The feature starts with 3 respins on the middle 4 rows of a 6×8 grid. Prize and modifier symbols stay locked, and every new symbol resets the counter to 3. The other 4 rows begin locked, although symbols can already land behind them.

I rolled my eyes with Money Train 4 quite a few times, mostly because the bonus can look huge and still finish with a pretty normal win. There can be several modifiers going off, rows opening, values changing, and then the total is nowhere near. Still, I kept playing it, so clearly it was doing something right.
Regular spins were the weak point for me. The random respins helped, though most of the time I was just hoping to get into Money Cart. I can understand why some players go straight for the buy button with this one, even though I would still keep the bet low and trigger it normally.
I still prefer Money Train 2 overall because it’s just easier to follow. Money Train 4 is much more chaotic, and sometimes it goes too far, but not in a bad way. The brighter base game also gives it a different look from Money Train 3, so at least it feels like a proper sequel.
