Expert verdict
Legendz would have been in the running for the best social sportsbook we’ve reviewed if not for a poor bonus section rating.
The all-around solid offering was let down by a severely limiting sign-up offer — 500 Gold Coins and three free SC — that barely gave me time to get going on the site because the GC given was the same as the minimum play for one bet.
If you’re willing to take a leap of faith, though, Legendz still has a lot to offer. With 35 sports available, you’re sure to find something for you. And those sports have great depth to match, too, with a huge amount of markets on offer.
Legendz has a great bet builder that allows for instant adjustments, gives quick access to different types of bets, and has a cool feature to auto-generate parlays.
The platform also takes responsible gaming (RG) seriously, with tools including purchase limits, reality checks, and cooling off periods that can all be implemented without customer support.
If Legendz were to improve its bonus offering, I wouldn’t hesitate to give it a big seal of approval. For now, I’d recommend the site, but I won’t blame anyone for feeling the positives don’t outweigh the negatives.
State differences
Legendz is available in 40 US states, and as a social sportsbook, you’ll find almost the same product regardless of your location. There’s one notable exception: Florida and New York residents have a max redemption value of 5,000 SC per play or spin. Other states allow users to redeem up to 9,999 SC per day.
Connecticut, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Washington, and West Virginia are the 10 states where Legendz is unavailable, as well as Washington D.C.
How does Legendz social sportsbook work?
Players use two virtual currencies on the Legendz platform, Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). Both currencies can be used to make bets on the sportsbook, but GC have no monetary value outside of Legendz.
Meanwhile, SC can be redeemed for cash prizes, with a conversion rate of 1 SC equaling $1. Only SC won through wagers can be redeemed. Cash redemptions require a minimum of 100 SC, while gift cards have a 50 SC minimum.
Players can purchase packs of GC, which come with free SC. Both currencies are also given away through promotions, and SC can be requested via mail-in (three per order).
Legendz bonuses — 500 GC + 3 FREE SC
After signing up and verifying their phone number, users will receive a Legendz welcome bonus of 500 GC and three free SC. No Legendz promo code is needed to receive the sign-up offer.
Legendz also gives new customers 50% extra GC in purchase packs, though the deal must be claimed within an hour of registering.
A daily log-in bonus is available as well through Legendz’s casino, but the winnings can be used to make wagers on the sportsbook.
Players receive 10 free spins every 24 hours on the SC slot, and you can win 0.15 SC per spin. If you rack up 20 winning coin combinations over time, additional SC can be won with a spin on the Wheel of Legendz.

A refer-a-friend program gives 50 free SC to any user who gets three friends to sign up, complete KYC verification, and make a minimum $4.99 purchase. Legendz also posts social media giveaways on Facebook and Instagram.
Bonus rating
- VIP program
- Extremely low sign-up offer
- Time limit on coin boost purchase
- Spins for daily bonus
We’ll get into the things that Legendz does well later, but for me, all of that doesn’t amount to much because of the poor introductory bonus.
Getting three free SC to start with isn’t bad, but even at first glance, 500 GC is underwhelming. But then I discovered the minimum GC play of 500. Yes, that’s right. One no-purchase bet before you have to reach into your own pockets.
Social sportsbooks, of course, want customers to purchase packs. But I want to get comfortable with a platform before spending my own money.
Legendz’s bonus only gave me a few minutes to decide whether I wanted to continue, and in that case, it’ll always be an automatic no, regardless of what else is on offer.
A significant daily log-in bonus could’ve mitigated the poor sign-up offer. But receiving spins that don’t guarantee wins — and take you off the sportsbook — instead of just receiving straight-up credits is just another negative.
35 sports available at Legendz
Legendz has 35 different sports to bet on, with many boasting numerous leagues. For example, there are 80 basketball leagues available from 33 countries and areas.
Other top sports like football, baseball, and hockey are also well-represented. Less mainstream sports on offer include handball, bandy, and snooker.
At the time of this Legendz social sportsbook review, the NFL and the MLB were out of season, so the available data on markets wasn’t representative of those leagues.

In addition to its extensive conventional sports selection, Legendz provides esports betting. The most popular esports — League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, etc. — are all present, as well as more minor ones like Rocket League.
Featured betting markets
Sports and markets rating
- 35 sports available
- Politics, entertainment, and esports betting
- Wide range of sports markets
- Missing cricket
Legendz’s sports offering is nothing short of outstanding. Among social sportsbooks, only Sportzino (41) is in the same league. The platform’s 35 sports even stacks up to standard sportsbook giants like bet365, which has 34.
Legendz doesn’t stop there, though. There’s a solid range of esports and a varied specials selection, including political and entertainment events.
I had to nitpick to even find a negative for this category. While cricket is an afterthought in the US, it is one of the world’s most popular sports, so its absence is still odd.
Legendz betting features
Legendz offers betting features like the “claim out” feature to close a bet before the result is in, as well as a bet builder that allows you to easily create parlays. Same-game parlays aren’t allowed, though.
The “My combo” feature on the bet builder auto-generates a parlay based on your preferences — such as sport, bet type, and minimum return — with a few simple clicks.
Bet types like moneyline, spread, totals, and prop bets are all on offer, too.

Legendz has a huge selection of live betting options, with the number of events often getting into the triple digits. However, there’s no live streaming on the platform.
Betting features rating
- Cashout available
- Bet builder with varied customization
- No same-game parlays
- No live streaming
Legendz’s bet builder is one of the better ones I’ve used, especially among social sportsbooks.
The “My combo” feature was particularly appealing, allowing me to easily experiment and adjust potential parlays. But as someone who enjoys focusing on one game when I wager, the lack of same-game parlays hurt.
With 35 sports, it’s no surprise that the live betting section is stacked. However, while there’s certainly quantity in sports, there lacks a quality in features.
Admittedly, few social sportsbooks offer live streaming. But ones like Sportzino not only have it but make it a standout feature. So it’s still a notable negative when absent.
Legendz social sportsbook odds
Legendz’s overall payouts are around 94.94%. Basketball had the best payout rate of the major US sports at 96%.
Meanwhile, football and baseball both came at 95% — the platform’s overall average— while soccer produced a 95.78% mark.

Live betting produced significantly lower odds, giving a 92.8% payout rate. Legendz offers parlay boosts but doesn’t give out boosted odds.
Odds rating
- Great basketball payouts
- Parlay boosts
- No boosted odds
- Low live payouts
When you go onto Legendz’s site, you’re hit with a top-of-the-page banner that reads, “Best odds in the country.”
However, that was far from my experience with the platform. The general payout was essentially the 95% average across the market. So, it’s not only not the best but below the likes of Sportzino (96.12%), BetRivers.Net (95.36%), and Betr (95%).
While I was happy to see basketball give out an excellent figure, I was frustrated the other big four US sports didn’t match up, especially football.
For live odds, Legendz (92.8%) came in below BetRivers.NET (93.37%) but ahead of Sportzino (91.84%). But it’s still a disappointing mark, particularly when a platform sells itself on market-leading odds.
Seven Legendz transaction options
At Legendz, users have seven payment methods to choose from: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Skrill, Trustly, and bank transfers.
Meanwhile, bank transfers, Skrill, or gift cards are the choices for prize redemptions.
Payment facts
Category | Details |
---|---|
Number of payment methods | 7 |

Maximum purchase | $4,999 (custom packs) |

Maximum redemption | 9,999 SC daily |
Average prize-redemption time | 24 hours |
Trading in your SC for cash requires a 100 SC minimum while exchanging them for gift cards has a 50 SC threshold.
Legendz’s GC packages range from $4.99 to $4.999. On top of this, the platform allows you to purchase packages with a custom amount, so you can exactly how much you want to spend.
Purchases are processed instantly, while redemptions can take up to two days to be approved and need an additional day or two to hit your account.

Payments rating
- Major credit cards
- Customizable GC packages
- Accepts e-wallets
- Limited redemption options
- No PayPal
Legendz has most of the standard purchase options you’d expect, though PayPal is a notable absence.
Still, being able to use Skrill makes up for that somewhat. With credit and debit cards, and e-wallets among the other options, I never found myself limited.
Redemption options, however, could be improved. Only bank transfers, Skrill, and gift cards are available, so I’d like to see that expanded to match the purchase options.
While I’d prefer a lower minimum for purchase package than $4.99, Legendz gets big kudos for its custom purchase feature. You can set the exact amount you want to spend rather than being limited to the set figures. Sportsbooks should be flexible, and this is a great example of how to do it easily.
Legendz’ number of transaction methods (seven) stacks up well with its competitors, matching Thrillzz and just beating out Sportzino and BetRivers.Net (both six).
Is Legendz safe?
Legendz is owned by Platinum Panther, LLC, a company based in Delaware. It’s available in 41 states, and as a social sportsbook, it isn’t required to be licensed to operate.
The platform protects customers’ data with 256-bit SSL encryption with RSA technology and two-factor authentication (2FA).

RG tools available include purchase limits, reality checks, and cooling-off periods, which Legendz calls time-out periods. All can be accessed easily through your account page and implemented within seconds.
For time-out periods beyond six weeks, including indefinite self-exclusion, customers have to contact support via email.

Safety rating
- Responsible gaming tools
- SSL encryption
- Trusted by the RGF
- No wager limits
It’s expected that sites use both 256-bit SSL encryption and 2FA to ensure customer safety, but it’s still good to see from a new social sportsbook.
Just as welcome is the range of RG tools Legendz offers and how accessible they are. I don’t want to go through multiple complicated steps or contact support to set things like purchase limits or enable reality checks.
Incomplete RG features are too common with social sportsbooks. For example, Sportzino lacks options for setting limits and BetRivers.NET has no RG section at all. So Legendz’s well-rounded offering is welcome.
The only missing feature is wager limits. While social sportsbooks use virtual currency, I still believe they should help form good habits for traditional gambling by allowing users to set betting limits.
Support at Legendz — three help options
Support at Legendz is provided through two main channels: live chat and email.
The live chat first connects you to a virtual assistant designed to give quick answers to simple questions. If the chatbot can’t help you, you simply ask it to connect you with a real-life agent who is there to help with more complex queries.
The chatbot has issues, however. It wouldn’t always respond to questions, appearing frozen for no apparent reason. When it did, it sent the same reply several times despite different queries.
It began to work as intended later on in the review research, though. Live agents were much more consistent, replying to questions within a minute or two.

Legendz also has a detailed FAQ page that’s split up into sections like “currencies” and “technical issues” to make it easier to answer. Nearly every section has double-digit answers to typical questions.
One support option Legendz doesn’t have available is phone support.
Support rating
- Email response within 24 hours
- 24/7 availability
- Unhelpful chatbot
- No phone support
Since a live chat is always my go-to support option, it was good that it was easily accessible at all times with a sticky button.
But the live chat’s virtual assistant was frustrating. Several times, the chatbot spammed me with the same reply or couldn’t answer a simple question.
Fortunately, the rest of the support options were useful. Once I got to a human on live chat, the responses were helpful and concise. I also received a detailed email response within 24 hours when I made an email query.
Even though Legendz’s live chat is flawed, its presence for a social sportsbook is a rarity. It’s not an option at Sportzino, Fliff, BetRivers.NET, and Thrillzz, and only Thrillzz provides phone support as a secondary option to email.
While I’d have liked to see a phone support option at Legendz too, the platform covers its bases admirably.
The usability of Legendz’s platform
Legendz doesn’t have a dedicated app but is available on both desktop and mobile. The platform has opted for a clean, minimalist design that is easy to navigate. It has neatly designed menus to house its large number of sports, with clear sub-menus.
On desktop, all the sports and organized in a vertical menu on the left side in a style that emulates most real-money sportsbooks. On mobile, a scrolling menu at the top of the page gives users quick access to the main sports.
A search bar to make jumping from league to league simple, with the tool allowing players to search for specific teams and athletes as well as sports. Legendz also allows users to customize their feed based on their preferred sports, leagues, and athletes.

Registering with Legendz was straightforward, with three brief pages of information needed to get initial access.
First, players set up a username and password while providing an email. The next page asks for address and phone number information. Finally, players must confirm their phone number with a code to get access to the platform. To begin redeeming prizes, Legendz requires additional ID verification.
Loading times were also rapid on both desktop and mobile, with switching between menus on both mobile and desktop almost instant and rarely taking more than a second to load.
Legendz is also home to a sweepstakes casino, which is split into “casino” and “live casino” in a menu that can be accessed from the top of the page at all times while on both mobile and desktop.
Platform rating
- Clean, minimalist menus
- Consistent loading times within one second
- No mobile app
I found Legendz’s platform to be intuitive and crisply designed. It mirrors a lot of what traditional sportsbooks do, and it’s all the better for it.
Even with 35 different sports and hundreds of individual leagues, I never got lost thanks to the menu design and the functional search feature.
No mobile app is a major drawback, though. Top competitors like Fliff and Thrillzz boast both dedicated iOS and Android apps, so switching back to a web browser to use Legendz, even a well-optimized one on mobile, is still a little jarring.
While Legendz worked well on mobile, I preferred the desktop, as it was easier to navigate the huge number of sports and markets.
