTP of the GC McJackpot is 50% while the SC McJackpot RTP is 70%.

I like the range of promotions available at McLuck. The bonuses are compatible with the best sweepstakes casinos in Canada. For example, the welcome offer of 7,500 GC gives you just over 100 minimum spins on most slots, which is the benchmark I tend to look out for. Even though there are sweeps casinos with heftier welcome bonuses and daily rewards, I didn’t have to purchase any GC so far, though the free SC are higher at other casinos.
The Loyalty Club tiers not only unlock perks but also come with weekly GC boosts and SC rewards. You do have to keep up the pace to retain your loyalty level, though.

McLuck does a great job when it comes to its game selection. The numbers are strong, particularly when it comes to slots. There’s no free demo play but your pre-purchase GC stash should see you through. Despite the missing table games, the good-quality live casino games come as a treat. The availability of some Slingo games also took me by surprise here, even though there’s no poker, bingo, or scratchcards.
I really liked the Play the Feature section, where you can choose to activate the slot’s features in a click instead of waiting for the mechanic to turn up. Depending on the slot, this can cost you a good stash of coins, like the 7,000 GC price tag on Big Bass Bonanza Free Spins.
I don’t like it when casinos throw around the term ‘exclusive’ too liberally, and McLuck’s exclusive GC slots are a bit of a misnomer because the titles aren’t only available at McLuck. The only exclusive thing about them is that they’re locked until you purchase a Gold Coin package.

I’m really happy with the volume of game studios available on this platform and I could find most of the first popular titles that sprang to mind. This is especially great for a free-to-play casino.

It’s always good to see safe and fast payment methods like Interac, even if there isn’t PayPal, for example. Purchases start at a decent minimum and coin balance top-ups are instant, but prize redemption can be a whole different story.
The platform’s terms and conditions often use vague terms like “as soon as it is practicable” to describe time frames, and user reviews often mention delays in cash redemptions. I wish McLuck would stick to a more competitive minimum cash prize redemption too. Some of my favourite sweeps casinos start at 50 SC instead of 75 SC, and this is for the same SC real-money value.
What I’d really like is some clarification on the available payment methods. The platform advertises Google Pay and Apple Pay before you sign up, for example, but these options weren’t available to me when I tried purchasing GC.

Ideally, enforcement should be instant and on-page tools are better than email requests. Also, the casino doesn’t have any official RG seals.
I couldn’t find any specific data on the casino’s RTP range or RNG, and customer support agents weren’t able to provide the information either. I tested customer support both before and after I created an account with McLuck. On both occasions, I can happily report that I received an email reply within 12 hours, and I appreciate that there’s a phone line reserved for payment issues specifically.

It’s super easy to browse games by categories at McLuck. I particularly liked how slots are organised by theme, feature, and provider, and that’s just three of the 18 filters. There’s also a search bar, though it did malfunction a couple of times for me.
Load speed on mobile was a bit disappointing at five seconds, and many users complain about app glitches. On desktop, though, I didn’t encounter a single issue on either the browser or the downloadable browser app. Players also rate the app higher when playing on tablets.
