Company history
So how did the company get to where it is today? Founded in 1975, IGT was based in Las Vegas, manufacturing slot machines and other games. In 2014 they were acquired by Gtech — a US gambling company also specializing in lotteries for $6.4 billion. Gtech was acquired by Lottomatica back in 2006 for $4.5 billion, and that is where the De Agostini connection comes from. After the 2014 merger, the name Gtech was dropped in favor of IGT.
