Casumo casino Ontario: 2024 overview

Let’s get this right, off the bat, the Casumo classic casino games are impressive. There are over 1,000 games to sift through here, which I was mightily impressed by. 

Clicking into the games section doesn’t reveal much, though I was able to use the search bar to see if I could find the games I was specifically interested in. You have to create an account to get full access to the games available, which I was not impressed with. 

However, Casumo does conveniently list a number of the most popular games at the very top of the game browser section. However, this is rather frustrating as I’d rather get the whole selection of games without having to faff about or login, hence the lower rating. 

In terms of games, though, I really can’t complain. Casumo really does have everything. There is a strong progressive jackpot slots showing, though some big names, such as Mega Moolah, are notable in their absence but can be found at Spin Casino.

The slot section itself is excellent, though. In particular, I enjoyed the fact that there is a wide array of Megaways reels games as well as all the classics to give you plenty of variety. 

And, of course, let’s not forget the live section. If I am honest, this is one of the best in the province, rivalling that of other sites and even putting operators like LeoVegas casino and 888casino to shame a little. 

For, like 888Casino, Casumo does have its exclusive live games. It also offers top games from Evolution Gaming. You can find more than 100 excellent live games, as outlined in the fact-based section of our Casumo casino review above. 

With 30-plus software suppliers here, Casumo is up there with the best, rivalling LeoVegas and BetMGM. However, all these are outclassed by Playzee online casino with games from over 100 providers. 

Nevertheless, Casumo stands head and shoulders above sites like Nitro casino, which only offers Microgaming games. Overall, I was impressed, to say the least. Some of the biggest names are here, too, with Microgaming, NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, and Play’n GO just some of the best developers. 

This vast selection of different providers means that there are all sorts of game themes, designs, styles, and game variations to choose from. And this is something I love to see. 

The live section of the casino is also excellent and powered by a combination of Evolution and Pragmatic Play. As such, there are multiple versions of the same basic game, each with different betting limits. 

That said, it’s not a perfect score, as there is no way to filter the games by provider. I sorely missed this here, so Casumo has missed a trick.

Mostly, I’ve nothing bad to say about the payment methods available on the Casumo website. All the options are top providers. Compared to BetMGM casino, which offers just four options, Casumo has enough different payment gateways to keep most players happy. 

Unlike sites like Zodiac Casino, finding information about payment methods was also easy. For one, Casumo even had a scrolling bar on the main page extolling the speediness of Interac payments on their site. 

There isn’t much info on the individual payments, though — I would have liked to be provided with some upper or maximum limits, especially regarding withdrawals. But I am not really complaining here as the Casumo services are generally top-notch. 

It’s unlikely that the maximum limits are really going to matter, though. And this is because there are, emphatically, no fees in place for Casumo. 

If you want to deposit money, then there’s a very low limit, which I also really appreciate. In short, it’s more that there needs to be additional information; otherwise, I am very happy.

In terms of player safety, this casino site really does match most of those around Ontario already, including long-established sites like BetVictor casino and Bet365. It ably meets the fundamental requirements and attempts to go beyond them. 

As such, I really don’t have any issues here. I really liked the fact that none of the security and safety features are hidden. In fact, the casino goes out of its way to promote everything. 

I could find all I needed to know about Casumo services by scrolling down to the bottom of each page. The footer is jam-packed with all the different links you need. 

I was a bit disappointed that there’s no specific third-party auditor listed, unlike JackpotCity, which clearly advertises its use of eCOGRA. Nevertheless, gaming fairness features heavily in the terms and conditions, and there is a major emphasis on gambling safety. Both are features I love.

No matter your preferred device, you can use it to access online slots, the live section of the casino, table games and the Reel Races at Casumo. That’s right, everything is completely accessible, which is on par with casino sites like Bwin, which also has native apps and a mobile-optimized site. 

Okay, so despite the high score, there is a little bit of disappointment here. I found that not quite all the games are on offer on the app. However, most of Casumo’s live casino is. It’s just some of the online slots that are missing mainly. 

Other features, such as the Reel Races, where game weighting, betting limits and bonus rounds apply, are completely unaffected. Don’t forget that the loyalty program is still in full effect even if you’re playing on your mobile app. 

The general layout of the app is excellent though. And, it’s better than a number of other sites. Some sites, such as Golden Tiger Casino don’t even offer an app. 

As such, I actually really enjoyed my mobile Casumo experience. I’d like to see all the top games on the app in the future, but other than that, I am not really complaining! 

I have to say I was really impressed with the support offered at this online casino. Too many times I have found myself trying to locate a live chat button, not the case here! 

Unlike sites like Grand Mondial casino, the live chat operates as a sticky bubble, so it can be found at the bottom right of every page. And, you don’t have to log in to your account in order to get in touch. What a relief! 

When you type in a message, the response is swift, positive and helpful. Staff on the other end are quick to resolve any issues and get you to start playing in no time. They can fix everything from Reel Races issues to playing live casino on your phone. 

Like many other Ontario sites such as Party Casino you can also get in touch by email, though not by phone. But I didn’t really mind this. The site provides tons of additional info throughout its pages too, and there’s an FAQ for the more technical stuff. 

If I put one thing out there, Casumo is supremely easy to get around. I love the design, and it’s simple, bright, and bubbly, but not too in your face. And all the menus and links go where they should and where you expect them to. This is much better than Yukon Gold, where sections like the FAQs disappear once you leave the homepage. 

Getting an account is also very easy. You click on that blue sign-up button and fill out your information. The site asks the same questions as all other Ontario casinos, so no surprises to be had here. 

In terms of usability, I was pleasantly surprised to find that both the desktop and mobile versions of the site load well. There was no slow loading or glitches while I was playing. 

My only gripe is that unlike sites like Party Casino, BetMGM and LeoVegas, there is a lack of game filters and the ability to see all the games. This wasn’t just an issue in the slots section but the Casumo live casino too. That said, it’s not really affecting the score for this part of our Casumo review!
