Expert verdict
There’s a lot to like at Stardust casino. It’s got an excellent range of 1,000+ games on both mobile and desktop, as well as a stellar $25 sign-up bonus and a three-part welcome package to get you going.
This doesn’t mean it’s flawless. The wagering requirements are high, and both the site filters and FAQs need a clean-up. The cons however are all overshadowed by the pros, including excellent customer support and a strong native mobile app.
Stardust is a great online casino and will work for all casino players, new and experienced.
States available
Originally the casino started as Pala online casino and was available in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After the buyout and re-branding by the new parent company Boyd Gaming, the casino was changed to Stardust. This meant that the online casino was altered slightly, but the platform itself stayed open in the same states.
This review is based on the Stardust New Jersey online casino platform, and all data is taken from there. For a full list of differences between the states, check out the table below:
Licensed states | Games | Slots | Software providers | Compatible devices | Customer support | Licence provider |

New Jersey | 941 | 884 | 10 | iOS, Android, Web browser | FAQ and help center, email, phone support, live chat, ticketing system | NJDGE |
Pennsylvania | 467 | 414 | 6 | iOS, Android, Web browser | FAQ and help center, email, phone support, live chat, ticketing system | PGCB |
Stardust casino bonuses: $25 sign-up bonus + up to $500
You start with a $25 Stardust casino no-deposit bonus, $20 of which is given to you immediately upon registration. You’ll then win a minimum of $5 on your first spin at the Stardustcasino.com $1,000,000 Slot Machine.
You’ll also receive a three-part welcome package of first deposit matches. These are handed out as follows:
- 100% match up to $250 on the first day (bonus code: FTD250)
- 50% match up to $200 on the second day (bonus code: BONUS2)
- 25% match up to $50 on the third day (bonus code: BONUS3)
Each of these deposit matches is relevant for the first deposit made on their respective day. Failing to deposit on one day will forfeit the bonus for the following days as well. You’ll also need to use a Stardust casino bonus code when making the deposit — FTD250 on the first day, BONUS2 on the second day, and BONUS3 on the third day.
The wagering requirement for both offers is 20x, which is on the slightly high side compared to most online casino bonuses. Only slots contribute towards the wagering requirements, most at 100% but some at 75%.

- Million-dollar weekends, with an extra free spin on Saturdays and Sundays.
- A refer-a-friend program, netting you and your friends incremental sums of money depending on when they register, deposit, and wager.
- Seasonal offers, including deposit matches and free spins during special events like Valentine’s and Thanksgiving
Since Stardust is owned by Boyd Gaming it is also applicable for the Boyd Rewards program, though this is not shown in Stardust’s promo list. All the details and application forms can be found on a separate page accessible from the Stardust games filters.
Bonus rating
- Two welcome offers
- Daily ad weekly offers
- Only slots applicable for wagering requirements
- Rewards program is not listed under promos
You’ll run into plenty of casinos that offer a good welcome bonus, but it’s rare to find one that offers two good ones. Stardust casino starts strong, offering two excellent bonuses right out of the gate.
So why is the score here not higher? Because Stardust sours it with its harsh terms and conditions. 20x wagering requirements are already a bit high, but add the fact that only slots contribute, and even then not all of them 100%, and suddenly the whole thing becomes a slog.
Still, two bonuses are better than one, and Stardust backs it up with promos for existing players as well. You’ll have something new to look forward to every week, and you’ll be constantly spinning for that million-dollar prize pool.
It’s silly that the rewards program is accessed from the game filters instead of the dedicated promos page, but Boyd Rewards is still quite good and worth checking out.

Stardust casino players have a choice of 1,100+ games, ranging from slots, jackpots, blackjack, roulette, video poker, bingo, keno, scratch cards, craps, baccarat, and even one unique table game called Dragon Tiger.
There’s also a selection of 25 live games to choose from, including variations of live blackjack, live roulette, live baccarat, and live craps.

The site does not offer demo play for its games, so you’ll need to place real bets to try the games out.
Game types
Games rating
- Large game library
- Plenty of variation in game types
- No poker
- No demos
Stardust casino boasts a massive games library, with well over 1,100+ games. To compare, Unibet comes in at the 600+ range, so Stardust casino is well above the norm here.
What I especially like about Stardust is the variety. It’s not just 1,000+ slots one after the other, there is a ton of different games here. These include some uncommon options like scratch cards, keno, and bingo.
There are some caveats that stop this from getting a better score. It is weird for an online casino to not have a standard poker option, with only video poker being available. It’s also annoying to not have demos available to try out the main games on display here.
Still, it’s a great offering and overall I have little to complain about here.
Software: 10, including NetEnt

Available software
Software rating
- Top providers available
- Wide variety in the game lobby
- No bespoke software
Stardust casino offers only 10 software providers. While this lineup is respectable, it falls short compared to casinos like Caesars, which offers games from 19 providers.
The good news is that many providers are big names with glitch-free games. It’s also nice to be able to see fan favorites like Starburst make an appearance in this casino.
It’s not a bad compromise, to prioritize quality providers over a large quantity of them. It unfortunately stops Starburst from standing out, and it will need to add a few more to impress the crowd.
Payment methods of Stardust casino
You’ll find nine deposit methods at Stardust casino, these being VISA, Mastercard, Play+, PayPal, PayNearMe, Bank Transfer, Venmo, VIP Preferred, and cash directly at the casino cage. The site also lists wire transfers as an option that is coming soon.

There are fewer withdrawal options, with only six available. These include VIP Preferred, Venmo, Bank Transfer, PayPal, Play+, and cash at the casino cage. You will need to have made deposits with these methods before you can withdraw from them.
It’s also important to note that the FAQs are out of date in this section. Venmo is listed as “coming soon”, yet is available as a withdrawal method. For an accurate list, you will need to check when making a withdrawal. Withdrawals are usually processed within 12 hours.

Payments rating
- No fees
- Fast withdrawals
- Missing withdrawal options
- Payment policy not fully accurate
In the iGaming scene, 6-12 payment providers are roughly the standard. So when I saw Stardust boasting nine payment providers, I was quite happy.
The problems come in with the withdrawal options. Six options are too low, and it’s especially harsh that you need to have deposited with the option before you can withdraw. If you’ve deposited with VISA, then I guess you need to make another deposit cause that money is gone otherwise.
It’s also frustrating to see the terms not be accurate. The terms claim to not have Venmo withdrawals, but the FAQs then have a detailed example of how to withdraw with Venmo. There’s conflicting information on the site, so you’ll need to withdraw to get the most accurate information.
It’s certainly not the worst and there are plenty of great deposit options still available, but I’d like to see Stardust clean up their act a bit here.
Safety at Stardust casino: no red flags
Being part of the established Boyd Gaming brand, Stardust is a reputable online casino with a strong reputation. It boasts a 256-bit SSL encryption to keep your payment information safe and has full transparency with all the terms and conditions easily accessible on the site.
It has licenses in two US states, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These licenses are issued by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board under Borgata Hotel, alongside Borgata, BetMGM, and PartyCasino.

Safety rating
- Plenty of RG tools
- SSL encryption
- RG page can be misleading to get to
Stardust casino is easily one of the safest online casinos on the market. With Boyd Gaming at the helm and strong SSL encryption backing everything up, you’ll have no issue about your money disappearing here.
What makes me especially happy is the abundance of RG tools on display. You have a ton of options to help you if you feel a problem emerging. It’s nice to see a casino that also takes player’s health into account, and not just their wallets.
The only real complaint I have is the misleading way to get to the RG page. You’ll need to click on the RG logo in the footer, the one in the header only gives you some tips and tricks. It’s a bit annoying since the header one is so prominently displayed so you’ll see that first, but it’s also a nitpick.
Stardust customer support: 24/7 availability
Stardust casino has five customer support options. There’s an FAQ and help center, an email address, phone support, live chat, and a ticketing system.

While making this Stardust casino review, we tested the customer support agents several times at different times of the day. The agents were very helpful, giving detailed answers with little need for clarification.
It’s important to note that the FAQs are not always accurate, and have a few questions that are now out-of-date.
Support rating
- Email and ticketing system
- Quick and helpful responses
- Out-of-date FAQs
When it comes to support options, Stardust is easily one of the best on the market. It has plenty of options and operates on a 24/7 basis, meaning you’ll never be stuck on a problem for too long.
I’ve seen plenty of casinos with email options and plenty with a ticketing system, but I’ve never seen a casino that features both. It’s nice to have the choice, and I kind of wish more casinos would have this now.
The only real complaint is the out-of-date FAQs. I’ve highlighted the inaccuracies in the FAQs in other parts of this Stardust casino review, but it’s frustrating to get wrong or old answers to a question I might have. My recommendation: use the live chat, the agents are great.
Stardust usability
Registering at Stardust casino is easy with a speedy sign-up form that only takes around 3 minutes to complete.
Accessing bonuses is equally uncomplicated. Should you require a code, it’s conveniently displayed, and the terms are transparent with no hidden fine print.
Navigation is straightforward, with the site displaying a top bar with filters and a search function, and all the games being prominently displayed below it. The site does not load the entire list of games at once, and will instead load them in as you scroll down.

The filters are not always 100% accurate. You might find some inconsistencies, like table games being present in the slots section. The best way to search for particular games is through the search bar.
Stardust also features a mobile app for Android and iOS, with the full suite of games being available.
Usability rating
- Quick registration
- Native apps
- Inaccurate filters
- Slow loading
There’s not much to complain about here. Stardust has a fairly solid platform, that’s easy and intuitive to use.
When you enter you’ll immediately have all the slots displayed in front of you. You can then slowly scroll down and pick whichever slot strikes your fancy.
I am a bit annoyed at the filters not being 100% accurate. It didn’t happen often, but it was frustrating to see games where they don’t belong. Loading times are also a bit slow, so you can imagine my frustration waiting for slot games to load only to see table games instead.
The mobile app does make up for it, offering a fast and glitch-free experience on both web browser and the native apps. It’s overall a good platform that you should have no trouble using.
