Editor's note: how we rank operators
These Copa América betting sites are ranked according to the odds and quality of their Copa América markets.
If you see a bookie with a lower ‘Sports and markets’ rating ranking higher on the list, it means that while this sportsbook may lack in other sports and leagues, it excels in soccer betting and tailors the offer to the CONMEBOL Copa América tournament.
Top three Copa América betting sites
We’ve picked three sportsbooks based on how suited they are for betting on the Copa América. This includes their specific soccer betting markets, promos, and in-play betting features, while also making sure their overall quality is of a high standard as befits the best sportsbooks in the US.
The closer we get to the event, the more we’ll be able to analyze specific CONMEBOL odds and promos, to keep bringing you the best and latest Copa América betting sites on the markets.
🥇#1 Sportzino — best overall experience
There’s no better betting site for betting on the Copa América than Sportzino, Blazesoft’s innovative social sportsbook launched in 2023.
Sportzino offers 120 markets and 22 futures on the Copa América, including unique prop bets such as when the first goal will be scored. Sportzino also allows for same-game boosted parlays on Copa América matches, for any high-rollers who like to engage in high-risk bets.
This, combined with the fact that Sportzino is a social sportsbook with a 20,000 GC and one SC daily login bonus, means that you can bet on the Copa América without needing to spend a dime.
🥈#2 BetMGM — best for Copa América odds
You can never go wrong with BetMGM. The site recently won the Digital Operator of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards for the second time.
As for its Copa América specific offerings, BetMGM particularly excels at odds. Its payout percentage for soccer is around 95.47%, which beats most competitors on our list. Its live payouts are at 94.93%, which is only slightly lower. Considering live payouts are usually much lower, this is quite impressive.
BetMGM takes this a step further by also offering a 300% odds boost throughout the Copa, so you can expect some nice boosts once the Copa América rolls around.
🥉#3 bet365 — best for Copa América markets
Bet365 has been in the sports betting business for 24 years, with no sign of slowing down now. This extensive experience makes bet365 a pro at lining up 2024 Copa América props at competitive odds.
These bets include “goals in the first 10 minutes”, “half with most goals”, as well as four different types of Asian spread bets. You can combine all of these into a giant soccer parlay with parlay boosts of up to 70%.
Copa América betting odds explained
Betting odds indicate two things: the likelihood of an event occurring, and the potential payout for a $100 bet. Bookmakers adjust odds based on perceived probability, which can be affected by factors like the team’s home-field advantage, current form, and away performance.
For instance, legendary striker Eduardo Vargas is more likely to score a goal than goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, so a prop bet for the former to score will have lower odds and potential winnings than the latter.
When browsing for Copa América odds you’ll see several numbers preceded by a + or – sign. These are known as American or moneyline odds, with the + indicating the underdog and the – indicating the favorite.
Any number preceded by a + sign shows how much money you need to bet to win $100, while any number preceded by a – sign indicates the money you will win for every $100 you stake.
The Copa América 2024 winner — Argentina
Argentina wins! With a late 112-minute goal from Lautaro Martinez, Argentina takes the win against runners-up Colombia to lift the Copa América trophy.
With this win, Argentina now holds the record for most Copa América wins and most runners-up, with 16 wins and 14 runners-up titles.
The Copa América format and schedule
Copa América’s standard format is a round-robin group stage followed by a single-elimination knockout stage.
Of the 16 teams participating, 10 CONMEBOL teams are autmatically qualified to enter, while six CONCACAF teams have to qualify through the CONCACAF Nations League. The Copa América is one of the few soccer tournaments not to automatically qualify the host, so the host team will have to compete like all other CONCACAF teams.
The winner of the Copa América will then go on to battle the winner of the Euro the following year in the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions. Five post-tournament awards are also handed out to individual players, these being:
- Best Player
- Top Goalscorer
- Best Goalkeeper
- Team of the Tournament
- Fair Play Award
Group stage
The group stage involves four groups of four teams each. Each group can have no more than three CONMEBOL teams or two CONCACAF teams each, so don’t expect an all-out brawl between Canada, USA, and Mexico to play out.
Members from each group will play each other in a round-robin format, with three points being awarded for wins, one for a draw, and none for a loss. The two highest-ranked teams of each group will proceed to the next stage, while the other two teams will be eliminated.
The rankings for each group are determined as follows, numbered according to highest priority:
- Most points in all group matches
- Highest goal difference in all group matches
- Highest goals scored in all group matches
If there is a draw, the following tie-breakers will play out in order, until the tie is broken:
- The greatest number of points in the group matches between the tied teams
- The greatest goal difference in the group matches between the tied teams
- The greatest number of goals scored in the group matches between the tied teams
- If the tie remains, lots are drawn by the CONMEBOL Organizing Committee
Knockout stage
Once teams enter the knockout stage, it’s do or die. Any team that loses a match is immediately eliminated, with winners moving on to the next round.
If the match ends in a tie, 30 minutes of extra time are added on, and if that’s not enough then it’s penalty shoot-outs ’til someone comes out on top.
The knockout stage involves eight matches — four quarter-finals, two semi-finals, a third place play-off, and the final.
Bonuses and promos for the Copa América
Sportsbooks love to chuck a few special promos whenever a tournament rolls around, so of course they’d place a few special bonuses for the third most-watched tournament in the world.

CONMEBOL Copa América bet types
All sports have unique bet types, and soccer is no exception. If you’ve been browsing Copa América bets at online bookmakers you’ve probably seen terms like “Asian spreads” or “double chance” pop up quite a bit.
Here’s a quick explanation of all the main Copa América bet types and what makes them unique compared to other sports:
Moneylines
The classic bet for any sport, moneylines are just a flat bet on who you think will win the match. Moneylines in the Copa América work a bit differently depending on the stage. Group stage matches will have three-way moneylines to provide the option of a tie, while knockout stage matches will only have two options.Double chance
Why choose between two options when you can have both? Copa América group stage matches feature double chance bets, where you can lower the risk by betting on two possible outcomes. So you can bet on the home team to win or draw, the away team to win or draw, or both teams to draw. Since there are no ties in the knockout stage, this bet type will be unavailable.Props
Bookmakers love to put in a few unique bet types for every sport, known as props, and soccer is no different. We’ve spotted a few fun Copa América prop bets such as the amount of goals scored in the first 10 minutes, and how many goals a player will score in a match.Asian spreads
These bets will play a much bigger role in the group stage when weaker teams battle stronger ones. Asians spreads give goals to the underdog, so the favorite will need to win by more goals than the amount awarded for the bet to be won. For example, if an Asian spread gives the US +3 goals against Argentina, Argentina must win by 4 goals for the bet to succeed.Halftime/fulltime
Another type of double bet, halftime/fulltime bets involve predicting which team will be leading in both halves. If you think Costa Rica will dominate Peru in both halves, you might try your chances with a Costa Rica/Costa Rica bet.Futures
A classic bet type for any tournament, futures let you predict who will take home the cup. Copa América tends to have some fun futures, such as futures for who will take the different post-tournament awards or who will rank first in their groups.Betting strategies and tips for the CONMEBOL Copa América
So what’s the best way to bet on the Copa América? Like all sports, soccer has a few intricacies that can completely change how you bet.
