Expert verdict
At the end of the day, SlotsMagic provides you with a very solid online gaming platform. The interface is easy to use and the soft purple and white colour scheme serves to make this rather easy on the eyes no matter whether it’s through a mobile or desktop. Check our casino reviews to find out everything there is to know.
The online game selection is excellent too. With 900 online games, and more added all the time, you’re not short of a game or two to try out. The only downside is that there are no online exclusive games, nor are there games from some of the top providers out there such as NetEnt or Evolution.
Finally, while we did really love the fact that there’s prompt online 24/7 support, it’s a pain that you have to be logged in. The fact that you can’t ask questions before signing up is a bit of a red flag for us, so while we like the overall casino, you might want to consider more transparent sites first.
SlotsMagic games: Best assortment of slots
As you can imagine, SlotsMagic slots are the main focus of this site. There are hundreds of them here, a whole galaxy in fact, and this really rivals some of the other top sites such as PartyCasino and SpinGenie. In fact, SlotsMagic is right on their level with numerous games that are packed with bonus features like multipliers and the player-favourite Free Spins bonus round.
Though there is a strong focus on slot games, the online casino has a wealth of other casino games too. These include a great selection of table games covering everything from roulette to various different online poker games, but the collection isn’t quite as diverse as others.
If you’re wondering is SlotsMagic legit, then you can check this simply through the number of top providers on offer here on our SlotsMagic casino review. And, there’s the fact that there’s a strong live dealer casino in place. Better still, it’s powered by two providers putting it streaks ahead of sites like LeoVegas.
There are other online game categories too, though these do require a bit more searching. You can find video poker, scratch cards and more on this site. However, games like keno and bingo are noticeably absent, so you’ll need to look elsewhere for those.

As we begin this SlotsMagic review, it’s also important to point out that while 900 online games is a good number of games, it’s still struggling to reach the heights of some online operators such as BetMGM, PartyCasino and even LeoVegas. Nevertheless, this casino is offering an eclectic mix.

Games rating
- More than 2,300+ slots
- Large selection of live dealer games
- Section for scratch cards
- No bingo or lotto games
- Limited poker options
I loved the fact though that this site automatically has all the casino game categories listed as well as the providers. It made it very easy for me to check out the games I wanted to play. However, while finding slots was easy, I’d like an A-Z function to avoid endless scrolling.
That being said, I am happy with the various instant play option slot games on offer and the range of slot types that can be found here. When it comes to the other games, I was mightily impressed. And we’re talking online live dealer games here.
SlotsMagic really pulled a live casino out of that magic hat of theirs! Unlike some of the other online casinos, this site actually uses two different providers for their live dealer games, and it really shows. For starters, their online live dealer lobby is larger than most.
It’s also super diverse, which I absolutely loved. Not only was I able to find a wide selection of the standard live table games (I’m talking baccarat, blackjack and roulette), but there were more unusual offerings like Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger too.
I’m not going to be completely effusive in my SlotsMagic review though, because there are some big live dealer games missing. And that’s because no Evolution games are used. I did find some live game shows (they even have their own section), but these aren’t a patch on Evolution’s Dreamcatcher if I am being honest.
90 online software providers
Online SlotsMagic Canada has one of the largest numbers of casino software providers compared to other country versions of the same site. There are an impressive 90 different providers offered here, and you can search by provider to find the game you are looking for.
The types of providers on offer are a mix of both well-known suppliers as well as much smaller studios, like Stakelogic software. This means that there’s a lot to choose from, and you’re often going to find some more unusual SlotsMagic games on offer that aren’t found elsewhere.
The main provider here is definitely Playtech. Not only are some of SlotsMagic’s top slots from this provider, but the bulk of the live casino section is too. In fact, there are two providers for the online live casino, which means that you’ve got access to more live games than most sites.
If you’re wanting to stick with virtual table games, then there is plenty to choose from as well. Happily for you, there’s a great selection of baccarat, blackjack and roulette options for those who want to give these SlotsMagic games a go without playing them live.

Better still, the SlotsMagic app also has most of these online games available. All the providers here, from small to large studios, make sure that their games are HTML5 compatible. This means that they work smoothly on both desktops as well as mobile devices of all types.
The use of 90 different online providers, such as those listed above, does mean that there is, as mentioned, an eclectic mix of games. Better still, some providers have a focus on certain game types over others. So, you can get high RTP games with Relax Gaming or thousands of ways to win with Big Time Gaming.
Available software
Software rating
- Wide range of providers
- Great selection of live games
- Some big-name providers missing
Both the SlotsMagic mobile and desktop casino sites are excellent when it comes to accessing the same game types and I really appreciated this. This was actually better than some of the other Canadian online casinos where you can find a disconnect between the two platforms.
I was also really happy to see the size of this online casino’s live dealer section boosted by the use of more than one provider. Often, online casinos only use one provider, but that was not the case here with both Playtech and Pragmatic Play contributing games.
That being said, the absolute king of live games is Evolution, and this provider dominates the live casino section. In general, there’s little to complain about when it comes to software providers at SlotsMagic. We would like to see more variety though.
And that’s because many of the casino games found on the main site are a bit samey. They’re also from some of the smaller providers. This was particularly noticeable when it came to the jackpot games as there were often smaller prizes and there were no top progressive jackpots such as Divine Fortune or Mega Moolah on offer. Similarly, most games seem part of the same themes and genres. For the most part, at least.
In that regard, I hold Coolbet’s casino platform in higher regard. Although the number of providers is much lower, as is the number of games, there are some truly unique studios with games and features I’ve never seen before. And that’s always exciting!
Payment methods: Nine options
SlotsMagic has nine payment methods. Now, this is borderline on the good side (we like casinos with at least 10 options), so we’re not going to quibble too much here. The payment methods cover all the key bases when it comes to online payment types.
There are two different credit or debit card options, various eWallets such as ecoPayz, and a number of options for instant payments such as Interac. With these latter options, it does mean that you don’t really need to provide banking details.
That being said, there was a serious lack of any cash or voucher options or even prepaid Play+ card options. Some of the specific payment information was also a little unclear or simply outright hard to find when we searched for it.
Similarly, some of the overarching payment information was a little difficult to get hold of too. While the website claimed it was a simple click on each payment method to get the required info, the site took ages to load, if at all.

Minimums of C$10 and C$20 for online deposits and withdrawals, respectively are available for this casino. However, it’s likely to differ slightly across some payment methods as not all the options loaded when clicked on. Finding information on the fees was also more complex.
All the online payment methods can be used to make deposits, but some of them, such as Mastercard, can’t be used for withdrawals. While this is a bit annoying for some, there are plenty of payment options, so it’s not hard to find something that works.

Payments rating
- Offers Interac
- Good selection of options
- Low minimum deposits
- Unclear maximum limits
- Slightly slow withdrawals
Being able to make online payments swiftly and efficiently is a must. Better still, these payments should be accessible across all platforms, which they are here. With the number of options, this was definitely a solid area for this online casino, though I think they could be doing better.
Casinos like PartyCasino have an almost endless list of different providers encompassing all the main payment methods available. I do appreciate that 9 is already more than sites like LeoVegas, but having even more added would push this rating up a notch or two.
I would also have liked to be able to find some of the payment information a little more easily. And this is really why this section gets a somewhat lower score than you might expect given there are 9 payment options available.
Clicking on each payment method yielded little to no results, with some online payment methods loading and others not. Heading to the FAQ for more information didn’t really help either, which means I was a little in the dark regarding the nuances of some payment methods.
I did eventually figure out there were no fees, which is great. Additionally, all deposits made are done instantly which I was relieved to hear. Withdrawals aren’t the fastest, but they’re not the slowest either with a top end of 3 days — better than sites like BetMGM.
SlotsMagic safety features
When it comes to keeping you secure, then SlotsMagic is at the top of its game. It’s licensed in Ontario so that you can play on the site perfectly legally. Additionally, the online casino holds an MGA license, which is one of the top jurisdictions.
Holding an online Ontario license is an absolute must when it comes to operating within the state. Without that license, the casino would be illegal and isn’t obliged to follow the rules and regulations laid out by the province, which would mean a reduced gaming experience.
Because it is licensed, the online casino has a lot of strong responsible online gambling protocols in place. It’s even got the secure site logo at the bottom and is protected using top SSL encryption protocols to ensure your data is kept safe. A comprehensive privacy policy outlines how they use any data.

Safety rating
- Audited by iTech Labs
- Holds multiple gaming licences
- Offers addiction support
- Hard to find security info
If I am honest, I really love the fact that this online casino is fully licensed, but I am sure we all do. Through the Ontario license, the casino must follow strict safety and security protocols, so you know that you’re safe – it’s really in line with most other ON casinos.
That being said, there are some points lost here for the lack of transparency. There’s a great privacy policy section and a really excellent responsible gaming area (more on that later), but it was surprisingly hard to find any information on the SSL encryption and data online security protocols.
While the FAQ is great in some areas, it’s severely lacking here. Okay, so I could find all the required logos for the licensing, responsible gaming and auditing right at the bottom. But, there wasn’t much in the way of additional information.
However, the score was pulled up significantly by the excellent responsible online gaming section. Not only can you find everything you need here, but there’s a permanent header banner on every page with the direct phone number to Connex Ontario. And I really loved this. I haven’t seen other sites display this so prominently.
Top-quality mobile app at SlotsMagic
Almost all the casino games on SlotsMagic are actually available in the SlotsMagic casino mobile app and mobile browser site. There are mobile apps for both iOS and Android, and the site provides links to both of these when you head to the FAQ.
Better still, when we tested out both the mobile app and mobile browser site, everything did run smoothly. In fact, in places, things actually worked better on the mobile browser version than they did on the desktop, which was a pleasant surprise.
The app and mobile browser are closely modelled on the original desktop site. This means that it is easy to jump back and forth between the two options and there’s no need to learn something new all over again, which is really great.
Overall, the navigation is simple too, with clear menus throughout. It’s a tad cluttered on the smaller screen but has a reduced lag time compared to the website, which does rather balance this out when compared to some of SlotsMagic’s online competitors.
The mobile browser and app both contain almost all of the same games as the desktop version. And, you can find all the same features, functions and payment options too. It really is just a scaled-down version of the main site.

Mobile rating
- Most games offered on mobile
- Easy-to-use interface
- Compatible with Android and iOS
- Not all games available
- A little cluttered
Really, this is a great little mobile version of the site. I really enjoyed using it, especially as it tended to load significantly faster than the desktop site. It could be that my laptop was playing up, but I really don’t think so.
That being said, the main desktop site is a bit messy and this has been transferred to the smaller screen too. I am being picky here, but when it’s up against competition like DraftKings, I’ve got to be! Essentially, the app is rather cluttered reducing navigation.
Though losing some points for the poor navigation, SlotsMagic did claw some back from me when I chose to evaluate the mobile experience on the games it offers. Unlike some other online sites, SlotsMagic offers a hefty 650 out of 900 online games.
And, a genuinely large portion of these are actually the live games. Many other casinos sacrifice their live dealer options in favour of more slots. But not SlotsMagic and that’s a fact I really liked hence pushing that mobile rating up a bit.
The fact that there was a native iOS and Android app for SlotsMagic is actually the bare minimum I would expect these days. Though, some casinos still aren’t offering them. Because of this, SlotsMagic doesn’t really score any bonus points as I think this is a base-level requirement.
Customer support at SlotsMagic
There is not a wide range of online support options at SlotsMagic, but live chat and email are more than enough for most players. At the moment, there is no phone contact number.
The live chat is available 24/7 though, which does beat out some of the other Canadian casinos where there are limited operating hours in place. However, if you’re not registered then you won’t be able to access live chat or find out what the email is, which is a bummer for any player who wants their concerns addressed before signing up.
If you need to get more information and don’t want to start by getting in touch with the customer support team, there is an FAQ section. This is pretty comprehensive across certain topics, and answers the questions well, though some answers could be longer.
There are also some questions missing that you would expect to see here. For instance, there wasn’t anything on security or the online safety protocols in place. Some of the top casinos have absolutely everything covered and a bar to search for top questions.

The online live chat feature is also excellent. It is manned by staff around the clock. And, these staff tend to have a one-minute turnaround, so you’re never waiting very long when you need help. This is inline with other sites such as PartyCasino and BetMGM.
Support rating
- Round-the-clock support
- Fast live chat response time
- Support access after sign-up
So, how to begin? Well, first I want to say that the support really is great. When I tried out the live chat (it really is open 24/7), I was delighted to find that my query was addressed within minutes. Yes, less than a minute after typing a message, I was chatting.
But then, why the low support score? Well, in order to get access to the live chat you need to be signed in to your account. That’s right – you need to be signed in! Now this might be a pet peeve of mine, but I like to be able to get in touch and get some questions out the way before signing up.
Because of this, I did have to drop the support score quite significantly. Similarly to the live chat, the available support email is difficult to find and is locked behind login. So, if you’re just browsing around and want some additional info because the FAQ is unhelpful, well, you just can’t get it.
I don’t really like this as it doesn’t address the needs and concerns of newer players. I get that it’s catering to regular online players, and this is possibly why the support is so fast, but I wish it was more newbie-friendly.
Usability of SlotsMagic
Despite being a little slow to load, the SlotsMagic site is actually easy to navigate around. It’s also a very quick process to get signed up with the casino, as we tested for ourselves. Moving through the site is also easy, there are clear menus leading to the places you’d expect.

Finding specific games was also very straightforward. And that’s partly because of the easy search function on offer as well as the ability to whittle down games by provider. There are clear online casino game categories to search in as well.
Usability rating
- Easy search bar
- Provider filters available
- Sign-up is straightforward
- More filters would be better
I gave this a high score simply because it really is that easy to get about. Signing up was a walk in the park and took no longer than it does at any other online casino. It also incorporated some good security questions, which is always a plus.
Getting around the rest of the site is easy too. Despite being a little cluttered, it’s actually very straightforward. You just need to head to the games section, and you are instantly greeted with a variety of different online categories and dropdown menus. There are minimal clicks until you’re where you want to be.
However, I would like to see more when it comes to finding a very specific game. Yes, there is a search bar function and this means you can simply type in the name of the game you are looking for. But, more filter options would be great.
That top score wasn’t awarded because of this really. I do want the ability to save favourite games, to see which are the top games, and even have the option to search via game theme or in-game bonus, which other sites like BetMGM allow. Overall, I’d compare SlotsMagic’s usability to that of ComeOn casino’s; it has its ups and downs but is generally adequate.
FAQs
Is SlotsMagic legal in Ontario?
Absolutely! Though a little later to join the Ontario party when compared to the likes of BetMGM and PartyCasino, SlotsMagic has made it here at last. In order to be legal in the province, the casino has applied for, and holds, an iGaming Ontario license. Without this online license, the casino would not be legal and would be unable to operate within the province. This makes the casino very safe to play at, especially as there are other online security protocols in place too.
What games can I play on SlotsMagic?
Excitingly, there are some 900 different games on offer at SlotsMagic. Better still, despite the name, they’re not all slots. Instead, you can find a wealth of different online casino games covering all of the main game genres out there. So, you can enjoy various virtual table games, a well-stocked live casino, various video poker games and even scratch cards. There are no online bingo or keno sections as yet, nor are there too many different online jackpot games.
Are there good withdrawal options at SlotsMagic?
Yes, there are. SlotsMagic is actually home to nine different online payment methods for Canadians, which is definitely better than a number of other Canadian casinos out there. The SlotsMagic casino has a range of options for both withdrawals and deposits and offers fast turnaround times — up to just three days for online withdrawals. You can make payments using cards, various eWallets and even prepaid options which means it is very easy for you to find a method that suits you.
When did SlotsMagic casino launch in Ontario?
SlotsMagic casino is one of the more recent online casinos to arrive in Ontario. In fact, the casino only made its way to the province in June 2022. However, the online casino has been around for a lot longer than that. It was actually founded back in 2014 (under a different name), and has been going strong on the global scene ever since. It’s likely that this casino will continue to expand to new countries too.
Can I play on my mobile with SlotsMagic?
Yes, you can! The first option is to simply open the online casino page in your mobile browser. Doing so gets you the same gaming experience as you get via a desktop. However, it’s also possible to download an app for both iOS and Android. The casino gives you the direct links from it’s own site to the respective app stores too! This means that you’re sent directly to the right app which is actually super helpful.
