Best SG Digital casinos in the US
Being the biggest doesn’t always mean being the best, but SG Digital (Light & Wonder) certainly competes for both titles. You may know them as Scientific Games, or even as SG Interactive, but as the company approaches its 100th birthday, it’s flying the Digital flag.
Today we’ll dive into everything the company has to offer, from the best SG Digital casinos and how we rate them, to the best games, any unique SG twists, and the company history.
The history part’s important ‘cause they’ve bought up tons of big studios including NYX, Bally, and SHFL — you might’ve been playing SG Digital slots without knowing!
Let’s kick off with our SG Digital casinos list.

Disclaimer
SG Digital has recently rebranded to Light & Wonder. All the info on this page is still correct, the company’s just using a new name.
We’ve organized this SG Digital casinos list according to who provides the best experience specifically for SG Digital games. That means it may look a bit different from our best online casinos list , and that’s okay.
Most of these casinos won’t be labelling their games as SG Digital games, they’ll usually have them under the names of Scientific Games’s subsidiaries. The main ones you’ll find in the US are NYX (aka NextGen), WMS (aka Williams Interactive), Bally, Barcrest, Lightning Box Games, and SHFL (aka Shuffle Master).
Precious few casinos stock all of them, but the ones that do are at the top of the list. Overall rating is a part of our listing process too — we’re never going to recommend bad casinos to our readers. Every casino we recommend is legal and licensed by a government-approved board in every single state where they operate.
Things tend to line up rather nicely. SG Digital is so big, that the casinos which have the best overall offerings usually have the best SG Digital offerings too! You’re in safe hands.
How we rate SG Digital casinos
We rate casinos on a whole host of different categories, but some are more important than others when you’re rating for a software offering, as in the case of our list of SG Digital casinos.
Software
It’s not just the presence of SG Digital we rate for, but we look at what it’s surrounded by. There’s a good reason for that. If Scientific Games is in the games lobby, smoking cigars with some other big boys like Playtech, NetEnt and IGT, it’s a clear sign that the casino is constantly investing in the very best games for its players. Our rating system is based on US market averages, and with that in mind, top scores go to places with 20+ online casino software providers total, and at least 8 top studio names.
Games
As you can imagine, the first thing we’d look at is how many games by SG they’ve got. Do they have all the different studios? If not, which ones have they got? WMS and NYX get priority here, though SHFL are a great shout when we’re looking at the table games. Looking beyond the SG specific stuff at the full games offering, the best places usually have over 700 different games. Demos are another perk, no one’s gonna hate SG Interactive free slots.
Specs
Looking at the games and their numbers, what’s the casino doing here to give a player-friendly SG Digital experience? Are they picking a great variety of the themes and mechanics offered by SG slots? Do they have solid bet limits? Are the casinos picking games with higher-than-average RTP% from the selection of games available? The best online casinos for real money are also transparent about this stuff, offering information on min/max bets, expected player return and game volatility. If they offer demos to let players actually try the stuff out, it’s even better.
Bonuses
Are there any casino promotions or bonuses that are specific to games from certain software providers? It’s a bit rarer with SG than with NetEnt, but Golden Nugget does offer up to 200 free spins on 88 Fortunes (an SG Digital slot) as part of its casino welcome bonus package! We also look at general promos that can benefit SG Digital players too. Borgata, for example, runs frequent slot races while FanDuel has a game of the week promo, which can both potentially land SG-ways.
Mobile
How mobile-friendly is the casinos’ offering? Is there anything specific that makes it a better SG Digital mobile casino? It’s rare that that’s the case, but not impossible. One rating factor is how many desktop games are available on the mobile version, and most of the best SG Digital casinos we’ve outlined can import 95%-100% of their offering onto mobile devices. If there’s anything extra, like a mobile specific interface or mobile specific bonuses which can be used on SG games, it gets a higher boost. Unfortunately, we’re yet to spot an SG specific mobile casino bonus in the US.
Overall casino offering
Finally, it’s all the other stuff that isn’t related to SG Digital but can affect player experience. We head back to our best online casino reviews and see how our top picks are ranking in areas like casino payments, Safety, Customer Support, and User Experience. It’s super useful for tiebreakers. That being said, we only recommend audited, state-approved casinos, so they’re all safe. Still, there can be big differences in the other areas, and some spots do a lot of extra work on the safety front, which is cool as hell.
SG Digital games: Beyond the casinos
Well, the games from SG Digital are probably the most important part. Who’d bother searching for a list of SG Digital casinos if they didn’t make good games?
We’ll break it all down for you here, but there’s nothing to fear. We do have some complaints about SG Digital, but it’s certainly not in the games department. They have a lot, covering both slots and the table/card bracket. Their SHFL studio is one of the US’s top names for card & tables, while WMS and NYX absolutely shine in slots.
Bally, Barcrest and Lightning Box are smaller, but there’s a few diamonds to be found among their slots selection.
SG Digital slots
SG Digital offers tons of online slots, and you can find a fair number at most of the big US casinos. It’s really only NetEnt and maybe IGT that are more widespread among the American market. Still, from these big 3, SG has by far the largest games library, which means tons of variety and cool bonus features.
SG Digital outclasses even some giants like Pragmatic Play casinos in the US market — despite large success in Europe, few have managed to penetrate the States as deeply as SG Digital.
A few of their more popular series are the Mega Drops and Stellar Jackpots, which both contain multiple progressive jackpots, as well as the Quick Hit series. These are simple 243-ways-to-win slots that can drop stacked ‘Quick Hit’ symbols, passing you back 10-1,000x your stake when they invade your reels.
There’s great variety in RTP% and volatility too, just because they have so many games. In fact, it even causes problems sometimes — SG lacks some clarity when it comes to their product details. They don’t have a complete publicly available database that lists all their games and game info, which prevents us from hitting the level of transparent detail we strive for here at Time2play.
What we can reliably tell you is that there are over 700 SG Digital games. They likely have a lot more than that, but figures start getting shady after the 700 mark. Plenty of other review sites make their best guess or make up a number, but that goes against everything we stand for. We’re not ashamed of having incomplete data here; it’s an SG Digital problem, not a Time2play problem, and they need to do better.
Still, that doesn’t affect the great quality of their individual products. Some of their slots have cutting-edge graphics, soundtracks and features, and we’ve put together our best picks for you guys. They practically all have free demo versions too, which is a plus. It’s great stuff from SG Digital, but they need to up their game on product clarity. We’ll keep an eye out for any improvements.

SG Digital’s top slots
88 Fortunes – RTP: 96% – Volatility: Medium
A 243-ways-to-win 5 reel slot with a Chinese luck theme, this red-and-gold star boasts a staggering 4 different jackpots! They’re activated by matching 3 Baby symbols in the jackpot mini-game, and you can trigger free spins with scattered Gong symbols.
Zeus II – RTP: 95.97% – Volatility: Medium
This was a popular slot in Vegas even before SG subsidiary WMS got their hands on it and brought it into the online world. Wild symbols can stretch across entire reels, and you can get your free spins started with up to 100. You’ve got tons of classic things going on here; 5 reels, 3 rows, 30 paylines, and an Ancient Greek god of lightning. See? Classic.
Raging Rhino RTP: 95.91% Volatility: High
Raging Rhino? More like Raging Rhi-yes! (Sorry). You’ve got 4,096 ways to win across 6 reels. The titular rhino is the highest-paying symbol in this African Savannah themed slot. Diamond scatter symbols can pay from 2x stake if you land 3, to 1000x stake if you land 6. You’ll also get 8-50 free spins on those same diamonds, and those free spins can re-trigger themselves.
Pillars of Asgard – RTP: 96.1% – Volatility: High
Head to the seat of the Norse Gods in yet another 4,096 ways-to-win beauty. This was NYX’s most volatile slot when it was released, and can score you a maximum of 25,000x your stake every spin. Spears, horns, and raven symbols adorn your reels, and the coveted Odin wild can give you up to 1000x your stake. Wild multipliers, and 20 free spins every time you get 3+ scatter symbols sweeten the deal. 4 more bonus features can increase your chances to win, or give you free spins.
Lightning Horseman – RTP: 95.52% – Volatility: Medium
Collect 15 lightning bolts to open up the Mega Spins feature and you can win 1 of the fixed jackpots. It’s Sleepy Hollow themed, with 5 reels and 40 paylines, and a wonderfully spooky vibe. Lightning bolt wilds will trigger re-spins and accumulate more lightning bolts. It’s possible to get 37,500x your stake across the whole bonus round.
Rise of the Mountain King – RTP: 96.31% – Volatility: Very High
A Norse themed title with King’s respins. Wilds will stack up more and more respins, up to 50,000x your stake. The two main bonus features are the aforementioned respins, and the Rise of the Multiplier. This triggers when you land 3 or more gemstone symbols and 8-10 free spins. While the free spins are active, scatters will fill a collection meter, and scatters will fill that meter while granting you free spins. As the meter fills, so does the win multiplier. You can also buy a pass straight into the bonus feature, for a price…
300 Shields Extreme – RTP: 95.3% – Volatility: High
It’s phalanx time in this sequel to the cult classic 300 shields! The graphics are better in this one though. You’re on the lookout for the shield scatter here; while hitting 2 or more will grant you wins, 3 + will trigger the Battle feature for free spins and big wins. Hitting wilds here will 2x your winnings, and collecting shields will net you more free spins and multipliers up to the coveted titular 300!
Merlin’s Millions – RTP: 95.31% — 95.63% – Volatility: High
Probably the only wizard more iconic than Gandalf, this conjurer’s ready to bring the magic to your reels! 5 reels, 50 paylines and a bunch of extra features. You can win up to 1000x your stake per spin, but if you activate the Super Bet feature, it’s 10,000x. The magic man himself appears as the game’s wild symbol. Bonus features include pick-and-click bonuses, free spins with extra wilds, and stacked wilds. The Super Bet is an extra wager that introduces multipliers of up to 10x.
Spartacus Megaways – RTP: 96.32% – Volatility: High
Spartacus: Gladiator of Rome was a popular land-based slot even before it found its way onto the internet. Now infected by the Megaways virus, this version offers up to a million ways to win. There’s no limit on the number of free spins you can win, and when you combine that with the cascading reels, the win numbers can become legion-dary! Free spins are triggered by the scatter symbols; a Roman amphitheatre.
Medusa Megaways – RTP: 96.28% – Volatility: High
The Greek monstress of legend returns in another Megaways special. It’s a 6-reeler with an unlimited win multiplier, and symbols being upgraded to scatters and wilds. 3 scattered Medusa symbols trigger the free games feature, which is loaded with extra little bonus perks.Show less
Road to Riches Gold Pots Mega Drop- RTP: 96.40% – Volatility: Medium
Road to Riches is one of the most popular SG Digital slot franchises, with about 10 different games in the series. Combining it with Scientific Games’s Mega Drop series, you’ve got a crossover for the ages. Scatter symbols are pots of gold, and scoring 3, 4, or 5 can net you pots of gold bonuses, up to 5,000x your total bet. The Mega Drop series games contain 3 progressice jackpots (minor, major, and epic), and a contribution goes to each from every wager placed. The lucky player takes everyone’s combined cut home.
Book of Relics – RTP: 96.00% – Volatility: Medium
Another Scientific Games Mega Drop, you’ll find yourself in a Pharaoh’s pyramid, a classic slot setting. You’ll have access to your progressive jackpots, and a couple more simple bonus features. Landing 3-5 wilds will grant you 10-20 free spins, and expanding symbols can help trigger more wins.
Monopoly Big Spin – RTP: 88.66% — 95.75% – Volatility: Medium
Ready for a new spin on Monopoly? This is kind of a cross between an online slot and roulette, since it’s got a big wheel-based mechanic as its main spin-to-win function. Rather than reels, symbols are spread through different sections of the wheel, and you’ll win depending on where it lands. You can bet on different colours, or utilities, free parking, or other items you’ll recognize from the Monopoly board, such as Free Parking. Like the Mega Drop series, Monopoly Big Spin contains 3 progressive jackpots, and here they drop randomly.
Dr Reactive Mega Drop- RTP: 96.11% – Volatility: Medium
The mad scientist theme is super-appropriate; get this, it’s an 8-reel slot. That’s mega unconventional. Fortunately, it’s also a Mega Drop, and there are some other bonus features around too. There are cluster pays in this game; landing 5 or more symbols in a cluster creates cascading wins, and a sequence of 5+ cascading wins gets your free spins with multipliers of up to 10x. It’s mad scientist madness from Scientific Games.
Wicked Dragon Wilds Mega Drop- RTP: 96.15% – Volatility: Medium
Medieval times abound, with a conventional 5 reels and 20 paylines. There are 3 different wilds, which can give respins, shoot fireballs to convert other symbols into wilds, and/or stick in place, triggering further respins. The dragon can randomly attack on any spin with more fireball wilds, and landing 3 dragon symbols can trigger a free spins round.Show less
Dancing Drums Explosion Mega Drop – RTP: 96.00% – Volatility: Medium
DDEMD is a recent addition to the list of SG interactive casino games. The Mega Drops feature with 3 progressive jackpots is there as usual, and the game is built on the blueprint of their wildly successful Dancing Drums. 5 reels and 3 rows start you off nicely. It’s an Any Ways Pays slot game, so as long as you land symbols on adjacent reels, it doesn’t matter where on the reel they land. You’ve got wilds and scatters, which can trigger symbol matching games to win a 4th jackpot type or adjustable free spins rounds.
Quick Hit Ultra Pays Eagle’s Peak – RTP: 96.89% – Volatility: Medium
5 reels, 243 ways to win. A combination as comforting as the stellar bald eagle and its good ol’ fashioned American hunting grounds. The American wildlife theme of this slot has us chasing salmon and eagles against a mountain landscape. Quick Hit is another SG Digital slot series, and here’s how it works: 3 Quick Hit symbols landing gets you 10x your stake, 9, gets you 1000x. As the Quick Hit name reveals, it’s quite simple as far as bonus features go.
Arthur and the Round Table – RTP: 96.17% – Volatility: High
The reels are framed in gold as you head up the castle to hang out with Merlin’s best pal. Wilds appear out of nowhere to replace symbols and complete winning combinations. It even works for scatters (but only when Merlin shows up and throws wilds on there). Three scattered swords will open up a wheel, which will spin to decide whether you’re blessed with free spins or Excalibur. Free spins have multipliers of up to 150x, and pulling excalibur out of the stone will give you a shot at collecting up to 5000x your stake.
Spartacus Super Colossal Reels – RTP: 96.76% – Volatility: High
Back to Rome, with 2 sets of reels which can combine to present 100 paylines. It’s 5 reels, 4 rows on the left, and on the right are the Super Colossal Reels, which are 12 rows high each. There’s a lot of bonus features, but the highlights include wild transfers, which act as both scatters and wilds, golden respin wilds with up to 9 wild respins, and a free spins bonus feature which can retrigger itself up to a maximum of 220 free spins. That last one’s on scatters.
Cluedo Cash Mystery – RTP: 96.50% – Volatility: Medium
You know what the real mystery is? How the heck this game works with 17 different scatter symbols. Still, landing 3 of them will give you free spins. They have different values, meaning there’s 180 different combinations that can bless you with multipliers, wilds both expanding and sticky, and expanding symbols. Did we mention the paylines are pays-both-ways? 5 reels, 20 paylines, and lots of investigating await.Show less
Mighty Black Knight – RTP: 96.00% – Volatility: Medium
Black Knight is an iconic name among the SG Digital slots, and this version takes the already-popular slot, and makes it Mighty! It’s got 5 reels, and the paylines range from 10-100 depending on your settings. A free spins feature can net you up to 40 Mighty Reels free spins, which have the Mighty wild expanding over an entire reel. A Big Bet option enables Mighty Reels to trigger more frequently.
Medusa – RTP: 95.42% – Volatility: Medium-High
The Greek Gorgon’s first appearance with Scientific Games gave us this beast of a slot which earned itself more spinoffs than there are Rocky movies. There are 4 great bonus features here; pick prizes with Pegasus, free spins with x2 payouts, Super Spins with a 5x multiplier, and 3 respins with 3x payouts on an expanded wild symbol. It’s a 5-row-3-reel-25-payline configuration.
Anchorman the Legend of Ron Burgundy – RTP: 96.00% – Volatility: Low-Medium
I’m in a glass case of emotion! The team from the 2004 hit offer plenty of bonus features, including Baxter wilds (10 wilds on 1 spin), and the Big Bonus feature gives you… a lot. Cash prizes, 3 different fixed jackpots and 4 more bonus features, including free spins and a picking game. And yes, your prayers are answered; that last one IS actually called the Sex Panther Pick feature.
Heidi’s Bier Haus – RTP: 95.52% – Volatility: Medium-High
It’s stein time at the Bier Haus! You’ll get 50 paylines across 6 reels, and lots of bonus features. The pint is the wild, substituting for most symbols. Green, Purple and Red Heidi scatter symbols show up to trigger free spins with different modifiers. Big ones: Heidi’s Wheel jackpots & persisting wilds.Show less
Starmania RTP: 97.87% – Volatility: Low-Medium
This is one of the highest-paying averages you’ll find on an SG Digital slot inside the USA. It’s got a gorgeous bejewelled space theme, and a free games feature with up to 20 free spins. While you’re in free spins mode, extra wild symbols are added to the middle reels, explaining the game’s high return. The bonus game is predictably started up by landing 3 or more scatter symbols.
Wolfpack Pays RTP: 97.76% – Volatility: Medium
243 ways to win, with lots of furry wolf friends. Consecutive wins trigger free games and respins, with extra wolf wilds which can run for a surprisingly long time — it only stops when you make 3 free spins in a row without winning anything.
Golden RTP: 97.22% – Volatility: Medium-High
Another high-RTP%, 243 ways to win slot. We cluck around the farmyard and launch with 10 free spins when the Golden Free Games feature is triggered, which can be re-triggered to 20. 5-of-a-kind winning combinations load up with a 5x win multiplier, and that’s where all the biggest returns come from.
Medusa 2 RTP: 97.07% – Volatility: Medium-High
Yet another piece of Medusa Madness, the immediate sequel to the first iteration offers a great RTP% option. Matching high-value symbols can multiply your stakes by up to 400x, and 500x for wilds. Stacked wilds and scatters increase your chances, with the latter triggering up to 15 free spins.
Serengeti Lions Stellar Jackpots RTP: 97.01% – Volatility: High
One of the Stellar Jackpots series from the Lightning Box studio, this SG Digital slot takes you on a journey to the Serengeti plains. 3 progressive jackpots are reminiscent of SG’s Mega Drops series, with a Hold N Spin feature when landing 2+ scatters, which will lock the scatters in the place and start re-spinning them with the hope to trigger more. If you land 5, you get the Diamond Pick bonus, where choosing diamond will award you with free spins and multipliers, and give you a chance to swap them out if you don’t like what’s given by the diamond you chose.Show less
Other casino games
A big chunk of the card games in the US casino market, especially at the biggest casinos, come from SG DIgital. There are some table games, but not as many. A few are from NYX and WMS, but it’s the SHFL studio that really carries the SG Digital casinos here. That’s not surprising really; the brand’s old name was Shuffle Master.
Just like the rest of the SG Digital offering, they’re not at every casino in the US, but they’re at most of the big ones. Smaller, newer casinos usually start off with NetEnt and/or IGT — we assume it’s because it’s easier to get everything from 1 studio rather than all the different names under SG.
Average-sized casinos (check out our BetWay online casino review for an example) are likely going to be running the SHFL offering, which includes mostly RNG card games. They’ve got a few versions of poker, 3 and 4 card, Fortune Pai Go Poker, a couple of Texas Hold ‘Em variants etc. They’ve also got some blackjack games, like Blazing 7’s, and the Baccarat-style Casino War is pretty popular in the US too.
Bigger places may be running their table Blazing 7s Roulette from WMS, and the single and multi hand Blackjack Pro games from NYX. Golden Nugget is actually one of the best SG Digital casinos in this regard — it’s got a big block of exclusive card & table games, and the majority come from Scientific Games studios. Golden Nugget single and multi hand blackjack are among them, as are the exclusive roulette games from WMS.
Game type | No. of games (approx) | Best title | Play At |
---|---|---|---|
Poker | 10 | Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em | SugarHouse casino |
Blackjack | 3 | Blazing 7’s Blackjack | Stardust casino |
Roulette | 2 | Blazing7’s Roulette | BetMGM casino |
Baccarat | 2 | Casino War | PlayStar casino |
SG Digital casinos: what different types are out there?
In essence, any online casino that runs SG games is an SG Digital casino.
So, what makes a different type? If it can provide some sort of variation that affects your play there, we count it as a specific class of casino that players might be interested in. Especially if such a twist makes the spot one of the best SG Digital casinos available. The US casino market is still pretty young, but here’s what to keep an eye out for as things change:
New SG DIgital casinos
We always keep an eye out for new casinos — simple reason, it’s common for them to have good bonus offers to try and attract new players. If a new casino launches with SG Digital games, we’re in for a good time. Sometimes, established operators who don’t have SG games will become new SG Digital casinos by stocking said games for the first time. While it’s rarer, operators sometimes put promotions on those games to ‘welcome’ them and get people to try them out.
Mobile SG Digital casinos
Mobile-only casinos are still a rarity in the US, but there are definitely some mobile-first ones around (e.g. FanDuel). The least you can expect from these is a top-shelf app with everything nicely optimized for mobile play and smaller screens, with great navigation options.
For the really good stuff, look out for any mobile-exclusive games, and mobile-specific interfaces or changes that make popular desktop games more accessible on mobile. Most providers don’t make this super-obvious but check out NetEnt’s Touch series versus their ‘normal’ versions for an idea of what we’re talking about.
SG Digital slot sites
Again, we’re still in a young US market. Slots-only sites are quite rare, and honestly, we’re not going to complain about that. They still work the same on standard casino sites. That being said, SG Digital slot sites are quite common internationally, so do they have any perks? Short answer; yes. Watch for things like regular promotions, especially on top slots, and bonus T&Cs which are particularly favorable to slot lovers.
Category winners — best by type
As we’ve said above, mobile and slot exclusives are rare in the US. Still, we can get by. Technically, anywhere with SG Digital slots is an SG Digital slots site, so we’ll still recommend a great option for you. Same thing with mobile; it doesn’t need to be mobile-only to have a top offering.
Type of casino | Best SG Digital casino |
---|---|

SG Digital mobile casino | SugarHouse casino |
SG Digital slot site | PlayStar casino |
With all the game studios out there, why pick SG Digital?
SG Digital is the biggest software provider operating in the US. That’s not an automatic guarantee that you’re the best, but you don’t become the biggest unless you’re good. The company’s roots go back to 1932, when its earliest ancestors made pinball machines.
One clear advantage of SG’s size is their budget — their games are good, high quality options in terms of mechanics, technology, and aesthetics (as in: graphics & soundtracks). Sure, when you’ve got such a huge library, not everything you put out is a gem, but their good stuff is really good.
You also get a certain reputation that comes with the studio’s size; they’re hyper-present in the US market and abroad, and no one’s been complaining about them defaulting on jackpots or anything. They’ve been in the game for a good long time, and they have a solid, clean reputation.
Drilling down more into the games themselves, variety is another advantage that comes from SG’s market dominance. SG Digital can offer you everything from blackjack and roulette games, to high-RTP, casual-friendly games (Starmania), to 2 different jackpot series (Mega Drops and Stellar Jackpots).
They’re also trusted to do branded slots for other franchises, which shows they’re trusted by other franchisees in a variety of industries. These include:
Casinos; (they make exclusive branded games for Golden Nugget)
TV & Movie industry; (they make official themed slots like Anchorman & F.R.I.E.N.D.S., and have the rights to the James Bond franchise)
Boardgame brands; (SG makes the casino versions of Monopoly and Clue / Cluedo)
Offline casinos; (WMS brought top Vegas slots like Zeus slot to online gaming)
- Incredible variety
- Top selection of high-quality games
- Safe & trusted by many
- American company
- Dates back to Vegas, 1932
- Lack detailed product info
- Newer HD games may not function 100% on old devices
Best alternatives to SG Digital
Right, so you’re not convinced yet. That’s 100% fine, not every provider is everyone’s cup of tea. So, who can you turn to instead?
Our immediate recommendations are NetEnt and IGT. They’re probably the only 2 providers more widespread in the US casino market than SG Digital. SG is at practically all the medium and big spots, while NetEnt and IGT have that, and are usually the providers new, small casinos launch with.
What’s the difference? IGT is an American company that started off making land-based slots and moved online. IGT casinos are known in the US for their frankly staggering series of progressive jackpots, the Mega Jackpots series. But, they’re also solid in terms of slots and table games too.
NetEnt casinos are the other clear option — they’re a Swedish company that has absolutely killed it in the UK and US markets, and they’re arguably the most popular provider in the US. They’ve got a boatload of great slots that are super popular and attract bonuses from providers, including the legendary Gonzo’s Quest and Starburst. They do tables too, covering all big card and table games, and have a well-loved American roulette game. They don’t have as many progressives as IGT, but their shining star in that category is Divine Fortune, which is probably the top progressive jackpot game nationwide.
An option 3 just to mix it up? Big Time Gaming isn’t a bad shout. There aren’t as many Big Time Gaming casinos as there are IGT, NetEnt, or SG Digital casinos, but they’re original. They’re the squad who invented the Megaways mechanic and changed the slots scene forever, and we appreciate the oomph they bring to the casino market.

Is SG Digital safe?
Putting it simply, yes. They are among the providers who offer their services to legal US online casinos, which are audited for safety prior to being licensed. Furthermore, many casinos acquire games, whether by SG Digital or completely unrelated to them, through SG Digital’s OpenGaming network.
To break down why that’s important:
- All licensed US online casinos are regularly audited by government boards like the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement or the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
- A whole bunch of these casinos acquire TONS of games through SG OpenGaming, essentially paying SG to set up the casino for them.
- That means that thousands of casino games throughout the US, either made or purchased through SG, are constantly undergoing safety tests, and are passing them.
The Scientific Games corporation also runs a diverse portfolio of social responsibility operations, covering everything from responsible gambling initiatives to environmental sustainability programs, and supporting businesses by diverse groups, from ethnic minorities to disabled veterans.
SG Digital and partners’ games are constantly tested for fairness
Accredited test facilities ensure that all legal fairness criteria are being met. There can be some differences state-to-state, for example, NJ slots have to pay out a minimum of 83% return, while PA slots have to up this to 85%. In any case, SG are one of the world’s biggest names at online gambling sites, and games that come from or through them are tested by state licensing boards. Abroad, testers include eCOGRA, the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority, and licensing boards in Alderney, Gibraltar and Romania.
SG DIgital develops responsible gambling tools, and supports orgs
SG Digital gives financial support to responsible gaming organizations which aim to treat and prevent problem gambling. They also construct player safety tools for their games, in accordance with US laws. Common tools include single bet limits, deposit limits and loss limits, along with timed or semi-permanent self-suspensions.
SG commits to supporting responsible initiatives
Apart from responsible gambling, SG puts their money where their mouth is when it comes to supporting environmental sustainability, charitable and community outreach programs, and supplier diversity. More details on the supplier diversity program can be found here.
