The casino’s weakest point though is definitely its customer support. I had a difficult time getting informative answers from their live chat and email. Having demo play would also improve player experience, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

I was pleased with the large number of games on offer. At 1,000+ titles, there’s enough to keep players busy. That said, it’s not enough to place Zodiac Casino up in the ranks with the likes of BetMGM, which has over 2,000 games. 

Slots are the strength here, with at least 550 of those making up Zodiac Casino’s array of games. There are 28 Megaways™ slots, but they weren’t easy or obvious to find. This is where more refined filters would have been helpful, as players can only filter by three- or five-reel, 1-20 and 25+ line slots, as well as Pragmatic Play slots.

Notably absent is a demo mode allowing players to try out games without risking their money. Demo play is so common these days that it’s all the more surprising when a casino doesn’t have it. 

I liked that I could choose from 64 live games to join, but was disappointed that only one of them was a poker table. Definitely some room for improvement there.

But there’s no getting around it: having only eight software providers in its library is a downside, which is why Zodiac Casino scores low on this front. Compare this with Lucky Days, which offers games from over 30 providers, and you can see how it might quickly get a bit monotonous when browsing through games.

On the plus side, I loved that there were 21 exclusive titles in Zodiac Casino’s catalogue. A filter for early releases of new games also gives players another reason to return.

Zodiac Casino payment methods

With nine deposit methods and seven withdrawal methods, there’s a variety of payment options. Credit card, Interac, and e-wallets like MuchBetter and Payz are available for deposits, while withdrawal methods include Interac e-Transfer, eCheck, and even Bitcoin.

Withdrawals generally take somewhere between 2-3 days depending on the method. Bank transfers can take up to 6-10 days. It’s free to cash out, unless you’re withdrawing by debit. That will cost you C$50 for sums under C$3,000 and C$100 over C$3,000.

Note that the withdrawal limit for debit is also higher at C$300. And if you win big, there’s a withdrawal limit of C$4,000 per week if there’s a big difference between what you win and what you’ve deposited.

Being able to start playing with just a loonie definitely has major appeal. The C$10 minimum deposit that players have to make after that is fairly typical for Ontario online casinos.

In terms of payments, it wasn’t very clearly laid out in the casino’s FAQs which methods were available for deposits and withdrawals. This is surprising because at nine deposit and seven withdrawal methods, the options are plentiful. 888 casino, Betano, and Casumo all only offer seven deposit options, by comparison.

If you don’t like waiting, try Casino Days instead, where withdrawal times range from instant to one day on average. To Zodiac Casino’s credit though, they are transparent about withdrawal times in their policies.

However, their withdrawal fees and limits leave something to be desired. Considering that most other online casinos in Ontario don’t charge at all, I did raise my eyebrows at the hefty fees and minimum withdrawal if you’re using debit.

Likewise, I wasn’t impressed by the conflicting information around withdrawal limits: customer support told me there were no limits, but in the terms and conditions, this was capped at C$4,000 weekly unless you’re a high roller.

The support channels are all clearly accessible from the page footer and the live chat is available 24/7, which is definitely a plus if players need to get a quick answer.

Unfortunately, I was highly dissatisfied about my experience with customer support. I contacted them by live chat a couple times to get answers that weren’t covered in their FAQs. Before I was able to speak with a live agent, I had to go through a bot. More than once the chat was disconnected before I could even type anything. Once I was finally able to speak with an agent, they were usually more interested in telling me about promos than addressing my questions. 

It was also frustrating that before I could get answers to anything, I had to answer a lot of questions to verify my account. While I understand the importance of identity verification, it felt unnecessary as my queries were related to general rather than account-specific information.

Some of my questions couldn’t be answered by chat agents and they redirected me to an email instead. Here I didn’t get much help either. Several of my emails were never answered and the one reply I did get told me to contact yet another email.

So players are better off looking through the FAQs. These cover most basic information, though the information on payments could be better organized.

It’s fairly easy to navigate this casino as the website is quite simple. But this is also part of what could be improved about the navigation. I would have liked to see more filters, for example to search by software provider. This is offered by other casinos like KnightSlots, where I can more easily find games by my favourite provider.

While popular categories like slots, live casino, and table games are easily accessed in the top menu, other categories are less intuitive. It’s not clear what games are categorized under “Variety” until you click into it to find a mix of bingo and more unconventional slots games.

The “Rooms” tab was similarly opaque but was actually quite helpful once I realized that it showcased different collections of early-release, popular, and themed games. 

Within the different top menu categories, games are listed a bit haphazardly. I found it difficult to choose between all the different blackjack and roulette titles under table games because they were mixed together in an endless scroll. Separating them out under sub-categories would have made it easier to navigate.
