Expert verdict
Harrah’s is well-known in the US gambling market for its multiple land-based venues throughout the US. Unfortunately, its online offering doesn’t come close to the high-class entertainment players have come to expect from the brand.
While the no-deposit bonus, massive games library, and intricate rewards system all work in its favour, the limited software options and lack of live games just doesn’t make the cut when so many similar operators (BetMGM, Tropicana) are going above and beyond to provide more choice and diversity to their players.
The native iOS and Android apps, while not the worst by far, were slow loading at times, and the customer support did take almost 15 minutes to get back to us, which is a few minutes too many.
However, safety and security, fortunately, aren’t an issue at Harrah’s – the operator is fully licensed and encrypted although terms and conditions could be slightly less vague.
Harrah’s in different states
Since its launch back in 2013, Harrah’s online casino is currently still only available to legal residents of New Jersey.
In the meantime, if you live in a state where Harrah’s doesn’t operate, we suggest checking out our top sweeps cash casinos, which are available across the US.
Harrah’s online casino bonuses: $10 no deposit + more
New players can take advantage of a $10 Harrah’s casino bonus with no deposit required. New members simply need to complete the registration process successfully to get this online casino bonus credited to their account. This bonus expires in 7 days and comes with x1 wagering requirements on slots and x5 on all other games.
There’s also a 100% match bonus, which is valid on all first deposits of up to $300 and requires 5x wagering on slots and 25x wagering on all other games before you’ll be able to cash out. The bonus amount will also be released to your account in increments of $10 daily and is valid for 30 days.
Also worth noting is that there’s no need for a Harrah’s bonus code to claim any of the welcome bonuses.

Apart from the bonuses offered to new players, Harrah’s online casino also offers a range of ongoing promotions depending on the time of year, as well as a 4-tiered VIP program that makes use of the Caesars Rewards system. These include:
- Smaller match deposit bonuses (example: Get $20 if you deposit $20)
- Monthly tournaments with cash prizes (Grand prizes up to $30K and beyond)
- Cashback offers
- Free spins bonuses on slots (20-200 free spins offered on a variety of slots)
- Tier credits and rewards via their loyalty program
The loyalty program at Harrah’s online casino allows those who have an existing Caesar’s Rewards account to pair their perks with their online gameplay. This program is highly popular and available at 40 gambling venues worldwide, giving members discounts and access to prestigious events.
Caesars Rewards awards players with two different types of loyalty points – Tier Credits and Reward Credits. The latter essentially can be exchanged for benefits like cashback or perks in land-based Caesars Entertainment venues while Tier Credits are added to your annual Tier Score to boost your Tier Status to Gold, Platinum, Diamond or Seven Stars.
Bonus rating
- No deposit bonus available
- Low wagering requirements
- Low maximum bonus amount
Harrah’s online casino has managed to live up to its name, at least in terms of its bonus program.
Offering both a no deposit bonus on sign-up as well as a first-deposit welcome bonus up to $300, with industry-standard wagering requirements, it’s certainly a breath of fresh air when compared to other operators like Tropicana ($100 max bonus).
With a minimum deposit amount of just $10, you can expect a pretty fair deal here.
Promotion terms could be a bit clearer as they do not explicitly state that players will not receive the total bonus amount in one go, which can be quite bothersome to discover once you’ve already accepted it.
However, the comprehensive Caesars Rewards system is one of the most tempting loyalty programs I’ve come across, allowing you to combine your credits from other Caesars casinos (both online and land-based) to amass more perks in the long-run.
If I’m being honest, you could do much worse than Harrah’s when it comes to bonuses.
Games: 890+ slots, 27 progressives, 47 table games
There are a total of 897 slots available from their desktop platform. Harrah’s also offers top slots like Da Vinci Diamonds.
The table game offering is also excellent, with 47 table games. These include popular games like blackjack and roulette, as well as some video poker and even baccarat.
The lack of a live casino section leaves a large gap in Harrah’s game lobby. It’s also worth noting that there are no bingo or other types of specialty games available at Harrah’s casino.

Games rating
- High-quality games from top providers
- Available in demo mode
- No live casino games available
- No craps or bingo
Games are the backbone of any online casino, and Harrah’s is doing excellently here with its impressive offering.
All games featured are high-quality offerings from leading software providers like NetEnt, IGT, and the like, so there are no trash titles here. They’re also available in demo mode so you can familiarise yourself with the rules of the game before risking any real cash
The lack of NetEnt live casino games is highly disappointing, although this may change further down the line, amid speculations that Harrah’s is working to increase its game offering
Software: eight providers at Harrah’s
Harrah’s game lobby is powered by eight online casino software providers, some of which are well-known brands within the online casino industry (NetEnt, NextGen, IGT). Others, however, are less familiar names that you may not have come across before (Amaya).

All software runs smoothly, with no download necessary – players can access games directly from the website. Most of the games available are high quality, with crisp graphics, immersive sound effects, and quirky bonus games, and in-game free spins to take advantage of.
Since Harrah’s currently doesn’t offer any live dealer games, there is no live software provider.
Available software
Software rating
- Commendable software providers
- Mostly high quality
- No bespoke software
- Several big names missing
Many players may not be aware that software costs money, especially when it’s top-notch. It seems like Harrah’s online casino didn’t have the budget to fork out for all the big names, so they opted for just a select few (NetEnt, IGT) to embellish their modest game lobby as best they could.
While most of the games on offer are admittedly of a high calibre, others do appear slightly dated and glitchy due to their lacklustre software. However, you will be able to come across some less popular titles that are still equally enjoyable.
If you’re not too fussy about specific software providers, you’ll still be able to find some decent titles to engage in at Harrah’s. But if you’re after a little more variety, you may be better off looking elsewhere.
Payments: nine ways to deposit and withdraw
Players will find a total of nine Harrah’s payment methods, with all the most popular banking options to choose from
Payment types offered are: VISA, PayNearMe, Mastercard, Discover, ACH, Online Bank Transfer, PayPal, as well as Caesars Online Play+ Card which is a prepaid card that’s only available at the Caesars’ owned venues Caesars Palace, Tropicana, 888casino, and Harrah’s.
There’s also the option to deposit or withdraw in cash at brick-and-mortar establishments via Caesars Atlantic City Cashier’s Cage.

Withdrawals are currently only available via five of the listed payment methods. Most of these may take up to five business days to be processed before you can access your funds. However, cash at cage withdrawals must be applied for online and can then be collected in person, usually within 24 hours or when approved.
All deposits are instant except PayNearMe (within 30 min) and wire transfer (5-7 business days).
Some withdrawal methods may require valid proof of ID to proceed. Apart from submitting a withdrawal request via the Cashier page, you also have the option to reverse your withdrawal and review your withdrawal history.

Withdrawal methods
Payments rating
- All major payment methods offered
- No fees from the casino
- Payment policy not so transparent
Not having to pay more than you have to is always a plus in my book, which is why Harrah’s scores highly in terms of payment methods thanks to the fact that it doesn’t charge any additional fees for deposits or withdrawals.
While the range of options available isn’t as extensive as other operators all the major ones are there, except for Skrill and Neteller
The only downside is the payment policy which could be a lot more transparent when it comes to the withdrawal verification process.
All in all, though, Harrah’s offers a decent range of secure payment options with great processing times and good minimum and maximum limits, too.

It’s no surprise, therefore, that Harrah’s has pulled out all the stops to ensure that your online gaming experience is a safe one. It has plenty of safety protocols, all explained in their terms of service.

The New Jersey DGE has given Harrah’s the seal of approval, meaning that this operator can be considered safe for use.
Harrah’s allows players to set limits on their accounts to ensure that gambling remains an enjoyable pastime rather than a dangerous vice. These include all the standard features such as deposit and loss limits as well as time limits to reduce the amount of time you spend on your online gambling.
You can also request a cooling-off period or to be self-excluded from the casino. There are also links to relevant helplines for gambling problems and addiction.
Overall Harrah’s dedication to responsible gaming is solid, leaving no cause for concern. Owning several brick-and-mortar venues with the same name is even more reason for Harrah’s not to tarnish its reputation.
Customer support: live chat, email, and phone
Our team tested out each of Harrah’s support channels to assess the quality of their customer service.
When it comes to live chat, the response time recorded was an average of ten minutes. However, the quality of the responses was up to scratch, with the support agents answering all questions posed to them thoroughly and politely.

It took a little longer for us to get hold of an agent over the phone though, with up to 30 minutes of waiting time in the evenings. Native speakers responded each time and tried their utmost to help solve our queries, even offering to call us back at a later time with a more detailed answer.
Harrah’s also provides email support, although they promise to get back to you within 72 hours, which can be a few hours too long for queries that need urgent attention.
Their onsite FAQ section is one of the most comprehensive we’ve seen on the market, with a handy search function and most topics about your online gameplay at Harrah’s covered in detail.
Support rating
- Helpful and knowledgeable agents
- Comprehensive FAQs
- Long waiting times
- Live chat only available after registration
No one enjoys having to deal with customer support whether in online gaming or elsewhere, quite frankly.
While Harrah’s support agents did prove to be knowledgeable and provided helpful responses to all our queries, they did take a while to get back to me. Long waiting times can be frustrating especially when you need to deal with an urgent matter, such as a glitch in gameplay or funds not appearing on your account.
That being said, a little patience goes a long way, and if you can wait up to 15 minutes, you should receive the assistance you need efficiently. Follow-up questions may need to be asked for clarity’s sake, but in general, all support agents were native speakers who listened and understood our queries without much cause for complaint.
Usability: easy registration but tricky navigation
Registering at Harrah’s online casino is neither a lengthy nor an overly complicated process. We timed it, and the entire process took around 10 minutes to complete, including claiming the no-deposit welcome bonus.
However, navigating the site can prove a bit trickier. While games are divided according to category, there is no search function or extensive filtering system as can be found at other NJ online casinos.
Harrah’s online casino is also available as a mobile app. The app is available free for download directly from the online casino’s website and is compatible with virtually all Apple and Android smartphone and tablet devices.
Some users may need to update their security settings to allow the app to install from an unknown source since it’s not available from the App Store or Google Play.
The number of games available on Harrah’s mobile app is limited compared to what’s available on desktop. Some features of the casino also didn’t seem to work within the app, such as the account settings section, and we ended up getting redirected to the browser-based version of the casino.
The app interface could do with a bit of tidying up. Fortunately, real money gameplay and bonuses are fully accessible from the app.

Usability rating
- User-friendly website
- Easy to navigate
- Slow to load
- 1/2 games available on mobile app
I am of the humble opinion that usability can be highly subjective since not all users have the same perceptions.
However, Harrah’s usability, while not quite on par with some of the industry’s top dogs, is quite decent on the whole. The website itself is laid out in vivid colours that are pleasing to the eye and pretty easy to navigate, despite the lack of search function.
Registration and claiming bonuses is also straightforward, although I did feel the lack of a search function, both in terms of the game lobby as well as the site in general. Many online casinos have implemented complex filtering systems, which makes Harrah’s primitive category divisions seem a little basic.
Both Android and iOS apps can be downloaded via the mobile casino tab of the desktop browser, however the mobile app has multiple glitches and crashes and should be avoided until some improvements are made.
