Best alternatives to DraftKings casino
Editor's note
This review is based on the operator’s current offer. Data and analysis are accurate at the time of publishing but may be subject to change as the operator’s offer expands.
Expert verdict
DraftKings is an exceptional casino with an extensive game selection, a reward-laden VIP program, and monthly bonus codes. They score incredibly well in all categories.
DraftKings casino is a good place for high rollers and the more carefully experimental players. It has few upper limits and heaps of rewards for returning players. It also offers low minimum deposits, low-bet games, and instructive videos.
Their operations are safe, and secure, and seem well-run with a special focus on caring for their players. Despite the annoyance of new DraftKings casino promo codes every month, this site deserves its reputation as a strong player in this game.
How does it hold up against the rest of the big players? Read this DraftKings casino review to find out.
State differences
This DraftKings casino review is based on the version available in New Jersey, but the offer is consistent across all states. Below are the notable facts and differences in DraftKings casino across all available states:

DraftKings casino offers a refer-a-friend bonus where you can earn up to $100 in Casino Credits per referral.
For every bet you place in DraftKings, you earn crowns, which can be redeemed for DraftKings Dollars, free credits, and a variety of other exclusive rewards. This happens mainly through the Dynasty Rewards system and the Dynasty Store.
DK Dollars are another internal currency, often won and awarded for casino leaderboards. These work similarly to cash but require a one-time playthrough on one of DraftKings platforms (casino, sportsbook, or daily fantasy).
Bonus rating
- Large welcome bonus
- Continuous bonus system
- No free spins
- Competing VIP systems
Even with just their baseline offer, DraftKings is at the very top of the best online casino bonuses in the US market. With a market generally in the range of $100-$300 requiring 16x-30x wagering on your deposit, DraftKings’ $50/1x put them safely in the top league.
Their 1x wagering requirement (which applies only to casino credits) is definitely one of the lowest you can find in the market. This matches sites like SugarHouse online casino, for example, which also have a 1x wagering requirement for their entire online casino bonus.
On the negative side of things, there aren’t many DraftKings casino bonuses available at any one time, and most of them are conditional (like the welcome bonus or refer-a-friend bonus), so most can’t be repeated that many times and there are few fun surprises there.

Dynasty Rewards, DK Crowns, and the DraftKings VIP Program
DraftKings has several loyalty programs and ways to gain better bonuses, including DraftKings Crowns, the Dynasty Rewards, and their VIP Program.
The Dynasty Rewards system is a tiered system where you advance your status by earning DraftKings Crowns, which you gain with every dollar you spend on bets on DraftKings all sites.
There are five tiers in the Dynasty Rewards system, with increasing bonuses:
- Bronze (0 DKC): Gives you access to all standard features of the Crowns/Dynasty system, including access to the Dynasty Store and the ability to redeem crowns for free contests and Free Credits.
- Silver (25,000 DKC): You also gain access to tier-exclusive contests and promotions, plus a monthly Crown accrual boost of 10%.
- Gold (125,000 DKC): Your accrual bonus increases to 20%, and you are entitled to Priority Customer Support.
- Diamond (500,000 DKC): Your accrual bonus increases to 30%, and you can now gift a Gold Tier Trial Period to a friend. You also gain access to “Exclusive Live Experiences”, and a team of VIP Associates.
- Onyx (1,000,000+ DKC): Your accrual bonus reaches its final form at 40%, and rather than a team of VIP associates, you now have your own dedicated VIP host.
The Dynasty Store includes everything from merchandise, experiences, gift cards, and even offers for vacations and travel. You also receive a New Tier Welcome Reward with each step up the ladder.
So what’s their “VIP program” then? Well, it’s a different but potentially connected system apparently.
Unlike the “Dynasty” tab, the “VIP” tab has no detailed explanations and tables of requirements and rewards and is explained with vague simplicity. Only one thing is made clear: it is invitation-only, but unfortunately, the exact difference between an Onyx-tier DraftKings member and a VIP member is unclear.
It may seem, both from DraftKings’ own statements and recent press coverage of long-term VIP members, that this VIP program is an artifact from earlier days. For new players, it seems the Dynasty Rewards system is the one to keep in mind!
Games: 2,000+ games and many exclusives
DraftKings casino offers 2,000+ games on their site, far above the average online casino offering of around 300-500 casino games. You can browse their 1,600+ slot games, 345 jackpots, 81 table games, and 43 live dealer games.

DraftKings online casino also offers 48 exclusive casino games and there aren’t a lot of casinos that offer such a large selection of their own exclusive titles.
Their live casino includes both shared tables (open 11 am to 3 am) and exclusive DraftKings tables (open 24/7) available.
DraftKings also offers demos for all games on their site (live games not included), giving you a chance to test them all out without requiring a login.
Several of the most popular games on DraftKings casino are games of their own making. This casino has more craps games than anyone else, and the DraftKings exclusive is the difference maker that cements it as one of the best online craps casinos.

Games rating
- Several DraftKings exclusives
- Vast library of slots
- Demo versions available
- Basic filtering system
- No bingo available
DraftKings has a wonderfully extensive game library and puts its own spin on it too! They offer a wide variety and quantity of games with the added benefit of having demos freely available but without sign-up. This includes both their own exclusive games and live dealers.
The combination of demo versions plus the fact that it’s one of the only places that offers craps games makes DraftKings probably the best US casino to learn how to play craps.
Their betting limits are also very varied and are available for every taste. Max bet limits can be anything from $10 and $200 to $1,000 and $7,000, with plenty of games to choose from in all ranges. So far, the highest I have found is a max bet limit of $65,250 on their Lunar New Year Baccarat.
Overall, the DraftKings casino games check almost all the boxes. Their rudimentary game filtering system stands between DraftKings casino and a total score of 100. The games can be sorted into pages with their basic game types, like slots and jackpots, including some categories like Popular, New, and DraftKings games.
Beyond this, we are given a search bar that does a simple word search for game titles. This works alright for the smaller pages, such as their 33 jackpots or seven video pokers. However, their 1,600+ slot games are all on the same page, and unless you know exactly what title you’re looking for, there’s nothing to do but scroll through them all.
From a top-tier casino that decided to offer 2,000+ games in one category, you’d expect more than a bare minimum filtering system.
Software: a total of 22 providers
DraftKings online casino has a great variety of 22 software providers, placing them comfortably above the market average of 10-20. They also provide their own software for their exclusive games and even power their own live casino games.

Available software
Software rating
- Exclusive software
- Great total number of providers
- Known names missing
We have to say, all around, it’s a rather good selection of software on offer at DraftKings.
Six of our 13 top providers are available there, which is rather good – few casinos can afford to license most of the greats. Some notable ones are missing, like Konami, Aristocrat, Betsoft, Novoline, Rival, Playtech, and High 5 Games.
They still have an all-around good software selection and have secured the right to allow demos on all their games, even for non-registered users – which is very good!
DraftKings’ score is very much bumped up by their software, which helps their variety and supports most of their live games, as most of them are DraftKings’ own.
All in all, unless your favorite games happen to be made by missing studios, DraftKings has a software selection that secures a good experience for their players!
Payments: 13 ways to deposit and withdraw
DraftKings offers 13 different ways to make deposits and 11 options for withdrawals.
Their main payment methods are online banking, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, PayPal, Play+, and VIP Preferred.
They also accept electronic gift cards via Visa, and MasterCard, in addition to offering their own DraftKings gift cards or Discover cards.
It’s also possible to pay in cash at participating retail and cage locations (up to $500), at least one of which is open 24/7.

The minimum deposit is market low of $5 for all their payment methods, except wire transfers which have a $100 minimum.
Most have some withdrawal limit, ranging from Play+ at the lowest at $25,000, several at $100,000, and then wire withdrawals have no limits.
The typical withdrawal timeline also varies slightly depending on the payment method, most somewhere around 2-5 days, but you can also have it processed within the hour at participating cage locations.

DraftKings doesn’t have the widest range of payment options, but they still do pretty well. Unless you have a clear favorite way to pay that they’re missing, you’ll have no issues here.
They have six of our ten top payment providers, which is in line with most leading casinos, a few of which have got them all. Being able to deposit and withdraw in person at the cage is an excellent point in their favor.
Their withdrawal minimums for most payment options are zero which is good to see. PayPal requires you to withdraw at least $1, which is still comparatively low. The only other payment option with any withdrawal minimum is via check, which still only requires $15 – and you can hardly hold that against them when they’re sending it by post.
Max withdrawal limits vary by payment option with all except two in the $50,000-$100,000 range. The exceptions are Play+ at $25,000, which is still higher than what will be relevant for most people, and wire transfers, which give no limit at all – covering those cases where a $100,000 limit might be a bother.
Their minimum deposit is only $5, and the only max deposit limit is set by players themselves, which is a boon for player security – not a point against them. They give players a great amount of freedom and flexibility – except for where it is the responsible choice not to.
And for whatever they could be missing, you have to give them credit for how thorough they are in sharing information. Through their help site, their entire payment policy is incredibly transparent, and several examples are also provided to illustrate what the process should look like.

DraftKings casino allows and encourages setting daily, weekly or monthly limits on the amount you deposit into your Draftkings casino account and gives detailed instructions on how to do so.
This security system not only allows you to self-exclude yourself but also allows a third party to exclude on behalf of a customer (i.e., a family member or someone who can prove they have joint financial responsibility and can write into DraftKings)
They also have specific pages explaining who they are regulated by, why fair gaming is essential, and a dedicated page for Responsible Gaming.

Safety rating
- Good security tech
- Extensive fair & safe gambling efforts
- Transparent safety policies
- No land-based establishment
DraftKings casino is a very safe and secure site, and it freely gives transparent information and options to its players. The terms and conditions are easy to find and clarify what players must deal with.
They offer several safe payment options (such as PayPal casinos) and are strict on things like geolocation which makes sure their players are in states where their operations are legal – which shows a dedication to the legal framework they work under.
DraftKings casino makes it clear that it is licensed and legal. It explicitly states that many of its efforts are made to continue its dedication to the legal requirements of organizations like the NJDGE (New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement). This is very good for showing concerned players that they are thoroughly audited.
However, DraftKings has done more than the bare minimum. Their Responsible Gaming pages and pages on fair and safe gambling are elaborate, include additional video content, and seem well-cared for. Fair and safe gambling practices are also mentioned regularly throughout the site.
They have added some securities of their own, such as allowing a third party to self-exclude a customer, provided they can provide the necessary documentation to say they are family or otherwise have joint financial responsibility.
This is an excellent step to not relying entirely on self-imposed limits, allowing a failsafe where someone beyond the players themselves could take the first step.
I’m not entirely content with them simply saying that their RNG algorithms are “independently tested” without specifying further.
Customer support: player help available 24/7
Support at DraftKings casino is available via email, on X (formerly known as Twitter) @DK_Assist, and live chat. Many common questions can be answered through their dedicated help site pages.
There is also a live chat function with a support bot, which will help direct you to the pages that seem relevant to your question. Speaking to a live support operator can be triggered by requesting this from the bot.

It’s good to see that DraftKings casino hit a full score on all our customer service metrics!
They offer support in several ways, including an available email and support ticket system, a callback phone service, FAQs, explanatory tabs on their main site, and a separate help site with extensive information and a live chat option – and they’re even on X (formerly known as Twitter).
There was hardly a single question I could think of that I couldn’t find the answer to on the DraftKings help site. Tables, examples, lists, and pages of data on how it all works, how the process of depositing and withdrawing should look – it is all there.
When tested, the live chat answered quickly, providing links to some pages it had found that could be relevant. On its own, the bot is little more than an advanced search function for all the pages that already exist – but honestly, that is usually all you need, as most information exists on the site. However, before I’d read through its first messages, the bot offered to get me in touch with a real person in case it hadn’t helped.
In less than a minute, I had an answer to my question and they also volunteered some additional information that could be relevant, providing me with a link with further detail on the matter.
The help site is easy to find through their main page. After all, you just click the word “Help” in their footer! Easy, right? Both yes and no, because when you open up the DraftKings casino site, the footer isn’t immediately visible.
Usability – does the player experience stack up?
The DraftKings casino website menu has pages for different game types, featuring other categories like ‘Exclusives’ and ‘New Games’.
The headers and top tabs give access to other pages on the casino, such as their How To Play page and other DraftKings platforms like the Sportsbook and Daily Fantasy.
The DraftKings casino standalone app is available on iOS and Android, offering you an experience nearly identical to the desktop version. The design and interface are similar, except it is clearly built and adapted for mobile, so it is a comfortable user experience.

Their site and app are accessible without registering, including the demos and information about their various services. Their signup is quick, easy, and secure, requiring verification by driver’s license or similar ID.
There are no game filters, and the search bar only enables a plain word search for the titles. Searching for a game type or metadata like the software provider will yield no results.
DraftKings also offers video tutorials helping players who are not only new to the site but casino games in general.
Usability rating
- Good video guides
- Easy signup
- Poor search and filtering
In many ways, it is such a smooth and easily navigable experience – and yet, I can’t entirely get over the lack of a proper filtering system.
With 2,000+ games being in the same category, unable to be filtered any further, it seems a significant oversight when they have expanded their services enough to have that many games in the first place.
As frustrated as I am at their filtering system, it does not seem that bad when going through their site. It’s smooth, easy to navigate, and looks great.
I also very much enjoy how openly they explain their features and their site and even give instructions with tips and tricks on how to play the games themselves. Many of their information pages also have videos, making the information even more accessible.
Apart from that, there’s one issue I’ve already pointed out – the footer. Although it has a lot of helpful information and links like their help page and contact information, this footer is invisible until you scroll down and reach the bottom of the page.
Given the main page starts you off on “All Games”, you end up racing against ever-loading games keeping the footer away from you and out of view. This is easily worked around by clicking over to a smaller grouping if you know what you are looking for. But it still has to be worked around – and not everyone would know it was even there.
