FanDuel is a household name in the gambling world, and the FanDuel online casino has been making waves in the US for the past few years. It’s already set itself up in the 4 main legal online casino states, and you can play its casino games in Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.

In New Jersey, it‘s partnered with Stardust, though FanDuel will be releasing its own NJ casino soon.

FanDuel’s biggest site currently hosts 160 games, including 15 live dealer games that run 24/7. They offer a super-generous exclusive welcome bonus through this site, and you can play from anywhere legal with its dedicated mobile apps.

So, should you play here? We think it’s worth a shot. It’s not a perfect casino by a long shot, but there’s a lot we like about it. Our FanDuel casino review will run through all the pros and cons, so let’s draw our swords and take on this (Fan)Duel!

Pros and cons

  • No maximum withdrawal limits
  • Great game variety for its size
  • Amazing customer service
  • Smaller game library

Expert verdict

Despite the relatively small games library, FanDuel is an above-average casino. I think it treats its players well, both in terms of regular promotions for existing players and top-tier customer support. The lenient withdrawal limits on winnings are great as well, but I’m still a little mixed about the withdrawal methods being winnings-specific.

160 games is not a lot, but 11 providers is a lot for such a small library — you’re good on variety. 24/7 live casino and an exclusive live game is fantastic to see too. I like that all main payment modes are covered, but FanDuel would benefit from adding a few more methods.

Those who want to play FanDuel casino on mobile will have a good time, with dedicated apps for Android and iOS available in each state and matching the desktop offering.

FanDuel’s offering per state

FanDuel launched its PA casino in January 2020, becoming the state’s sixth online casino. It’s also part of the Michigan online casinos list and joined West Virginia in May 2021.

FanDuel has also announced plans to launch a standalone New Jersey casino site soon. That would put it live in all the major states where online casino betting is legal, and we’d have to wait for more legalizations before FanDuel could expand to different states. But given the rate of expansion, we don’t think we’ll be waiting long once a state gets the green light.

In the meantime, if you’re eager to start playing but live in a state where it’s either not legal yet or you can’t find a casino you like, we suggest checking out our top sweeps cash casinos, which are available across the US.

Exclusive FanDuel casino bonus: $1,000 Play It Again + $100 in site credits

Upon making your first deposit and first bet, you’ll unlock your FanDuel casino bonus: 24 hours of reloaded betting. Any net losses you make in your first 24 hours of casino play will be refunded by FanDuel, up to a maximum of $1,000. If you make your first bet within the first 24 hours, you’ll also receive $100 in site credits ($25 a week for 4 weeks).

This is an exclusive online casino bonus that will only be awarded to those who register through Time2play.

Matching 100% of losses up to $1,000 is more than most casinos in the US are willing to do. Even for deposit matches, the average match bonus is only about $350-$750. For cashbacks it’s no contest; Tropicana and Virgin only refund up to $100.

Also, there are technically no wagering requirements, which is fantastic when you consider that many casinos ask you to bet any bonus funds you’re awarded between 16x-30x before you can convert them to cash. Your refund is awarded as ‘Site Credit’, which can’t be withdrawn, but anything you win with it can be withdrawn instantly. Once you activate the offer within 24 hours, you will receive $25 in site credits for 4 straight weeks (totaling to $100).

With that in mind, this FanDuel casino bonus is quite a strong one, but keep in mind that you need to place a wager within 24 hours of registering.

You don’t need any FanDuel casino promo code to claim the bonus either — it’s awarded automatically upon making your first deposit and bet.

Apart from the welcome bonus, FanDuel casino players have access to sets of temporary promotions, usually one-a-day offers that come around weekly. There is also a referral system where players can get bonus funds by directing friends to the site with their unique referral link.

A detailed loyalty program rounds out the FanDuel casino bonus offering nicely.

Bonus rating

83/100 Plenty of promotions, decent welcome offer
  • Up to $1,000
  • $100 site credit
  • First wager within 24 hours

Matching up to $1,000 worth of losses with winnings that can be cashed out instantly is a reasonable offer, especially bundled with the $100 site credit.

I also like to see welcome bonuses tiered with some no deposit free spins like at the best no deposit casino sites. There’s none of that here. If you’re into free spins too, Golden Nugget casino offers up to 200 free spins, while Unibet casino offers $10 free to every incoming player. SugarHouse offers a deposit match, but only up to $250.

It’s great to see so many offers for existing players. Too many casinos forget about their players once their sign-on bonus is claimed, and we don’t usually see more than 1-3 existing player offers. The FanDuel casino promos are abundant. At the time of writing, there are 5 existing player offers, the referral program, and the loyalty points system, which awards points and perks based on your wagering.

The existing bonuses are mostly cashback bonuses of $10 on specific titles or categories, such as slots or table games. The outlier is a game-of-the-week FanDuel casino bonus, which awards players $5 free once they wager a total of $50 on a selected game.

The only downsides to bonuses at FanDuel casino:

– They’re mostly cashback
– The welcome bonus cashback expires after 7 days

It’s not uncommon for bonus funds to expire, but $1,000 in 7 days is a steep ask. SugarHouse gives you 30 days to wager just $250. On the whole, FanDuel has a solid bonus offering, and there’s plenty to like.

FanDuel casino promo code

Lots of people ask about this, and it’s understandable. FanDuel casino used to require a promo code for its welcome bonus. It no longer does. The welcome bonus activates once you make a deposit and make your first bet. The bonus code boxes are still present on the site for inputting referral codes from the refer-a-friend program.  Still, future temporary promotions may require a code, so keep an eye out.

FanDuel refer-a-friend

This promotion is for new FanDuel accounts and is shared across the sportsbook and casino verticals. It awards $200, split as follows:

  • $100 to the original player, $100 to the referred player
  • Each reward is split $50/$50 between sportsbook and casino

FanDuel loyalty program

FanDuel casino shares a loyalty program with Stardust casino, giving players points and rewards based on their wagering. Each bet you make generates ‘tier points’ and ‘bonus points’. They are awarded at the same rate but do different things. Bonus points can be redeemed for cash and prizes, while Tier points take you to higher levels of the loyalty program, which give better rewards.

Points are generated at the following rates:

  • $1 wagered on slots: 5 points
  • $1 wagered on table games: 3 points
  • $1 wagered on blackjack: 1 point

There are 5 tiers; iron, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. At each level, bonus points can be redeemed for bonus cash with a 1x wagering requirement on that cash. Your tier is calculated at the end of each month, but if you play your way up once, you’ll need fewer points to keep your level. Overview:

Games: FanDuel casino has over 150

FanDuel players have a choice of 160 games at the time of writing — below the expected US average of 300-500.

The offering is expectedly slots-heavy, with Fanduel’s slots accounting for 126 of the total. The live casino offers 15 titles, mostly blackjack. Roulette, baccarat and poker titles are also available for live play.

Table games round out the rest, with 5 poker options, 2 RNG blackjack titles, 2 baccarat (baccarat play guide), and WMS’s Casino War accompanying 6 RNG roulette options.

Most casinos don’t run any bespoke or exclusive games, and it’s a plus to see that FanDuel’s blackjack-heavy offering includes a dedicated FanDuel Live Blackjack title. Tailor-made games are a rarity in general, and exclusive live games even more so.

Despite its small numerical offering, FanDuel’s online casino impresses by committing to transparency — most games’ theoretical RTP can be viewed without launching the game or signing in.

This is not a common thing to see at US online casinos, and the only other name that immediately springs to mind is Golden Nugget, one of our top scorers across the country. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to test these out directly, as – like with Borgata casino online –  demos aren’t offered to the playing public, and you won’t get your hands on any FanDuel casino free games.

Games rating

73/100 Good for its size, but size matters
  • Exclusives
  • High stakes options
  • Small library

At Time2play, we pride ourselves on being transparent, so I’m not going to cover for FanDuel here — they could be doing loads better. While PA has miles to go to catch the US’s trailblazers, FanDuel online casino is some distance behind the top of even PA online casinos.

It’s not all doom and gloom. In variety, live casino, and the quality of games offered, FanDuel’s doing pretty darn well. Let’s get the knockdowns out of the way first and build up to the good stuff.

160-odd online casino games is not a lot. The vastest libraries in the US float over 700. If we compare it to something like BetMGM, the latter’s got over 700 in NJ, but even in Pennsylvania, where offerings tend to be smaller, it’s got around 230. FanDuel’s offering is only 69.57% of that. Still, it’s far from the smallest — William Hill only had 55 before Caesar’s bought the brand.

However, if I said limited totals = limited variety, I’d only be half-right. The common ‘side stuff’, like keno, bingo, or scratch cards isn’t to be found here. But Fanduel casino covers its bases by offering all the big-pillar stuff:

Slots, check. Roulette, check. Blackjack, check. Poker, check. Live games, check. The variety offered here is great, relative to the library’s size.

The good parts? FanDuel offers a big live casino section for such a small place – even if it is largely dominated by different blackjack tables. The fact that a lot of the live games accept high-stakes hands sweetens the deal too.

The games offered are good too — I’ll focus on this in the software section, but FanDuel isn’t cheaping out. Big names like Divine Fortune, the ever-popular Starburst slot and Da Vinci Diamonds show up here.

It sucks that you can’t try games as demos, but you could always pop to another site and come back.

My FanDuel casino review verdict for games: great for its size, but it needs to work on its size. That averages out to ‘good’ in my books.

FanDuel slots

Again, 129 slots isn’t a huge list (compared to, say, Borgata’s 600), but there are good names here. We’ve picked out a few favorites:

Slot title Software provider RTP % Key features
Mercy of the Gods NetEnt 96.64% Progressive jackpot, re-spins, scatter bonus
88 Fortunes SHFL  95.93% – 96% Wild bonus, jackpot game
Asgardian Stones NetEnt 96.31% Free spins, bonus wheel, wild substitutions.
Siberian Storm IGT 94.91%  Stackable widls, scatters, free spins

Software: top names reign at FanDuel

FanDuel online casino hosts games from 11 different software providers and casino game studios. Seeing that 10-20 is standard across the country, Fanduel makes the cut.

When FanDuel PA launched, it carried slots exclusively using NetEnt software: a top provider hugely popular at online casinos in the US. NetEnt still towers above most other providers in the Fanduel online casino library, hogging the majority of the games.

This isn’t a problem in the slightest — there are reasons why NetEnt is so renowned that include more than just Gonzo’s Quest, Divine Fortune, and Dead or Alive, which you’ll find at FanDuel.

Software rating

67/100 Again, great for its size, but…
  • Good quality software providers
  • Densely packed with providers
  • Many leading studios missing

With NetEnt and IGT providing most of the games, you’re in good hands with Fanduel casino. While I never expect a casino to host games by all the top providers (that would be very expensive), I can’t ignore the conspicuously missing names here. I didn’t come across anything from Konami, Slingo, Playtech, Aristocrat, High 5 etc.

However, I think there’s a big positive spin I can add here. Looking through the library, you can’t help but notice that a big chunk of games from names that FanDuel didn’t launch with are marked as ‘new.’ Among others, I’m talking Lightning Box, Everi, NYX and Barcrest.

Considering the tiny offerings this casino launched with and the fact that it’s bringing in a few games from different sources at once, I’m expecting this casino to grow rapidly.

Also, the variety of providers, while smaller overall, is phenomenal for the library’s size. At 160/11, you’ve got 1 provider for every 14.5 games. Somewhere like Borgata online casino may have a bigger total offering, but with 750/21, and 1 provider per 36 games, the relative variety at FanDuel is greater. Do I expect that ratio to remain the same as FanDuel casino grows? Certainly not. But it demonstrates a commitment to expanding, which is a plus for me.

A quick run through the rest of my FanDuel casino review checklist: you can play in-browser and don’t need to download any software to play. That’s a plus. No exclusive software means FanDuel casino misses out on a bonus point. There’s only one live casino provider, but Evolution is the best one. The 24-hour stream and land-based shooting location are a plus.

All in all, FanDuel online casino needs to grow, and quickly. But if it grows and keeps doing everything else it’s already doing, it will be a top-class offering.

Payments: eight methods and counting

With 8 different ways to deposit and withdraw, the FanDuel payment offering is in line with what we’d expect. Across the US, most casinos offer 6-10, while 11-14 is above average but not particularly groundbreaking.

FanDuel casino Pennsylvania presents players with all the most important vectors, including online wallets, bank transfer, ACH, card, cash, and Play+ prepaid cards.

The cards available are Visa and Mastercard, the cash options include paying at the casino cage and Paynearme, and PayPal casinos cover the e-wallet portion. You can withdraw by PayPal, check, online banking, and at the casino cage.

Fanduel casino also plans to add Venmo to its repertoire, though this method will initially have a deposit limit of $3,000 per transaction.

FanDuel scores pretty well on deposit and withdrawal limits, with just a $5 minimum deposit, beating out the industry’s $10-$15 norm, and marking it as among the best Visa casinos. No minimum or maximum withdrawal limits is a huge plus, but there’s a general inability to withdraw deposits which may put some players off.

To specify, withdrawals at FanDuel online casino are designed for the money you win, not for the money you deposit. If you put in some money and change your mind later, you’ll need to jump through some hoops to get it back out.

Deposit methods

Withdrawal methods

Payments rating

70/100 The good points are great, the bad are s**t
  • No withdrawal limits
  • PayPal accepted
  • Can only withdraw winnings

The good stuff: the hard limits on depositing and withdrawing are some of the most lenient I’ve seen in the US market to date. I have to give top points for having no numerical limits on the amount you can withdraw, big or small. Withdrawal times are pretty solid too, with 24-48 hours being above the ~3-day average. Once processing is done, you can expect some same day online casino withdrawals from FanDyel too.

Still, I don’t like this ‘withdraw winnings’ BS. I mean sure, when I put money into a casino, I’m fully prepared to lose it, but with just about every other casino, I have the luxury of knowing I can always change my mind. It’s weird, and it feels like putting a wagering requirement on my own money.

That being said, FanDuel casino has 24/7 live chat support, so you’ll always have someone to speak to about getting a refund. You can also use a credit card chargeback, but be aware that FanDuel charges a $5 fee in that case, which again, I don’t like.

With all this in mind, I think it’s fair to say that FanDuel online casino is uniquely suited to high rollers who don’t mind making big bets and can get maximum value from the lenient withdrawal limits.

I also always like it when casinos offer PayPal, seeing as the platform’s got its own pre-approval system for gambling-related partners.

If there was a desire for FanDuel to up their casino review score, they could also add in a few more elite payment options. I’m not seeing names like Skrill, Neteller, and PaySafeCard here, and neither is FanDuel an AMEX casino.

Safety rating: all okay

Nothing special to say here; it’s incredibly rare to see an operator offer something above-and-beyond in the realm of safety — there isn’t that much ‘extra’ you can do. But FanDuel online casino adheres to all the requirements and is perfectly legal and safe to use.

In PA, FanDuel online casino is authorized by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

One thing FanDuel offers that’s slightly unusual is automatic email notifications on sign-in. Technically, it’s not hyper-unusual, but it’s the default setting at FanDuel casino, which is a nice touch if you’re a safety-conscious player.

It’s also great that FanDuel is partnered with physical casinos in every state it’s active in — associating with other licensed brands is never a downside to a security rating.

Safety rating

84/100 Really solid, but nothing unique
  • All legal stuff is adhered to
  • Associated with prominent names
  • Nothing particularly unique

FanDuel’s US operations are merged with those of Flutter Entertainment. If you haven’t heard of them, you may know them as Paddy Power Betfair — another big name in the online gambling sites industry. That’s the closest thing to a unique safety offer that FanDuel casino gets – a lot of other licensed names are happy to work with them. It’s certainly a vote of confidence I won’t dismiss.

They work with the Valley Forge Casino in PA, The Greenbrier in WV, and the Motor City Casino Hotel in MI. They’re also partnered with an online casino in NJ called Stardust, which operates under the license of the Golden Nugget hotel and casino in Atlantic City. With all that, if I didn’t know anything about casinos, I’d sooner trust FanDuel than a random site with no land-based associates.

So, I said FanDuel online casino does all the usual stuff. What does that mean?

– Dedicated responsible gambling pages with links to external organizations
– Clickable seals linking to licensing and auditing authorities
– Readily available, transparent T&Cs

Is there anywhere they could improve? Yes. I’d like them to be a bit more transparent about game fairness. They do have a support article explaining Random Number Generators and how they work, but I’d prefer an explicit statement saying ‘our games are RNG audited.’ Sure, the implication is there, but you can afford to state the obvious when it comes to player safety.

Some sort of award would also bump up the score in this FanDuel casino review as having a reputation to protect gets a bonus point.

Other stuff I like? Sure. Being licensed in 3 states (and NJ through Stardust, sort of) means FanDuel casino is being watched by a lot of auditors. It’s also positively reviewed on most gambling sites, which is a plus.

FanDuel casino app

The FanDuel casino app can be downloaded on both Android and iOS devices. It’s exactly the same as the desktop version; this makes sense since FanDuel launched on mobile before desktop.

All 160 games are available on mobile, including the 15 live dealer titles. Casinos usually leave out  many games in their transfer over to mobile — often between 30-50%. That means mobile is one region where this casino out-Duels the average USA mobile casino.

We do have to say that we’re used to mobile apps being a little glitchy and slow, and we’ve highlighted the issue in our Golden Nugget and BetMGM reviews, but we haven’t experienced that at all with the FanDuel casino app. It’s one of the smoothest we’ve tried so far.

Finding your way around the app is no problem — the header bar is the same as the desktop’s, allowing you to quickly locate whatever you are looking for, as discussed in the usability section. A search bar is available to find games and FanDuel casino gets an extra point for offering a ‘favorite games’ tab, which you can curate yourself.

95/100 No complaints whatsoever

  • No mobile-specific elements

In terms of smoothness and playability, this app gets top points. I did not have any issues either finding the games I wanted or loading them up. It’s always a great moment when everything from the desktop version is available on the casino app. In this case, I’d say it’s technically slightly less special since FanDuel was a mobile-first casino, but hey, it’s still better than its rivals.

Navigation could be improved by adding filters to help find games, but that’s not a mobile-specific problem. The top scorer for mobile is currently SugarHouse, and that’s the main difference between these two, which is reflected in the points discrepancy.

A couple of other minor points could help FanDuel casino improve its app score. They’re all centered around the fact that nothing at FanDuel is mobile-specific. The interface does get optimized for a smaller screen but doesn’t change much, and there are no mobile-specific bonuses or payment methods on offer. Those aren’t huge issues, but it’s nice when casinos offer them, so we reserve bonus points in that case.

Downloading the FanDuel casino app: Android

These days, FanDuel and other real money Android casino apps are available on the Google Play Store, which wasn’t always the case. Searching for FanDuel Casino over there should sort you out. However, if you can’t find it that way:

  • Head to the FanDuel casino website on your Android device.
  • A prompt will show up at the top, linking you to the download page
  • Click the link and download the app from the Google Play Store
  • Accept permissions, log in to your account, and start playing

Downloading the FanDuel casino app: iOS

Heading to the FanDuel casino website on your Apple device should automatically redirect you to the App Store download page. Alternatively, you can get it manually by doing the following.

  • Open up the App Store
  • Search for FanDuel Casino, and download the app
  • Accept permissions, sign in, and get playing

Customer support: live chat and email

Online casino players at FanDuel have the choice of live chat and email, should any problems arise. They’ll also have access to a knowledge base with FAQ and help pages. The only thing missing is a phone option.

We tested each communication method multiple times. The email channel was quite average, with decently detailed responses coming in within a few hours (fastest was ~70 minutes, slowest ~6 hours).

Live chat, though, stood out. Queue times were only a few seconds, and the response quality was excellent. For comparison, queue times of 1-5 minutes are not uncommon in the US. And it’s available 24/7, which is a huge perk. For a concrete comparison, Caesar’s only offers live chat for a few hours every day, and you’ll be queuing for over a minute usually, which is still pretty fast. 888 doesn’t offer live chat at all.

Support rating

95/100 Phenomenal support, despite no phone options
  • Brilliant live chat staff
  • Support available to non-registered players
  • No phone support

Not offering phone support knocks a few points off, but on the whole, I think players are in good hands with FanDuel online casino. No phone is the only reason why the operator doesn’t land a perfect score.

I test many support channels, and I can say without a doubt that the FanDuel casino support staff were some of the most knowledgeable and helpful I’ve interacted with in the US casino scene.

Apart from being among the most polite, they were able to answer all the questions I asked with minimal fuss and though they had to put me on hold once or twice to find out some information, I was never waiting more than 3 minutes for a complete and comprehensive answer.

I happened to message on a day when a new promotion started, and while that caused a bit of miscommunication, the staff was extremely patient in the face of that curve-ball, and they were able to answer details I had about that brand new offering within a few minutes.

Being available 24/7 is brilliant and something we expect from top operators but don’t always get. Unibet is another top name in online gambling that can’t squeeze out 24/7 dedicated chat. Another point I like is the ability to send a transcript of your support chat to yourself by email. Very handy for keeping records.

Email is useful if you have a specific, non-urgent query, but the live chat is so good that I don’t see why you’d use anything else. The only improvement I could suggest would be making it easier to find / available on the homepage. At the moment, you have to scroll down and find the support page to access it. It’s way easier to find than BetMGM’s or Borgata’s, but SugarHouse’s is accessible with one click from the homepage.

Usability: good, with simple filtering and favorites

On the whole, very usable. The main improvement needed is complex filtering options. The most important stuff you need to know:

There are 10 fields to fill in when registering and 5 other boxes to tick, including the optional 2-factor authentication. There’s another optional field for any FanDuel casino promo code or referral code you might have.

The current default FanDuel casino welcome bonus doesn’t require a promo code.

FanDuel online casino homepage and slots page

A search function helps you find games quickly, and different game types are clearly divided into sections. Simple filtering allows you to sort games by title, which isn’t as comprehensive as the great filters at SugarHouse or Golden Nugget but is better than no filtering at all, which isn’t rare for US casinos.

The ability to favorite games and have them appear under a dedicated tab in the top menu is a great spin that we don’t see at too many other online casinos. Good job, FanDuel!

It’s also a plus that you can click on each game and get a banner displaying their theoretical RTP%. Those need to be available to find in-game, but we appreciate that FanDuel casino went out of their way to save players’ time and effort while adding to their transparency.

Usability rating

88/100 Very solid, but no trailblazer
  • Basic filter options
  • Favorite games tab
  • Most bonuses automatic or easily-activated
  • No complex filtering

I think we’ve already covered all the important stuff, but I can elaborate a bit on what I’ve mentioned. FanDuel casino promo codes seem a little out of date. They’re still available, even on FanDuel’s site, and there’s still a box for them on registration. But you don’t need them.

The Play It Again bonus should apply automatically, and for just about everything else, you can head to the promotions tab and hit the opt-in button. I love the favorites tab. It’s not going to change the world, but it’s a quality-of-life bonus offered by FanDuel that I’ve ended up appreciating more than I thought I would.

I also didn’t get any crashes or loading problems, which is something I’d consider pretty basic, except that it happens a lot at online casinos. My one big complaint is the lack of detailed filtering options that let you sort by theme, software, biggest historical win etc.

My verdict for usability in this FanDuel casino review: almost perfect — emphasis on almost.
