Expert verdict
Hollywood Casino is a known brand in the casino world, so it was no surprise to me that its online casino would offer a quality experience. Although it’s not the biggest game library, like say BetMGM’s 6,200+, I still appreciated having 1,500+ quality games all curated by software providers like NetEnt, Evolution, and Hacksaw Gaming, with exclusive games thrown in, too.
As for bonuses, I thought the $500 in play credits with a 1x wagering requirement is a pretty good deal. There’s also the new player bet and get bonus, which awards 300 bonus spins, which I feel pairs well with the first bonus to help new players start strong.
There are some kinks in the armour, of course, one of which is that it can take up to five days to process withdrawals, and then you’ll need to wait a few more days till the funds can hit your account. I felt the strongest aspect of the new player bet and get bonus is that the minimum wager is $5 to get 300 bonus spins. That’s lower than plenty of casinos I’ve come across. At Hard Rock Bet, for instance, the minimum deposit is $10.

In terms of number of games, I found a smaller collection than I was hoping for at Hollywood Casino. 1,500+ has plenty to offer, but when you compare it to BetMGM’s 6,000+ library, it doesn’t leave as strong an impression.
Despite this, I was glad to find a really strong variety of games, particularly when it came to slots. There are so many popular titles here. The Goonies Megaways was one game I didn’t expect to see. The progressive jackpots section is another that impressed me.

I found very little to dislike in this area. 36 software providers is a good number for a casino like Hollywood Casino, and many of the names on here are reputable, industry leaders like NetEnt, Hacksaw, and Evolution, which I always take as a good sign. It means I can trust the quality of games and there’s a higher chance many of my favorites will be available. BetOcean, for comparison, works with just 21 providers, which limits the game pool by a lot.
The live games providers were good to see, too. Evolution is an essential name in live games software, as is Playtech. One provider that could have improved both the live games section and the slots selection was Pragmatic Play, which is missing from this list.

I thought the 10 payment options available are pretty good, especially when almost all of them are available for both deposits and withdrawals. I find it makes things much more convenient. Hollywood Casino isn’t getting a higher rating here, though, as it’s missing a few of the key payment options. In fact only offers four, and so despite the 10 payment options, the score has been impacted quite a bit.
All the same, I was happy with what I found because there’s a choice of cards, bank transfers, and a decent number of e-wallets. Plus, if you live close by, you can use cash at cage. PlayStar is an example of a casino that’s got a strong payments offering. It has 11 payment options, but it also offers Play+, Paysafe, and VIP Preferred, which are key payment options that Hollywood Casino lacks.
What’s not cool is the lengthy withdrawal review time. Overall, I’m happy with the support offered at Hollywood Casino. My experience with both the email support and live chat was positive. The live chat agent was pretty helpful and gave me the details I was looking for. Email support has a slightly longer waiting time, but I was happy all the same.
The FAQs are what really stood out here, though. There’s a lot of information readily available. The biggest letdown of this section is that the RNG table games don’t have their own filter. There are so many game-type filters; adding one specifically for table games wouldn’t have been difficult. Instead, there’s an added layer of work where you’ll need to manually search for and discern the RNG table games from the live casino games, which I found pretty tedious.
