Expert verdict

Cider Casino is a great choice if you’re a casual or a mobile-first sweepstakes player, not so much if you’re a high-volume user. The game library of just over 500 games gives enough variety for most players, but the lack of live dealer games means it won’t appeal to players looking for a full casino-style experience.

Still, having fully native apps for both iOS and Android at launch sets the platform apart from many newer sweepstakes casinos that rely solely on mobile browsers. Add to that their progressive web app (PWA), and you get a seamless experience regardless of how you decide to use it.

That said, the lack of live dealer games is a noticeable gap. For players who enjoy real-time blackjack or roulette, Cider Casino will feel limited compared to other platforms. The smaller provider list also means the slot library can start to feel familiar after some time.

Compared to larger platforms like Chumba Casino, Cider Casino seems to focus on a clean experience and clear promotional structure rather than scale. And for players looking for a straightforward mobile sweepstakes platform with reliable apps and consistent promotions, Cider Casino is definitely worth exploring.

State differences

Cider Casino is available to players in most of the US. However, it’s restricted in Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Washington in the US

In California and New York, Cider Casino operates on a different model. Instead of Sweeps Coins, players use Splash Coins, which are not redeemable for cash prizes. The players in those states can participate in gameplay but cannot redeem winnings.

How does Cider Casino work?

Cider Casino operates under a sweepstakes model, so no purchase is necessary to participate, and all gameplay is governed by its Sweepstakes Rules and Terms of Service.

The platform uses two types of virtual currency, Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). GC have no monetary value, while SC can be redeemed for real money with a conversion rate of 1 SC equaling $1. Players need to accumulate at least 100 SC and meet a 1x playthrough requirement before they can redeem their SC.

SC can be earned through the welcome bonus, promos, purchasing GC packages, or by winning them during gameplay.

Cider Casino bonuses and promotions

Cider casino offers a welcome bonus of 10,000 GC and 0.3 SC upon registration, with no promo code needed. It also runs a daily progressive bonus, starting from 10,000 GC and 0.3 SC on the first day, and scaling up to 100,000 GC and 0.6 SC on day 7.

Players can also complete daily missions, which typically involve simple in-game tasks such as spinning a slot a set number of times in exchange for additional GC and SC.

The platform offers a referral bonus that can reward up to 200,000 GC and 60 SC, once a referred player registers and completes a qualifying purchase. You receive 50,000 GC and 10 SC once your referral completes up to $30 in GC purchases, and an additional 150,000 GC and 50 SC if their total GC purchases reach $500.

Users can also request 2 SC per approved mail-in entry using a generated postal code. Cider Casino also offers an optional first-purchase promotion on select Gold Coin packages, where players can receive a bonus such as 4 million GC and 200 SC with a 120% boost.

At the time of writing, Cider Casino does not offer a loyalty or VIP program, tournaments, cashback promotions, or seasonal promotional campaigns.

Bonus rating

86/100 Strong daily rewards, small welcome bonus
  • Progressive daily rewards
  • High referral bonus
  • SC amounts low
  • No VIP program

I like how easy it is to understand the bonus structure at Cider Casino. I didn’t have to dig through terms or calculate values just to figure out what I was actually getting, which is something I really appreciate, especially in the sweepstakes space where promos can get overly complicated.

That said, the welcome bonus at Cider Casino felt underwhelming, especially compared to other sweepstakes casinos like WOW Vegas, which offer much larger bonuses. With just 10,000 GC + 0.3 SC awarded at sign-up, it felt like I didn’t have enough to really test the platform fully.

What I like about the daily login streak is the clear structure: rewards start at 10,000 GC + 0.3 SC on Day 1 and scale up to 100,000 GC + 0.6 SC by Day 7. Some players report higher SC totals after extended streaks, but growth is gradual. So if you’re here to stay, you’ll do well, but Cider Casino is not for players chasing large one-time promos.

Where the bonus structure feels weaker is the lack of any kind of loyalty/VIP program. Unlike platforms such as Chumba or Pulsz, which offer visible status levels, boosted daily rewards, or redemption perks for high-activity players, Cider  Casino currently treats all users the same regardless of play volume.

Games at Cider Casino

Cider Casino offers 500+ games, with the library focused mainly on slots and fishing-style arcade titles. The platform also includes a small selection of table games, such as blackjack variants, but doesn’t offer any live dealer games.

Fishing-style arcade games use real-time, skill-based mechanics where players aim and fire at moving targets to earn GC and SC rewards. Most games support both GC and SC play modes,, with minimum and maximum spin values and payout details displayed directly within each game interface.

Games rating

80/100 Slot-heavy library, no live dealer games
  • Niche arcade games
  • Fish games available
  • No live games
  • Limited table games

The game library at Cider Casino feels very clearly built around slots. With just over 500 titles, it’s not competing with massive catalogs you’ll find at platforms like SpinPals or WOW Vegas.

Where Cider Casino stands out for me is the fishing-style arcade games from TaDa Gaming, which I really enjoyed playing. These are a refreshing break from traditional reel slots, and I like that they’re action-oriented, so you can hop in for some excitement if slots aren’t doing it for you and you need a change of pace.

That said, the lack of live dealer games is a big downside for me. I’ve gotten used to having at least blackjack or roulette available in a live format at most sweepstakes platforms. Without that, Cider Casino feels more like a slots site than a full casino-style experience.

The table games that are available are fine, but limited. You’ll run out of them pretty quickly. And there are no exclusive games, which would differentiate the platform from the sea of new sweepstakes casinos out there, so it really does make it seem like “just another slots site.”

Over 15 providers at Cider Casino

Cider Casino’s game library includes titles from over 15 providers, including RubyPlay, Playson, Kendoo, Reelplay, 3 Oaks Gaming, and TaDa Gaming. The platform doesn’t currently offer any bespoke or exclusive games.

There are no live game software providers on the platform either, as Cider Casino doesn’t offer any live dealer games. All games are run directly in the browser or mobile app, and players don’t need any downloads to access the full library.

Software rating

80/100 Trusted providers, but limited variety
  • Trusted slot studios
  • Mobile-friendly providers
  • No live gaming software
  • No exclusive studios

From a software standpoint, I noticed right away that Cider Casino is working with a smaller number of providers compared to sweepstakes casinos like WOW Vegas or SpinPals, which feature over 25 providers.

So from the get-go, I felt like the game variety here would be much lower, and I was right. My sessions were dominated by standard video slots and a few fishing arcade games, with very little in terms of experimental slots or exclusive formats.

What I missed most was the absence of any kind of exclusive or in-house content. Many sweepstakes casinos are starting to introduce branded games or originals as a way to stand out, and without that, Cider Casino doesn’t really give you that “you can only play this game here” reason to stay.

That being said, the providers Cider Casino does team up with, like RubyPlay and 3 Oaks Gaming, are pretty respected, so I’m sure you won’t have any issues in terms of gameplay.

Cider Casino payment options

Cider Casino supports four payment options for purchasing GC packages, including Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards, as well as PayPal and bank transfers.

Prize redemptions of SC can be requested via PayPal and ACH once players meet eligibility requirements. To qualify for redemption, you must have a minimum of 100 SC, complete a 1x playthrough requirement, and verify your identity through Cider’s KYC process. Gift card redemptions aren’t available.

Payments rating

78/100 Instant purchases, but redemptions can take a while
  • PayPal available
  • Instant purchases
  • Long redemption times
  • No gift cards

When I went in to buy currency packs at Cider Casino, I found the basics were pretty well covered. The platform supports credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal and ACH. Personally, I love the convenience of PayPal, and each platform that offers it right away has a special place in my heart.

The purchases are instant, and you’ll get your GC right after checkout, which makes it easy to jump straight back into play.

Where I felt things slow down a bit was on the redemption side. Again, I love the option of redeeming prizes to my PayPal, but the wait is on the heavier side, up to 5 business days. If you’re using a bank transfer, that can be prolonged to up to 10 days, which isn’t ideal when you’re looking to enjoy your wins.

Add to that the 100 SC minimum requirement, and no gift card options, and the redemption process starts feeling a bit limiting.

Compared to bigger sweepstakes platforms like Chumba or Pulsz, which often process redemptions in just a few days, Cider’s payout window felt more tedious to me. I wouldn’t call it a dealbreaker here, it’s just one of those things where you should know what to expect if you plan on redeeming frequently.

How safe is Cider Casino?

The security measures at Cider Casino include HTTPS connectivity and 256-bit SSL encryption to protect player data. The platform applies geoblocking technology to restrict access from outside of the allowed territories.

Account access and redemption require multi-step verification, and players must complete identity checks.

Responsible play tools are available through the account settings, including self-exclusion for six months, one year, three years, five years, or indefinitely, plus daily, weekly, or monthly limits on GC purchases and SC gameplay.

Lowered limits apply instantly, while increases require a 72-hour cooling-off period. Players can also review up to six months of purchase, redemption, and play history from their dashboard.

Cider Casino doesn’t display any third-party RNG audit seals. The game providers it teams up with are trusted though, so the games will have audited RNGs.

Safety rating

78/100 Solid protections, but no RNG seals
  • 4 RG tools available
  • Multi-step verification
  • No RNG seals
  • No third-party audits

From my perspective, Cider Casino covers all the basics of what I expect from a sweepstakes platform when it comes to player protection. SSL encryption, geoblocking, and mandatory verification before redemptions give off a sense that the platform takes compliance and account security seriously.

What stood out in a positive way was the inclusion of responsible play tools. Being able to set limits, self-exclusion, and review account history straight from the dashboard makes it easy to track activity and take a step back if needed. It’s something I value more and more as new sweepstakes platforms emerge.

Where it falls behind, in my view, is transparency. There’s no visible information about independent RNG testing or third-party audits, which I look for, even if they’re not standard across the sweepstakes space. Platforms like Funzpoints or LuckyLand Slots tend to be more open about these aspects, so Cider Casino is missing out on building more trust with its player base.

So overall, Cider Casino is compliant, but it isn’t pushing the envelope on safety. It’s functional and legitimate, but it doesn’t offer the level of transparency that separates the best from the rest.

Support at Cider Casino

Cider Casino offers customer support via live chat and email. Live chat is available 24/7 and initially connects you to an automated chatbot, before escalating to a human support agent if needed.

Email support is available at [email protected]. Responses through email typically take up to 24 hours, depending on how complex your issue is.

Support rating

87/100 Helpful support, but you can’t get them on the phone
  • 24/7 live chat
  • Email support
  • No phone support
  • Basic FAQ

Customer support at Cider Casino is accessible and helpful for most general issues. In my experience, live chat tends to connect to a real person pretty quickly, and the agents are able to answer typical questions about the platform and solve simple issues easily.

For more detailed or account-specific issues, I was leaning more towards email. While waiting up to a day for a reply isn’t ideal, the email responses I received felt more thorough than what I got through the chat. So if you have a very specific issue, a bit of patience pays off.

That said, more complex issues can take longer to resolve, and here is where phone support would come in handy. While I’m not expecting phone support on sweepstakes platforms most of the time, when you’re dealing with things like verification or redemptions, it can make a big difference.

Their FAQ section covers the basics, but I thought it could be expanded to reduce the need for support contact in the first place.

Usability of the Cider Casino platform

Players can access Cider Casino through desktop browsers, native mobile apps for iOS and Android, and a progressive web app (PWA) that can be installed directly from a mobile browser. The PWA mirrors the functionality of the native apps while using less storage.

Usability rating

92/100 Excellent mobile experience, but basic filters
  • Full mobile library
  • Progressive web app
  • Basic filters
  • Limited search

Usability is honestly one of the things that Cider does best. I really like the fact that you’re not locked into a browser-only experience, since you get native mobile apps, and even a progressive web app. This puts it ahead of a lot of sweepstakes casinos that can feel half-built on mobile.

Moving around the site felt pretty simple and predictable. Your GC and SC balances are always visible, switching between them is easy, and everything important is exactly where I expected it to be. And most importantly for me, I can jump between desktop and mobile without having to relearn the layout.

The only slight issue is discovery. With over 500 games available, scrolling through categories can start to feel tedious. The lack of deeper filters, like searching by type, volatility, or mechanics, made me scroll more than I feel like I should. Compared to some larger platforms with more advanced sorting and filtering, Cider’s interface is streamlined but not very powerful.

But that’s really a small issue compared to how functional the platform is, and the fact that I can get an app-like experience without ever installing the full native app is something that really sets Cider Casino apart.
