Editor's note
This review is based on the operator’s current offer in Ontario, Canada. Data and analysis below are accurate at the time of publishing, but may be subject to change as the operator’s offer expands.
Expert verdict
Though this FanDuel casino online does have a rather small game library, FanDuel still manages to get a good score from us. And that’s simply because we feel that it really does care about the players on the gambling site. There are good withdrawal banking methods and good wins to be had.
There are only 300 online games here, but there is variety. And, the live casino has more table games than some of the larger casinos have, so no issues there. You can also play daily fantasy sports. Additionally, this live casino is actually open 24/7 which is very important for customer retention.
There are some of the top payment banking methods available but, like the games, this is a small selection. We’d like to see a few more options provided as the FanDuel casino online will really benefit from this. If you’re playing via mobile, you’ve got a great interface available enabling easy jumping back and forth between the two platforms.
FanDuel online casino games: Your options
At the time of writing, both the desktop and FanDuel app have 300 online casino games. This is actually below the average found at Ontario casinos where there are usually at least 500 games or more on offer, so there’s a bit of catching up to do.
Online slots make up the largest portion of the game collection with 205 titles to the live casino’s 40. There are 44 online table games on offer too and 15 of these are online blackjack with 12 online roulette games. The rest are various baccarat and dice games.
If you’re wondering “is FanDuel in Canada going to add more games?”, then the most likely answer is an emphatic yes. There are already more online games being added, and you can find these in the “New” category within the game section. If FanDuel’s sports betting hub is a benchmark we can rely on, then you can rest assured that the FanDuel online casino will pick up pace and catch up in no time.
For more online game options, there are six different online jackpot games, which is decent, but really not on the same level as the likes of BetMGM or PartyCasino. There is a distinct lack of soft games too as there’s no keno, bingo or scratch card options to speak of.

Most of the Ontario online casinos don’t offer any bespoke or exclusive online games, and that’s really the same here. This casino doesn’t offer any exclusive games at all, but relies on games from already exciting suppliers. Game types available
Games rating
- Strong live dealer casino
- Selection of online video poker
- 300+ slot games on offer
- Not much variation
- Small game library
Though FanDuel casino play has such a great reputation elsewhere, I can’t lie here. And therefore I am honour bound to say that the size of the game collection really does matter. Even if the game collection is diverse.
So, what does this mean for a FanDuel casino? Well, even with a small online game collection, they do have diversity. There are many online slots, and these contain a wide range of different slot game types. However, usually, we’re looking for casinos with 500 online games and up, with market leaders like PlayOJO and SlotsMagic topping over 2,500 games each.
Where things do improve, and one of the reasons I did push that game score up a bit, is the live dealer casino. Here you can find 40 online games, which is actually more than many of the bigger, more established online casinos. Colour me impressed!
The live dealer section is dominated by blackjack games, but at this point, I am really not docking any points for that. This is because a lot of the games have high stakes options in place, which really puts that smile on my face.
Despite having a small number of online games, the site isn’t just offering games from small providers. There are some big names here, and some of their top games are present — here’s looking at you, Gonzo’s Quest and Starburst! So, while small, this online collection packs a punch.
A very small downside is that it’s not possible to play any of these FanDuel casino slots in demo mode. This does mean that you will have to launch right in and hope for the best. Or, you can simply pop over to a site with online demo versions and then come back.
So, as I conclude this part of my FanDuel casino review, I will just say that the online casino really does need to work on its size. The quality and types of FanDuel casino games on offer are great, I (and probably you!), just want more of them.
Software: Seven big-name providers
As we touched upon, FanDuel casino actually uses some of the bigger online casino game software providers out there. Out of the 7 different online casino game providers on the Ontario online site, 3 of them are some of the biggest names in the industry.
Okay, so the number of online game providers is a little bit lower than we usually like, but these providers are some of the best around, like iSoftBet and Microgaming. And the smaller providers present have some of the more innovative game mechanics and are the next big thing.
Already though, this is a big move forward for the FanDuel casino brand. And that’s because in its original release, the casino only used games from NetEnt. Now, with 6 more providers, things are moving forwards and doing so relatively swiftly, which is nice.
While online NetEnt games are still the standouts for the most part here, we were impressed to see that the online casino is now utilizing the power of Evolution. This is a massive step and allows FanDuel to compete at the next level with other casinos in the province.

There’s not much left to say about the FanDuel casino software other than it’s likely to increase. If we know anything, this online casino platform is just getting started. So, we think it’s a good idea to stay tuned to see what else gets added.
There are three of the oldest online game providers in their respective niches right here at FanDuel. And, there are some of the most up-and-coming providers included here too. For example, Big Time Gaming is here offering up some of their hugely influential Megaways games.
Available software
Software rating
- Collection of top NetEnt games
- Smaller studios are present
- Uses Evolution for live games
- Lack of top game providers
The FanDuel casino online collection may be small, but I’m not holding that against FanDuel. In fact, the online casino predominantly uses software from NetEnt, Microgaming, IGT and Evolution. And I really don’t think that’s a bad thing at all! In fact, these are some of the top online providers out there.
So, given the size, I’m impressed with FanDuel casino. But, while it is expensive to host top online providers only, I would expect to see a few more providers here than are actually present. For instance, there are some great games from Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Aristocrat and so on, all notable in their absence.
In this area at least, FanDuel casino does lose out a bit compared to its competition. Some sites such as LeoVegas, PartyCasino and Coolbet, manage to have all of these top providers and more. Not only do they have a great diverse selection, but 1,000s of games too.
All that being said, this casino really did start out small. There were very few online games from just one provider at the start, but new games are being added from the various different providers all the time. This does give me hope that the collection will grow rapidly.
If we break it down, there are 300 online games from just 7 providers. So that’s actually not a bad ratio with 40 games or so from each provider. While this is unlikely to stay this way, it does indicate it’s likely to grow, which is why I still score this as average.
FanDuel casino payment methods: Top-notch but few
Again, while offering a great-looking interface, FanDuel casino does fall a little short when it comes to the details. This time it’s the online payment methods. There are only four of them, which is far below average in our books. In fact, it’s not great at all.
Generally we’re looking for online casinos to offer at least 10 online payment options to get that top score. With just four options, this is in the lower percentile, so there’s a bit of work to do here if the casino wants to improve. But I’ll give FanDuel a bump in score for accepting American Express payments through PayPal.
However, the most important payment options are available, so there’s debit and credit options, a Canadian-specific option in the form of Interac, and, of course, there’s PayPal. Now, this does make FanDuel casino standout as not many sites will accept this eWallet.
When it comes to online FanDuel casino card payments, the only options are Visa and Mastercard. But these are the usual card payment methods, so it’s not really a surprise to find that these are the ones available. Other online cards such as Maestro or Amex are blocked for casino payments anyway,

Depending on which online payment method you use, withdrawals will take time. Deposits at FanDuel casinos are instant across the board, and options like PayPal and Interac give you the fastest turnaround — often less than a day. Cards, however, can take up to four to process.
There are some pretty good minimum limits at FanDuel casinos here. With just $10 as the minimum deposit, which does match most of the other sites. There don’t appear to be any limits at all when it comes to withdrawals, making this one of the easier sites to use when claiming a win.

Kicking things off, I’m going to go with the positives. One of the biggest of these is the fact that the online withdrawals are incredibly lenient. Most casinos will have strict minimums and maximums in place, not so FanDuel. So this scores some top points.
This lack of withdrawal limits means that it’s possible for all winnings to be claimed. And this is great if you’re a budget or irregular player as well as for those high rollers of you out there. On top of all this, there’s some good turnaround times too.
Yes, depending on the online payment method, you can request your winnings and receive it on the same day. This does put FanDuel casinos in the top half of withdrawal times putting it against some of the very best. I really do hate having to wait for a cashout so this is perfect.
I feel I should also point out the pluses when it comes to using FanDuel for high rollers too. In fact, FanDuel casinos are perfect for high rollers as it accepts big bets and therefore, players can really make the most of those very lenient withdrawal limits.
Rounding things out, I would like to still say that just four online payment methods is hugely disappointing. For being so good in other areas, this is a let-down. Here, other newcomer casinos like ComeOn and NorthStar Bets manage to offer more payment options, so I’m not sure why FanDuel is lagging so far behind. In the future, I’d like to see Neteller, Paysafecard or other options too.
Safety features of FanDuel casinos
Really, there’s not much an online casino can do to go above and beyond the safety and security measures we expect. And FanDuel casinos sit nicely right in the middle doing all it can to offer a solid, safe online gaming platform for all.
For starters, the casino holds an Ontario iGaming license, which means it’s actually able to operate within the province. We wouldn’t recommend playing here at all if it didn’t have a license, but it’s good to confirm that it does once again.
The FanDuel casino is also protected using SSL encryption protocols and has its games regularly checked to ensure they’re operating fairly. In short, there’s not much more this casino can do other than to maintain its adherence to the required safety regulations.

- Nothing unique
FanDuel casino, if you didn’t know, is actually part of the Paddy Power Betfair group. And this means that it really has a great reputation. I love a good brand rep as it really does give everyone a nice boost when it comes to playing safely.
That being said, I didn’t really find anything special when looking at the security and safety features of FanDuel casino. Not that it’s bad, it’s doing everything it should in line with the laws of Ontario, it’s just not going above and beyond.
However, it covers the important aspects. For instance, FanDuel casino is fully licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission in Ontario. It holds their FanDuel casino iGaming license and this can be found at the bottom of the page in the footer for those of you who, like me, want to check it.
Like I said earlier, it also does all the usual stuff too. And this includes offering up transparent terms and conditions, having those clickable seals to go to the license directly, and of course having some seriously good responsible gambling pages.
Mobile features at FanDuel casinos
FanDuel has an app for both Android and iOS users for its FanDuel casino site. For those that don’t want to download another app, or don’t have space, then the casino is also mobile browser compatible opening in this form across devices as well.
Impressively, the app and mobile browser versions are exactly the same as the desktop one. This is actually not a surprise as FanDuel casino is one of the few casinos and sportsbooks where the mobile version was actually released first before the desktop site.
As you’d expect from this, all the games are available on the mobile app and browser. So, there’s no need to worry about missing out on the fun. Not only does this mean the slot games, but it also means the live table games too.
Online casinos often leave out some of their games when it comes to the mobile app, and usually it is the live dealer games collection that suffers the most. FanDuel casino has changed all that, and it is one of the many reasons this mobile app gets a high rating.
A final point in favour of this app is the smooth load times. We’re actually being spoilt here as there are minimal glitches in place. And, the app or mobile browser, both load speedily so that you can get up and running in no time. It makes a nice change from BetMGM’s slow app.
Play on these devices
Mobile rating
- Android and iOS apps
- Strong mobile browser site
- Quick to load, no lag
- No mobile-only options
As you can see I absolutely loved this app. In fact, it’s got the highest score for this online casino and deservedly so. And this is because of the smooth loading and playability of the app. I’d give it full marks here just for that quick load time.
On top of that, you can get everything that’s on the desktop site on the mobile app. And that’s not something I get to enjoy very frequently these days. Okay, so this is a mobile-first casino, so maybe it isn’t that special. But I am rating it high regardless.
So, why doesn’t it actually get full marks? Well, if I am really going to nit-pick here (and I am), then some of the navigation on the app could actually be improved. It would be good to have filters added for the providers, so you can sort the games better — this goes for the desktop site too though.
There are also a few other ways that FanDuel can aim for that perfect 100 for its mobile app. First, it could add some features that are specific to the mobile only. It only seems fair to me, seeing as this was a mobile-first casino, so why not make it a bit special.
Finally, while the interface is optimized for the smaller screen, it doesn’t actually change that much. Lastly, I’d like to see some more information on the site too. Why do I have to download the app to see if I like what the casino has to offer? Other mobile-first operators like PointsBet, let you know exactly what you’re getting into before you click ‘Install’. Of course, these are things most of you won’t even notice, but I do, so they’re missing out on those last few points.
Customer support at FanDuel casino
As we have come to expect from a FanDuel online casino, it has a live chat function on offer as well as an email. The top-rated online sites will also have a phone line, but this is becoming less common as the years go by.
These days, the bare minimum we expect to see is 24/7 live chat, and FanDuel delivers on that front. Not only that but the live chat is manned by very helpful staff who get back to you very quickly, sometimes in less than 30 seconds.
We tested both the live chat and email a couple of times too, just to see which option was better. As mentioned, the live chat performance was incredible. The email left a lot to be desired with a 24-hour turnaround on our first query.
But the live chat was impeccable. With just a few seconds to wait in some cases, this is vastly superior to support offered by the likes of LeoVegas, BetRivers or PointsBet. Usually we’re waiting at least a few minutes, but not here.

FanDuel also offers its online support around the clock. Some casinos in the area like Caesars only offer support during specific hours. And this is a bit of a pain as it means you’re often waiting for the hours when it becomes available, stalling your game time.
Support rating
- Response time in under a minute
- Super helpful staff
- Help available when signed out
- No phone support
I was really impressed by the support offered here at FanDuel. But, I will knock off a few points because there was no phone support. Outside of this though, the live chat really is phenomenal, and that’s for both the service and speed.
The live chat has one of the fastest response times I’ve experienced. I’ve tested a lot and none have reached the seconds response that I got here. On top of that, the staff were super knowledgeable and able to answer absolutely everything I threw at them.
It’s also available 24/7, something that these days I consider a minimum requirement. Certainly, it’s the only way a casino will ever score close to the perfect score. They also sent me a transcript of the conversation too, a fact I really liked as it meant I could check through everything again.
The only reason this isn’t getting a perfect score is the aforementioned lack of a phone, and the rather slow email. This can take up to 24 hours, so I don’t recommend this route if you’re requiring desperate help. But with 24/7 live chat, why would you bother.
Usability: A navigational dream
FanDuel casino’s interface is pretty excellent. It’s very easy to jump between all the different options and to find each of the different game sections. Signing up is a walk in the park, and doesn’t offer any curveballs either. There’s also a great search function for finding games quickly.

The only real downside with the interface is the lack of filters when it comes to the games. It’s not as great as other options like PartyCasino or SlotsMagic with the different provider filters. But, it’s not hard to find the game you want anyway.
Usability rating
- Simple search
- Fast and easy sign-up
- Top games tab
- No provider filters
- No filters at all
I’ve covered most of the key points when it comes to the interface. For starters, signing up is very easy. You will need to put in your personal details and confirm your location. But none of this is stuff you haven’t seen before at other top online casinos.
Finding your way around the site is very easy. There are simple, straightforward menus and these list all the main game categories. You can also use the search function, but it does mean you need to know the name of the game, which I don’t always.
Where FanDuel casino falls down somewhat is in the lack of any filters when searching. There are absolutely none, which is really a marked difference to almost all the other online gambling casinos in Ontario. There isn’t even a provider filter. I’d like to see the bare minimum in the future.
However, the whole interface and setup work well across all devices and platforms. And this means that I didn’t have to endure any loading problems or glitchy pages. It meant that I could enjoy a smooth gaming experience and that is why this still scores very highly even with the lack of filters.
