Amazon Slots Ontario review: gaming meets simplicity

Amazon Slots is definitely all about slots first, everything else second.

I found player-favourites like Book of Dead, Sweet Bonanza, 9 Masks of Fire, Wild Wild Riches, and Slingo hits. Fromt he table games, stand-out mentions are Sic Bo, Quantum Roulette, and Dragon Tiger.

I’d like to see a broader variety of games available (more poker, keno, bingo, craps), and improved filter/categorization to accommodate other game types. The option to search for games based on software providers would also be a huge plus.

The biggest gripe is UX here. I address usability further in this review, but in relation to the games offer there’s room for improvement.

Specifically, all first-person and live table games categorized as ‘Table Games’. Game shows are in there too. I wasn’t able to verify each title, and would have appreciated a cleaner segmentation of live games.

In terms of sheer quantity, Amazon Slots is trailing behind market leaders like, PlayOJO and Casumo casino.

For a casino of its size, Amazon Slots is doing quite well in terms of software, with big names like Red Tiger, Playson, Yggdrasil, and other all integrated.

Despite the casino not having the most expansive range of software providers, it ticks pretty much all the important boxes for players wanting to enjoy quality games at an slow pace.

The casino has done a decent job in maintaining their quality-over-quantity motto, though this may mean players miss out on other popular providers with outstanding game titles.

I would have liked to see some of the smaller studios with innovative games, like Hacksaw’s Cubes or Spribe’s Aviator, but all in all Amazon Slots delivers a solid selection guaranteed to have at least some of your favourites.

Accepted casino payment methods are limited at Amazon Slots, but the five on offer are known for safety and reliability.

Overall, the payment integration at Amazon Slots is dependable. Nothing extra, but has the backbone of everything you need.

I prefer managing my bankroll through e-wallets, so for me the biggest downside is their absence and the respective trade-off: slower withdrawal times.

The first surprise was the complete absence of any access to support as an non-registered user.

I don’t appreciate having to register “blindly”, without being able to assess whether a casino ticks all the boxes for me, and can’t confidently recommend you do the same.

Anyway, I crack on and sign up. The next surprise was the restriction on support hours.

If you’re familiar with Fever Slots or Kong Casino, you know exactly what I mean. The differentiating factor is the Amazonian theme; everything else is off the same vine and is simple in design.

The platform is responsive, and I had no issues playing on my iOS phone, tablet, and Windows PC.

The biggest positive is exceptionally fast loading times. Granted, Amazon Slots doesn’t have the biggest product offer on the market, but I see smaller casinos with poorer performance far more often than not. Any section will load in a blink — well done there.

Navigational elements, though, were lacking. The ‘All Games’ would heavily benefit from improved categorization, sorting, and a revamp of the UI. The search is also pretty basic; additional filters and a few extra links in the footer would go a long way.
