Double Spin casino review

Double Spin only launched recently, so I wasn’t expecting to find 988 games, daily rewards, missions, three jackpot pools, and a VIP program already. The welcome offer is $2.99, and there’s an app you can install directly from the casino.

For this Double Spin casino review, I used it in Chrome on macOS and installed the app as well. I went through the games, bonuses, payments and redemptions, tested the support chat and spent some time poking around the Free Center and VIP section.

Expert verdict

Double Spin casino homepage
Time2play Expert Analysis I came away pretty unimpressed with Double Spin. There are 988 games, so the number itself is fine. The problem is how quickly the lobby starts repeating itself when more than half of those games are from KA Gaming and there are only six providers in total.

The promos gave me a bit more to do. I’d take the $2.99 welcome offer, use the free SC and probably poke around the missions for a while. The redemption setup would stop me from putting much money in, though. Double Spin shows one set of limits in the cashier and another in the Sweeps Rules. I really don’t want that question hanging around when I’m trying to cash out.

I might in theory see myself coming back occasionally for the fish games or to claim something free. I just can’t see Double Spin becoming one of the sweepstakes casinos I play regularly, at least now.

Editor's note

This review is based on the operator’s current offer. Data and analysis below are accurate at the time of publishing, but may be subject to change.

State differences

Double Spin is available in most US states, though players in California, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Washington can’t access the casino.

There might also be differences in which games are available depending on your location, as Double Spin reserves the right to restrict certain games in specific jurisdictions. You also have to be physically located in the eligible state to play. The use of VPNs isn’t allowed at Double Spin.

Double Spin casino bonuses

Double Spin’s welcome offer costs $2.99 for 50,000 GC + 5 SC, with no bonus code needed. The seven-day Daily Bonus adds 57,000 GC + 4.8 SC in total:

  • Day 1: 5,000 GC + 1 SC
  • Day 2: 6,000 GC + 0.5 SC
  • Day 3: 7,000 GC + 0.5 SC
  • Day 4: 8,000 GC + 0.5 SC
  • Day 5: 9,000 GC + 0.8 SC
  • Day 6: 10,000 GC + 0.5 SC
  • Day 7: 12,000 GC + 1 SC

There are three Daily Packages: $4.99 for 125,000 GC + 5 SC, $9.99 for 280,000 GC + 12 SC, and $29.99 for 900,000 GC + 38 SC.

The Weekly Subscription also has three levels:

  • Standard: $9.99 for 13.5 SC + 107,000 GC over seven days
  • Premium: $29.99 for 44 SC + 321,000 GC
  • Supreme: $99.99 for 142 SC + 1.07 million GC

Daily Missions include check-ins, 30 spins, 30 SC spins, winning or betting 50 SC, making a purchase and spending at least $10. There are also timed inbox offers, Reward Codes, Lucky Draws, and Grand, Daily and Hourly jackpots, with 0.10 SC going toward the jackpot on every spin.

Referrals pay 0.20 SC when a friend signs up, followed by 1 SC at $50 spent, 2 SC at $200, 3 SC at $500 and 5 SC at $1,000. Installing the sweepstakes app gives 10,000 GC + 0.30 SC, and KYC verification gives 10,000 GC + 0.10 SC.

Double Spin also has a VIP program. In my account, the next tier reward was 10,000 GC + 0.10 SC. I couldn’t find a full tier table or point requirements. SC normally comes with 1x playthrough, while selected promotions can carry requirements of up to 20x.

Bonus rating

88/100 Lots of bonuses, with a few details left vague
  • 57,000 GC + 4.8 SC daily bonus
  • Weekly subscription pays up to 142 SC
  • Selected promos require up to 20x playthrough
  • Subscription rules don’t explain missed claims

The bonuses are probably one of the stronger things at Double Spin. The $2.99 welcome offer is cheap, and Free Center is for sure worth opening when you log in. There’s usually something there to pick up without having to think too much about it.

I still like Crown Coins more for VIP stuff. You get coinback, monthly rewards, birthday rewards, and better perks as you move up, so you have a better idea of what you’re working toward. With Double Spin, I could see the reward for my next VIP level, but that was basically it. Do I get a million SC in the last level? A physical reward of sorts? Who knows.

The 1x playthrough on regular SC is really good, and that’s probably the thing I liked best here. Some promos can come with higher requirements, up to 20x, so I’d check those before claiming them. I also wish the Weekly Subscription explained what happens if you miss a day or whether it renews automatically, because if you’re asking people to pay for something every week, that information really shouldn’t be hard to find.

Games at Double Spin

Double Spin has 988 games, with 900+ slots making up most of the casino. The lobby also has fish and shooter games, arcade-style titles, Mahjong, bingo, lotto-style games, sports-themed games, and a separate Classic Slots section. New, Top Games, Big Win, Animal, and Super Win are used for featured collections.

I counted 10+ jackpot slots, including Jackpot Joker Fever, Jackpot Joker, Ocean King Jackpot, and Fortune King Jackpot. Double Spin also runs Grand, Daily, and Hourly jackpots, with 0.10 SC from qualifying spins going into the jackpot pools.

There are at least five Megaways games: Savage Buffalo Megaways, Sweet Rush Megaways, Lady Wolf of Moon Megaways, Book of Cats Megaways, and Dragon Queen Megaways. I didn’t find any games made exclusively for Double Spin.

The Top Games section includes Mexicaliente, Zeus, Fiesta Clusters, and Thumbelina. There aren’t dedicated blackjack, roulette, or baccarat games, no regular poker games and no live casino. Poker Ways and similar poker titles are slots.

Games can be played with GC or SC. There’s no separate demo mode, so GC is the free-play option. Individual games show their RTP, with examples I found between 96% and 100%, although Double Spin doesn’t give one average RTP for the full 988-game library.

Games rating

79/100 Good game count, but the lobby has obvious gaps
  • 5 Megaways
  • Fish games, arcades
  • No live games
  • No blackjack, roulette, or baccarat

I kept ending up back in the fish games, which probably says something (to me it does). The slots are fine and there are quite a few of them, but the fish shooters, Mahjong, and some of the arcade stuff were more fun for me to mess around with. Then I wanted blackjack. Or roulette. Or really anything with a table, and there’s just nothing there.

I had a better time going through SpeedSweeps for that reason. It has almost 1,500 games, and there are scratch cards, Plinko, fish games, and some table games mixed in, so I didn’t get tired of the lobby as quickly.

Double Spin did get some points back from me with the jackpot games and a few Megaways titles. I played around with those more than the regular slots. Still, after going through all 988 games for this review, I don’t really have one game here that I’m dying to come back and play again.

Software at Double Spin

Double Spin uses six game providers: KA Gaming, BGaming, Spadegaming, BT Gaming, JILI, and Funky Games. KA Gaming supplies by far the biggest menu with 505 games, followed by BGaming with 162, Spadegaming with 112, BT Gaming with 103, JILI with 65, and Funky Games with 41.

Software rating

64/100 Six studios is a pretty small lineup
  • BGaming and Spadegaming included
  • Only six software providers
  • No bespoke Double Spin games
  • No live-casino software

Six providers is where Double Spin really lost me. I like BGaming and Spadegaming, and I’ll happily play JILI or KA Gaming when I’m in the mood for fish games, but 505 KA Gaming titles is a lot of one studio. By the end of it I felt like I’d seen every possible version of a KA game twice.

Before you ask, no, it’s not the number itself. Midas Jackpots also has six providers, so the number alone doesn’t tell the whole story. Around a quarter of its library is made up of Midas Originals, which at least gives you games you associate with that casino. Double Spin has 988 games and nothing of its own yet.

I don’t need 30 providers to enjoy a casino, but I’d definitely trade another hundred KA Gaming titles for a couple of new studios here. And just adding one live provider would do more for Double Spin than making the library any bigger. Take notes, please.

Double Spin casino’s payment options

Double Spin processes purchases in US dollars. GC packages can be bought by credit/debit card or ACH/electronic bank payment. Regular packages range from $4.99 to $499.99, while the welcome package starts at $2.99. Purchased coins can be credited immediately, although external payment delays can affect this.

For prize redemptions, the cashier has PayPal, Cash, and Card, with Visa, Mastercard, and JCB named under the card option. Physical rewards are available separately, including a PlayStation, Apple, and MacBook products.

The cashier gives a minimum redemption of $11 and a maximum of $2,000 per transaction. This doesn’t match their July Sweeps Rules, which give a 100 SC minimum and allow Double Spin to limit redemptions to $10,000 per day. Fees-wise, a $1,000 redemption came with a $30 service charge.

Double Spin doesn’t give an average redemption time or separate processing times for PayPal, cards, or the Cash option. The July Sweeps Rules allow up to 30 days, with redemptions of $500 or more potentially taking longer for verification and security checks.

Identity verification may be required before redemption, including ID, address, and payment checks. Double Spin can also request additional information such as source-of-funds documents.

Payments rating

62/100 Too many questions once you get to cashing out
  • PayPal redemptions available
  • Cashier and rules give different limits
  • No crypto
  • Service charges

PayPal is the reason this section doesn’t score even lower for me. I’d use it, and the physical prizes are a fun extra too. Stormrush is closer to what I’m used to here, with PayPal, Push-to-Card, Cash App, and gift cards, plus redemptions that usually take around 24-48 hours.

Double Spin started losing me once I got into the cashout terms and kept finding different numbers depending on where I looked. By the way, always look at the terms before you start playing!

The newer rules give Double Spin up to 30 days to pay, while the older terms still say 10 business days. That’s a pretty big gap for something as basic as “when do I get my money?” I cashed out early the first time and kept it small. I just wouldn’t want my first test to be with a big SC balance, which says a lot.

Is Double Spin safe?

Double Spin doesn’t have a 2FA option, independent RNG certificate, or third-party trust seal. Players may have to complete KYC before redeeming, including government ID, proof of address, SSN validation, and a biometric facial scan. Double Spin can also ask for source-of-funds or source-of-wealth documents such as bank statements or payslips, and location services have to be enabled for verification.

The sweepstakes are for players aged 18+ or the age of majority in supported US jurisdictions. Double Spin checks location and doesn’t allow VPNs or other location-spoofing tools. Its Privacy Policy also covers payment, account and gameplay information.

Responsible-play tools include daily, weekly, and monthly purchase and SC play limits, a daily time limit of up to 10 hours, and session reminders after two hours and then every hour. Take a Break can be set for 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, while self-exclusion lasts at least six months. Increasing or removing purchase, play, and time limits comes with a three-day cooling period.

Safety rating

69/100 Ok player controls, weak on account security
  • Purchase, play and time limits
  • No 2FA
  • No independent RNG testing certificate
  • KYC can include face scan + SSN validation

The thing that bothered me here was the balance of it. Double Spin is happy to ask for some pretty personal stuff when you verify, so I expected the account security to feel a little more serious, too. That gap stayed in the back of my mind while I was using it.

The limits themselves are useful, especially the three-day wait before you can raise or remove one. Some of them still send you through support and an emailed link though. I’m thinking about Firesevens casino, which does this better with its responsible-play tools handled inside the account and 2FA available as well.

I also couldn’t find any independent RNG testing or trust certification for Double Spin. Put that together with no 2FA, and I’m not especially impressed by the safety setup yet.

There’s also an in-casino Customer Service chat widget powered by AIHELP.NET. I used it during the review and received replies through the CS01 account, although the chat never confirmed whether I was speaking to a human agent. One reply did answer my question about demo play directly.

Double Spin also promotes its Discord community as another place for players to connect. There’s no phone support.

Support & community rating

71/100 The chat helps, but support still feels limited
  • 24/7 support
  • In-casino live chat
  • No phone line
  • AI live chat

I used the AI chat first and, for simple questions, it was actually fine. I asked about demo play and got an answer straight away. If I had a redemption stuck or a charge I didn’t recognize though, I’d want a person.

Double Spin says email is available 24/7 and replies can take up to 12 hours. Twelve hours for a random question, whatever. Twelve hours when your money is involved feels very different. SweepKing’s WhatsApp and 24/7 live chat are much more useful in that situation. More notes to take, Double Spin.

Double Spin works in the browser and also has an app you can install directly from the site. Installing it gives 10,000 GC + 0.30 SC.

Usability rating

90/100 Easy to get around, I just wanted better game filters
  • Mobile app with 0.30 SC reward
  • Game search and favorites
  • No RTP or volatility filters
  • No game-mechanic filters

I installed the app mostly for the 10,000 GC + 0.30 SC, and ended up using it normally after that. Buy, Redeem, rewards, inbox, all the stuff I kept opening was easy to get back to. I also started favoriting games pretty quickly because scrolling through nearly a thousand of them gets old fast.

That’s where I missed the kind of filters I’m used to at McLuck. Sometimes I know exactly what game I want and the search is enough. Or maybe sometimes I just want a certain volatility or RTP range, and Double Spin doesn’t give me that. I spent way more time flicking through game covers than I needed (or wanted) to.

Still, I never really got lost in the casino or had to figure out where something had disappeared to. The navigation itself is easy. Give the lobby a few proper filters and I’d have very little to complain about here.
