Expert verdict
BetRivers.NET is an excellent social sportsbook most of the time, but it doesn’t always stick the landing in some areas.
The sheer number of sports you can bet on is staggering, and plenty of betting options are available for every sport. You can even bet on esports, politics, and entertainment. With well over 100 live betting options a day, you won’t be wanting for variety at this social sportsbook.
However, every other aspect of the sportsbook falls just slightly short. The promos lack value, the odds are on the lower end, and there’s no phone or live chat support. There isn’t even an RG section at all, with no tools available and RG text hidden in the terms and conditions.
Still, I do think BetRivers.NET is worth checking out. If you want to bet on niche sports, you’re almost guaranteed to find them here on this site.
State availability
BetRivers.NET is available in all US states. This is due to it being a play-for-fun social sportsbook, which allows it access to states that other social sportsbooks might not usually be available in.
The offering is the same no matter which state you access the site from, so if you decide to road trip across all 50 states you’ll still be able to bet at BetRivers.NET without a hitch.
How does the BetRivers.NET sportsbook work?
BetRivers.NET is a play-for-fun social sportsbook, which means you cannot redeem coins for prizes on this site.
BetRivers.NET uses Virtual Credits (VC), which can be earned through promos, won through successful predictions, or purchased from the site. VC has no value outside of BetRivers.NET, and can only be used on the site. It is not possible to redeem VC for cash prizes, physical prizes, or gift cards.
BetRivers.NET bonuses — 250 VC
Newcomers to BetRivers.NET are immediately gifted 250 VC upon creation and verification of the account. Not only that, but new bettors can also try their luck at a spin wheel, which will give them anywhere between 10–1,000 VC.
The spin wheel can be used once per day for a daily login bonus. There is also a bi-hourly bonus, where players receive between 20–60 VC every two hours. It is unclear how the quantity of VC is decided.

It is important to note that while BetRivers.NET does have a VIP Program, known as the Rewards Center, the VIP Program does not apply to the sportsbook section of the site.
Bonus rating
- Handy promotions bar
- Chance for big spin wheel wins
- Obscure terms
- The VIP Program is unavailable
With just three promos available, BetRivers.NET is on the lower end of the spectrum. To compare, Thrillzz social sportsbook comes in with six ongoing promos, double what BetRivers.NET offers.
The thing is, even with just these three promos, BetRivers.NET still could have something great on their hands. A spin wheel is a fun idea for daily credits, and the bi-hourly bonus guarantees a regular stream of currency.
My problem is a lot more with the value than it is with the promos themselves. Sure, you could get 1,000 VC with the spin wheel, but you equally have a chance of getting just 10 VC, which is a joke. Sure, you could get 60 VC every two hours from the bi-hourly bonus, but you could also only get 20 VC, and the terms don’t explain how you get one or the other.
With so much left up to luck and uncertainty, it’s entirely possible to have a day where you end up with barely any VC. It’s a real shame, especially since some solutions are staring BetRivers.NET in the face, like just expanding the already existing Rewards Pack VIP Program to include the sportsbook.
38 sports available at BetRivers.NET
BetRivers.NET has 38 sports available. These include popular sports such as basketball, football, and soccer, and also niche sports such as pesapallo, trotting, and Gaelic sports.

Sports and markets rating
- Huge sports selection
- Loads of betting markets available
- Politics and entertainment available
- None
The sports offering at BetRivers.NET is perfect. No notes, good job, gold stars all around.
Ok fine, I guess I’ll explain a bit more. The sheer variety of sports on display is overwhelming, with loads of sports available to bet on. Having special options like politics and entertainment is a nice plump cherry on an already oversized cake.
The only social sportsbook, or even sportsbook in general, to have more sports available is Sportzino, with 41 sports available. However, here’s the kicker — Sportzino has a 96/100 score, while BetRivers has a perfect score. That’s all thanks to one crucial difference — betting markets.
Sure, Sportzino offers a ton of sports, but it offers few bets on those sports. Even football only has 130+ markets at Sportzino, while BetRivers.NET has a whopping 500+. BetRivers.NET isn’t just letting you bet on these sports, it’s flooding you with options. That right there is the reason why BetRivers.NEt ultimately takes the lead.
BetRivers.NET social betting features
BetRivers.NET has a user-friendly bet builder, that allows you to build up single bets, parlays, and round robins. You’ll also be able to make use of early cashout to withdraw from a prediction before it completes.

BetRivers.NET offers a huge selection of live betting options, with well over 50 different events to bet on every day. No live streams are available, and unfortunately, data offered during the live matches is very basic with in-depth stats missing.
Betting features rating
- Early cashout
- User-friendly bet builder
- No live streams
- Only basic data offered
Pretty much everything you could want in a social sportsbook is here. There’s a solid, easy-to-use bet builder, with loads of different bet types including spreads, totals, and those ever-present moneylines. Not to mention a handy early cashout option.
I have mixed feelings about the live betting offering though. On the one hand, the volume is huge, with loads of different live events to bet on. However, it’s very much a case of quantity over quality, with no live streams available and extremely basic data.
The data especially perplexes me as BetRivers’ real-money sportsbook has a deal with GTG Network to show a huge amount of data. For some reason, this partnership does not extend to BetRivers.NET social sportsbook, so almost no data is shown instead. This seems like a pretty egregious oversight which BetRivers.NET hopefully fixes very soon.
BetRivers.NET betting odds
BetRivers.NET’s average payouts hover around the 95.36% range. This number stays roughly the same for football, basketball, and baseball, at 95.24%, 95.41%, and 95.50% respectively.
Odds facts

---|---|
Average payout | 95.36% |

Live payouts take a bit of a dip, at 93.37%. While there are no boosted odds at BetRivers.NET, you can get some small boosts with parlays.
Odds rating
- Parlay boosts
- Frequent line movement
- Low general payouts
- No boosted odds
I have to be honest, I’m not particularly impressed with BetRivers.NET’s payouts. While not the worst out there, they could still be somewhat better.
To compare, Sportzino’s average payouts clock in at 96.12%. BetRivers.NET is falling behind its direct competitor, and unfortunately, it doesn’t offer bosted odds to catch up.
Where BetRivers.NET does a little better is its live payouts, at 93.37%. Live payouts are always a little lower, and here the difference is understandable. It’s also a lot better than Sportzino’s at 91.84%, so at least it’s beating its competitor somewhere.
Six payment methods at BetRivers.NET
Bettors have six different payment options available to purchase VC from BetRivers.NET. These include VISA, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, PayPal, and instant bank transfer.
All purchase requests are processed instantly, and BetRivers.NET doesn’t have any transaction fees for purchases.

Since BetRivers.NET is a play-for-fun social sportsbook, there are no withdrawal or redemption options available at this site.
Deposit methods
Payments rating
- Low minimum purchase
- PayPal available
- Low maximum purchase
- No Skrill or Apple Pay
BetRivers.NET certainly gets the job done when it comes to payment methods, beating out competitors like Fliff which only has five options available.
BetRivers.NET features all of the popular cards and even has a popular e-wallet payment option with PayPal. I do miss options like Skrill and Apple Pay, but it’s not a big deal not to have them when PayPal is available.
I’d also like to see a higher maximum purchase option available, to give more options for the high-roller bettors out there.
Is BetRivers.NET social sportsbook safe?
BetRivers.NET is owned by Rush Street Gaming, a reputable gaming company with several sites under its belt. These include the real money BetRivers betting sites, SugarHouse, and RushGames.
BetRivers.NET implements 256-bit SSL encryption, with ECDSA technology to keep you safe. This is stronger than the standard RSA technology that comes with the usual SSL encryption.

Unfortunately, there is no Responsible Gambling (RG) page anywhere on BetRivers.NET’s site, nor are there any RG tools available such as self-exclusion or limiters. There is only a brief mention of RG in BetRivers.NET’s terms of service.
Safety rating
- ECDSA SSL technology
- Reputable Rush Street Gaming owner
- No RG section at all
- No TFA
Let’s start listing BetRivers.NET’s safety features. BetRivers.NET has SSL. That ends our list of BetRivers.NET safety features.
In all seriousness though, while the security of the site might be fine with the SSL, the RG safety is a joke. Worse than a joke even, it’s an insult, with BetRivers.NET providing nothing to help protect its player base.
This is completely unprecedented, with every single legal US gambling site providing at least a page with some numbers to helpful organizations. Even though social sportsbooks are not legally required to do so, they all do it anyway as it’s a simple way of helping out their own community.
It also, to be blunt, requires a minimal amount of work and money to implement. The fact that the site has been around since 2020 and still hasn’t implemented an RG page shows a horrendous lack of respect for the players, and BetRivers.NET needs to remedy this oversight immediately.
24/7 customer support at BetRivers.NET
There are two customer support options at BetRivers.NET. These are 24/7 customer support through emails or an on-site FAQ.
The FAQ can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Help Center’ button at the top of the screen. It’s split into nine different topics: most asked, cashier, registration/login, promotions, gameplay, technical, privacy policy, and email player support.

Support rating
- Detailed answers
- In-depth FAQ
- No phone or live chat
- Long email waiting times
BetRivers.NET only offers email support or an FAQ, which unfortunately is the standard among social sportsbooks. Thrillzz, Sportzino, and Fliff all only offer those options as well.
Where BetRivers falls behind its competitors though, is in the quality of these options. The FAQ is vague in several areas, such as with promotion terms. It also lacks FAQs that are specific to the sportsbook section of the site, such as questions on how cashout works.
Email support is a far better option for getting answers, but you’ll have to get ready to wait a while for an answer. A two-hour waiting period is fine for a simple query on how the site works, but if I have a payment problem I’d like an option that gets me through to customer support ASAP.
The usability of BetRivers.NET
BetRivers.NET uses the classic blue-on-white color scheme that its established real-money counterpart uses. It’s clear and easy to navigate, with large buttons and filters for both sports and leagues. The search bar is also advanced, letting you search for sports, leagues, teams, and even players.
BetRivers.NET does not have a mobile app, though the site is available on all mobile browsers, and has all of the same features and functionality.

BetRivers.NET also has a social casino and a bingo product as part of the site. Entering BetRivers.NET will first take you to the casino section, so you’ll need to click on the ‘Sports Zone’ button in the top bar to get to the social sportsbook.
Platform rating
- Established layout
- 2s loading times
- No mobile app
BetRivers had already nailed the look back in 2019, with its instantly recognizable blue-on-white color scheme and bright, easy-to-navigate layout. Almost nothing has been changed for the new social sports betting site. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I’m not just saying this to joke around mind you. BetRivers’ real-money sportsbook has been around since 2019 and is still growing, with Rush Street announcing a 24% increase in monthly users in 2024.
This means people know that site, and more importantly, they know how to navigate it. By copying it, bettors are given something they’re familiar with and can immediately and comfortably scroll through.
I am a bit more critical of BetRivers.NET not having a mobile app. Social betting apps are all the rage, with Thrillzz, Fliff, Betr, and Rebet all promoting fast and lag-free apps. BetRivers.NET is falling behind its competitors in this regard.
