In 2019, the commercial gambling market in the US was worth $79.61 billion and in 2021 this record was smashed with $98.1 billion in revenues. Revenue in 2022 is projected to amount to $105.60bn making it the highest-grossing year in the history of legal gambling in America.

We surveyed nearly 2,000 American sports fans to get their feelings about one of the most divisive elements of their favorite teams: the owners. Held on the first Saturday of May at Churchill Downs, The Kentucky Derby is known as ‘the most exciting two minutes in sport. It is a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbreds at a distance of one and a quarter miles (2.0 km). This year the Derby starts on May 7 and it’s the first of the three races that make up the coveted Triple Crown. It’s followed by the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore and the Belmont Stakes on Long Island later in the year.
