There are no prizes for guessing what some symbols are in this game: there are garlic, potions, stakes, and haunted figures, and ghouls who were unfortunate enough to get bitten by a vampire during their mortal days!
This video slot shares many similarities with the original: the same 5×3 grid design, a multi-line video slot, and a high RTP of 96.4%. However, it has a much better max jackpot of 10,000x, which can be triggered through the wilds bonus round. Even for a company the size of NetEnt, picking up an idea from four years earlier and reinventing it to attract a new audience is challenging. Some companies will just go back to what they know, aware that a game has created hysteria or a sizeable audience, and lazily throw out a rehashed version. This isn’t what NetEnt has done with Blood Suckers 2.
Every game component has improved, especially the max jackpot of 10,000x. But the bonus features and graphic design are on another level, too. Even though the game was released in 2017, it still holds its own against some of the titles released in 2025.
The 5×3 grid reel feels like a pointless thing to bleat about, but minor elements like this just shave a few points off the overall rating for me. I might be picky here because little about this game stands out or makes me want to mark it down.
Although individual symbols have increased to an impressive level, there is an inconsistency, and some lower-paying vampire symbols seem not to have been given the same attention to detail. Although, if you enjoy vampire-themed slots, I think you’ll probably accuse me of splitting hairs on this one!
