Bet99 review for Ontario: 2024 ratings

Bet99 sport certainly has an extensive range of options for fans. Having 30+ sports in their portfolio puts them ahead of many other sportsbooks in the Ontario market.

In terms of the sports, markets and popular bets on offer, Bet99 even comes out on top over the Canadian-owned NorthStar Bets sportsbook. NorthStar has just 28 sports in its portfolio, although its market choices are broadly the same as those at Bet99.

I was pleased to see Bet99 also offering markets for a number of niche sports. Being able to place wagers on (for example) a bandy and floorball puts it on par with the likes of bet365.

However, I was slightly underwhelmed by the depth of market choice within each event. Having 50+ markets for major events is ok, but you’ll find more extensive options elsewhere, like Bet365’s 100+ football markets.

Nevertheless, overall, this is a very strong area for Bet99. Yes, I would have liked to have seen a few more markets as some of my favourite bets were missing, but the choice available will satisfy most fans.

Additional market details: Ice hockey games typically have around 40 markets attached to them. Many of these relate to specific period bets. For instance, bet on the total goals and points spread for each period and the entire fixture. Popular options include betting on the highest-scoring period and the first goalscorer.

Additional market details: Major American football games (for instance, NFL or CFL fixtures) have around 60 markets attached. This includes many player props, over/under options, and standard markets like spreads and moneylines.

This is another really impressive area for the Bet99 sports betting site. All the betting features I like to see on a betting site are present and correct here, thoroughly justifying its excellent score in this section.

I was especially impressed with the live streaming options available. Being able to live stream NFL games is a fantastic feature and really enhances the whole betting experience. Not even industry leaders like BetMGM can offer that.

Similarly, bet builders are a great tool for improving your sports betting. They are very easy to build and often give you some excellent odds.

The cashout options are the same as those at other leading sportsbooks, such as Unibet. Again, they are easy to implement and design.

So why is the score not even higher in this category? I guess I would have liked to have seen a bit more innovation and a couple of unique features. But overall, I was more than satisfied with the betting features here.

Additional features: The same game parlays at Bet99 vary depending on the event. For hockey games, you can combine totals and spreads for specified periods. For American football games, you can build bets that include player props, spreads and/or totals. Your selections are added to your betting slip, and your total odds for that bet are displayed.

In a word — fantastic! The odds at Bet99 are some of the very best you will find. This is the place to go if you want to maximize your potential winnings (and let’s face it, who isn’t!).

This is especially evident when it comes to soccer betting. Seeing payout percentages of over 97% regularly is virtually unheard of, so I was blown away by what Bet99 was offering. Their odds were superior to other leading sportsbooks, such as LeoVegas sportsbook, with an average percentage payout of 95% in most sports betting markets.

That’s not to say that the odds are poor for other sports. Indeed, I found over 95% payouts in virtually every sport I looked at. Naturally, this dipped when it came to live betting, but that is the case at almost every betting site in Ontario. Even the likes of 888sport have lower payouts for live betting markets.

It is also worth remembering that the regular odds boosts at Bet99 are a great way to improve the odds. I highly recommend opting for its marketing to receive the latest odds boosts.

I can’t find any fault with the odds at Bet99. Of course, it doesn’t have the best odds in every market (who does!), but overall this is just about as good as it gets when it comes to sports betting odds.

This is a largely satisfactory section for Bet99. Ok, it’s not especially impressive regarding the number of options and withdrawal times, but there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the offering.

Pinnacle currently has just five deposit methods on its site, giving Bet99 the edge in that regard. This is due to the presence of Interac e transfers, something not available at Pinnacle.

In contrast, Betway offers 13 payment gateways, far superior to Bet99’s. One of the additional methods at Betway is PayPal, something that will appeal to many players in Ontario.

The withdrawal times were slightly concerning, and the operator lost a few marks. I would have liked to have seen the waiting time reduced by a couple of days. Waiting up to five working days is less than ideal, but not a major problem.

So, while nothing is outstanding regarding the payment methods available, it’s a solid effort overall. You should have no problems finding a suitable way to deposit and withdraw your money from this betting site.

Having looked at the safety and security of Bet99, I am fully confident that they provide a safe and secure platform. And I am also confident they are serious about responsible gambling.

BQC Consulting is a highly respected company with a very good reputation, so the fact that Bet99 comes under its umbrella is very reassuring. The number of licenses held by the company further enhances that view. Like DraftKings sportsbook, which also holds multiple licenses, it’s entirely legal in Canada to play.

Regarding its safer gambling provision, for my Bet99 review, I got a strong impression that this site is very serious about the online safety of its players. The range of tools available was comprehensive and similar to many other leading sportsbooks, including Caesars.

I could not find any areas of concern in the safety features provided by Bet99. I was 100% confident that this operator could be trusted with my financial and personal details.

This is not the most ‘glamorous’ section of our Bet99 Canada review, but it is very important. Therefore, I was delighted to see the site achieve another excellent performance.

I always like to see a sportsbook offering round-the-clock support, so I was delighted to discover Bet99 has a 24/7 live chat service. Not only that but the virtual assistant that you initially encounter can provide comprehensive answers to many questions.

Should you require an actual person to talk to, the live chat operators at Bet99 are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Whatever your issue, you should be able to find a suitable resolution.

I also saw a dedicated help section on the Bet99 website. While this is not as comprehensive as the FAQs at betting sites like FanDuel, it provides detailed answers to common questions.

Some people may be disappointed that there is no customer support via telephone. But while it puts Bet99 at a lower rating than PointsBet, I have not judged them too harshly. After all, phone support is less popular than other contact options.

In summary, I think you will be more than satisfied with the customer support at Bet99. Overall, support is fast and high quality, and you have a number of options available to you, including social media via Twitter.

Bet99 has a very easy-to-navigate and user-friendly website. It’s not as visually impressive as some sportsbooks, such as The ScoreBet, but it does do the basics very well.

The same can be said of the Bet99 mobile app. It’s by no means the best mobile app on the market (that is probably PokerStars Sports). Still, it provides a straightforward sportsbook experience for Canadian bettors and gains points over sites with only a mobile website and no app.

It was nice to see that the live streaming option for different events was available on desktop and mobile sites. Not only that, but the quality of the streams was excellent on both.

The loading times were good but not great. I found that a couple of pages took a few seconds to load. Not ideal, but it is a huge problem unless you are live betting and need to act instantly.

So while this is by no means the strongest area for Bet99, it is yet another very good section for the brand. The no-frills approach may not be to everyone’s taste, but I think it makes the Bet99 com website and app extremely user-friendly.
