I think one of the main things BigBux has going for it is how easy the format is to understand. Pick from one of 25 available boxes according to your preferences, pay an unboxing fee, and hey presto, youāre guaranteed a prize.
With 395 prizes and unboxing fees ranging from $0.25 to $3,144 per turn, thereās a good balance between high and low-value rewards. Big prizes range from vehicles to luxury watches, expensive clothes, and a whole range of tech items from laptops to consoles and more. Low-value rewards include vouchers, DVDs, and other novelty items.
One big issue is the numbers of higher-value rewards with near-impossible odds. Iām not just talking about luxury watches either, with laptops and consoles often having odds of less than 1%. This can make the format feel a bit too unrealistic and also adds to the repetitive nature of the platform. Plus, with no live chat feature or purchase limits available, I also feel BigBux is underdeveloped in key areas like customer care and player protection.
The interactive P2P Battles do add a cool competitive element, but it doesnāt fully solve the core issues. Overall, BigBux can be fun for a few sessions if you have spare funds and time, but itās ultimately a mystery box platform with plenty of room for improvement.

How does BigBux actually work?

Speaking of XP, these are tied to the BigBux loyalty program. You can earn XP by using the Spin Wheel on available boxes, or by taking part in P2P Battles. If the value of the prize you earn is below the purchase cost, BigBux awards 400 XP for every $1 lost. If the prize value matches or exceeds the purchase cost, no XP is earned.
All players automatically start on Bux Level 0, with 500 XP required to reach the next level. While there are some solid promos on offer, the biggest and most glaring issue is the severe lack of transparency. This includes vague terminology or missing terms.
For one thing, there is no dedicated tab for promotions, and nearly all available information had to be dug out by looking through the platformās general terms of use. Even then, expiration dates and several key bits of information are missing, including what the loyalty program entails.

A platform with no live chat is never a great start. I feel like users should always have access to some form of instant messaging service, especially with newer concepts like mystery box sites.
Thereās also just a lack of options available in general. Card Crush, for instance, is another mystery box platform that does offer live chat support and 24/7 phone assistance.
That said, one area where BigBux comes through is its ticket system. Easy to find and easy to use, the responses I received were clear, well articulated, and most importantly, helpful.
I also thought that the BigBux FAQ section was very laid out. The questions do a good job of covering a range of topics users are most likely to ask, especially when it comes to shipping and costs.
BigBux was also surprisingly active on social media. I sent a message on its Instagram account to confirm whether they had received my ticket. They responded within the hour to confirm that they had already replied to the ticket.

However, the search bar is another story. Like, what are you even supposed to look up? I would have thought that keywords like laptop would have at least produced results for tech-related boxes, but nope, I got nothing. As a result, the search bar lacks functionality.
