In November 2024, Caesars Entertainment launched Horseshoe Online Casino in Ontario. I was curious to see how the longstanding Caesars brand would carry its bricks-and-mortar legacy into Ontario’s digital space.
This Horseshoe Online Casino review reflects my hands-on experience, taking an honest look at what the platform does well and where there’s room to grow.

Expert verdict
Horseshoe Online Casino has entered the Ontario online casino scene with a strong start and the backing of an almost century-old brand. This isn’t Caesars Entertainment’s first foray into online gambling, as it also operates casinos across the border in the US.
The company’s industry experience comes through especially in its impressive catalogue of 2,000+ games and 35+ software providers. The 120+ tables in the live dealer lobby include an intriguing selection of niche games. There are also bespoke games by an exclusive in-house software studio.
But not everything is stellar. The casino only offers six payment methods. Options are limited compared to what Horsehoe offers in the US.
Other things I’d like improved are more transparent RTP info and a payments FAQ where I don’t have to pick through US-specific paragraphs to find Ontario payment information.
Though, these shortcomings are somewhat offset by the incredibly low minimum withdrawal of C$1. No need to wait for multiple wins to collect your cash.
So if you’re a player whose primary ask is a varied and extensive games library and being able to withdraw as frequently as you like, Horseshoe Online Casino (Ontario) is one to have in your sights.
Games selection: impressive and varied
Horseshoe Online Casino offers over 2,000 games, from classic table games and progressive jackpots to more niche offerings like Andar Bahar. Slots have the biggest representation, with over 1,000 slots, including fan favourites like Big Bass Bonanza and Gates of Olympus. Of these, 105 are jackpot slots and 70 are of the ever-popular Megaways variety.

Evolution powers the live dealer suite, which has 125+ games. Making up the biggest part of these are 45+ blackjack tables. At least 10 or so of these are helmed by a Spanish-speaking dealer, which might reflect Horseshoe Online Casino’s strong presence in the US. You’ll also find all the major live table games: Baccarat, roulette, three poker and two Sic Bo games.

I was impressed with the 2,000+ games selection at Horseshoe Online Casino. Especially since it’s been around for less than a year as of the time of writing, it’s off to a fantastic start. Tooniebet remains the arguable market leader with 4,400+ games, but Horseshoe’s offering places it in the higher tiers of Ontario casinos when it comes to numbers.
At over 120 live games, this is well above the 70-80 or so that most Ontario casinos offer. There’s something for both classic table game enthusiasts and players looking for more unusual titles in the live dealer lobby. There’s no shortage of blackjack tables, though I would have liked to see a bit more representation in roulette games, which only number 17, or live poker, with only three tables.
But Horseshoe really excels in offering 30+ specialty games like Stock Market Live and Monopoly Live. I was particularly excited to find Gonzo’s Treasure Map, a live spinoff of the slots classic, Gonzo’s Quest.
Software providers: all the major names and more
Horseshoe Online Casino’s games come from 35+ providers, running the gamut from industry giants Pragmatic Play and NetEnt to lesser-known developers like Spinberry. Evolution covers all their live games.

I was happy to find titles by industry stalwarts like Playtech, Games Global, Red Tiger, and Hacksaw alongside niche and exclusive games. Already having an array of 35 software providers less than a year after launching is impressive (the Ontario average is about 20-25).
I loved being able to see the name of the provider listed on every game. It’s a great way to discover new games if I come across a title by a preferred studio that I haven’t played before. That said, the casino is missing a way to browse or filter games by provider, which is a shame when they have so many popular names. Kudos to Horseshoe also for having its own in-house games studio. At the moment it’s supplied six games alongside other exclusives by Red Tiger, Games Global and IGT. This gives the casino an edge above competitors with more run-of-the-mill selections.
The casino could distinguish itself more in how many live game providers it partners with. At the moment that’s just Evolution. That’s a great start but I’d like to see it broaden its selection to match BetMGM, which boasts live games from Evolution, Pragmatic Play, and Playtech.

Payments rating
- Low minimum deposit
- Very low minimum withdrawal
- Fast deposits and withdrawals
- Only 6 payment methods
- No crypto or e-wallet options
- Wire transfer only for >C$2,500
Here’s where Horseshoe Online Casino’s newcomer status shows: with only six payment methods for both deposits and withdrawals, I felt a bit limited. While six payment methods is fairly average, I’d like to see a greater variety of types added, particularly in the crypto and e-wallet category. Popular options like Muchbetter and Payz would add speed and flexibility. This is especially the case since one of the payment methods, wire transfers, are limited to sums above C$2,500. If choice is important to you, try Bet365 instead, which offers 10 deposit and withdrawal options.
On the topic of speed though, Horseshoe doesn’t disappoint there. My Interac deposit showed up in seconds, while my first withdrawal with PayPal took less than 24 hours once I had verified my identity.
Another major advantage is that the minimum withdrawal is only C$1. The prospect of not having to wait till I had built up a balance to get my payout definitely made it more appealing to start playing at Horseshoe.

The iGaming Ontario and Responsible Gaming logos are featured in multiple places, which is the sign of any legit Ontario casino. And with the Caesars Entertainment name behind it, I was never in doubt that Horseshoe was safe and fully regulated.
But I was surprised not to see any mention of fair gaming — knowing that an independent auditor like eCOGRA has checked Horseshoe’s games would have added extra reassurance. Likewise, I would have appreciated having RTP info for individual games. Again, being backed by such a prominent brand means that it’s unlikely that Horseshoe’s games aren’t fair, but it just seemed strange not to see official accreditation.
When it comes to responsible gambling, Horseshoe is much more transparent. I was even prompted to set gambling limits during registration, which felt like a proactive touch. There are also clear links to ConnexOntario and other support options.
Customer support: quick responses
Support channels include 24/7 live chat, email, phone, and a separate help centre. The help centre covers topics like payments, responsible gambling, and account-related information. There are multiple points of entry into live chat and the help centre from the main website. When using the live chat, you can expect to be connected within a couple minutes.

Support rating
- Live chat gave real human responses
- Quick live chat responses
- Email replies came within a day
- Help centre could be better organized
- Live chat only for registered users
- Support only available in English
I hit up live chat a couple of times, once on a Tuesday morning and again late on a Sunday, and both times the agents gave helpful human responses. My initial question about deposit limits was answered within three minutes, but a more complicated one (about ID verification) took about twenty minutes to resolve. The agents were knowledgeable and polite, even when juggling multiple chats. I also tested the email support with a query and received a response within a day, which is fast for email.
The help centre covers the most important topics, but it was a bit difficult to navigate. For example, the payments section was confusingly organized. Information about limits and payment availability for a given method was split into different paragraphs. It also mixed together US and Ontario information, so I had to scroll up and down to find what I was looking for.
Usability and user experience
At Horseshoe, you can browse games by exclusives, new games, high-limit games, popular slots and other categories. The homepage places the games front and centre with minimal text, so if you’re not sure what to play, you can scroll down and see what visually catches your eye. Progressive jackpots in particular are given prime real estate in a side column. A search bar at the top allows you to search for specific titles in its 2000+ games catalogue.

The Ontario casino also caters to players preferring to game on mobile with an app for both iOS and Android.

Usability rating
- Great mobile usability
- Min. and max. bet filters
- Large number of game categories
- No dark mode available
- No software provider filter
- Android app only has 3.5 rating
The game categories were intriguing, as I could browse by table games, live casino, and slots, but I could also venture into sports- or animal-themed games. This accommodates players who know exactly what they want to play but also those who are feeling a bit more exploratory. I did find the two-column format a bit visually hard to navigate so I was glad there were a large number of game categories to help narrow things down.
As mentioned previously, I would have liked a software provider filter so that I could, say, pull up all NetEnt games at a glance. But it was a nice touch to be able to sort by minimum and maximum bet and trending games. This made it easier to sift through 2,000+ games.
Mobile usability is excellent. I often play a few slots or a quick hand of blackjack on my phone during my commute or when lounging at home. The site is fluid, buttons are easy to tap, and transitions between screens are nearly instant. If you prefer the convenience of an app, the Horseshoe Online Casino app has a 4.4 user rating on iOS and 3.5 on Android. However, the browser version definitely suffices in terms of reliability and performance.
Account settings and cashier functions are clear, with straightforward access to transaction history, responsible gambling tools, and support.
