Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah was released by Games Global in 2024, adding the legendary Mega Moolah progressive jackpot to the classic Break Da Bank Again slot from 2008.

Like its predecessors, the medium-volatility slot features a simple 5×3 grid setup with 9 fixed paylines. There’s also a base game max win of 4,388x your stake, but the highlight of the slot is the chance to trigger the jackpot that starts at $2 million. In this Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah review, I’ll walk you through everything from the free spins and wild multipliers to the massive jackpots.

Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah review summary

Games Global takes the classic bank-heist slot and combines it with the world’s most famous progressive jackpot mechanic. The result is the same simple 5×3, 9-payline slot from the original Break Da Bank Again, now with a chance to win millions of dollars from the Jackpot Bonus.

The visuals remain basic, the gameplay is fast, and the only in-game feature is free spins with a 5x multiplier, plus wilds that multiply wins by 5x in the base game and 25x during bonus rounds.

What makes Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah different from the non-jackpot version is obviously the chance at a Mega Jackpot starting at $2 million. That’s the kind of prize that makes you overlook the very low 92% RTP, 4,388x max base game payout, and limited features.

So if you’re a jackpot chaser and dream of life-changing wins, this might be the slot for you. But don’t go expecting regular payouts along the way, as the odds aren’t as generous as in other games.

Pros

  • Mega Moolah jackpot wheel

  • 25 free spins with 5x multiplier

  • Wild wins multiplied by 5x

Cons

  • 92% below-average RTP

  • Limited bonus features

  • Outdated graphics

Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah comprehensive review

Before you try your luck at massive payouts, take a few moments to go through my detailed Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah slot review, where I break down the RTP, what the medium volatility means for you, the bonus features, symbols, and how to play.

RTP and volatility

The Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah RTP is 92%, which is well below the industry average of 96%. It is a medium-volatility game with a base game maximum win of 4,388x the stake, plus the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot. It runs on 5 reels, 3 rows, and 9 fixed paylines.

Time2play Expert Analysis

Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah is not the game to play if you don’t have patience. The 92% RTP is weak on paper, and in my test session, the base game also felt dry compared with many medium-volatility slots.

I did notice a slight change in my fortune when I bumped up the bet size, even managing to hit the 5x base game multiplier and Jackpot Bonus a couple of times to land payouts worth hundreds of dollars. Throughout my play at low stakes, the multiplier didn’t appear once.

I get that the game is meant for players who have their eyes set on the flashy numbers Mega Moolah offers, but it wouldn’t hurt to score a couple of decent wins in the base game on the grind towards glory. It also doesn’t help that the free spins bonus hardly ever triggers, both at high and low stakes.

Bonus features

Despite being released in 2024, Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah is an old-school title that doesn’t overload you with features. The main draws are the free spins round and the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot. There’s also a wild symbol that adds multipliers in both the base game and the bonus round.

Free spins

Land 3, 4, or 5 vault scatter symbols to trigger 15, 20, or 25 free spins, respectively. All wins during the free spins round are multiplied 5x, and every additional scatter that lands awards an extra free spin.

Wild symbol

The Break Da Bank Again logo is the wild, substituting for all symbols except the scatter. If the wild is part of a win in the base game, the payout is multiplied by 5x. If this happens in the free spins round, you get a 25x multiplier. You can also get an instant 833.33x for landing three or more wilds.

Mega Moolah jackpot

The Mega Moolah jackpot prizes are displayed next to the grid, and beneath it is an open vault. As you spin the reels, progressive trigger coins that land are sent to the vault, and when it fills up, the Jackpot Bonus round is triggered. Now you have to spin the bonus wheel for a chance at hitting any of the following:

  • Mega: Starts at $2 million
  • Major: Starts at $10,000
  • Minor: Starts at $100
  • Mini: Starts at $10

The higher your bet, the faster the vault fills up. If you trigger the jackpot and free spins bonus at the same time, the bonus wheel is displayed first. You cannot trigger the jackpot in the free spins round.

Time2play Expert Analysis

I’ll be direct: the free spins feature is nothing special. It may sound like a lot of fun with its 15–25 spins and 5x multiplier, but on a 92% RTP slot with only 9 paylines, this doesn’t create the type of big wins you’d hope for.

Also, the feature hardly ever triggers; I only managed to play it once during my session, and that was after hundreds of spins. I walked away with 45x my bet, which wasn’t worth the wait. The limited retrigger potential is the problem. Extra scatters add only one extra spin each, so the round can still end quickly.

What I did like was how often the Mega Moolah jackpot bonus came up. While I only went as high as Minor, I triggered the wheel at least six times during my play. Even if the odds might not have been in my favor, I like that I did at least get to dream with a few decent payouts to settle me at the end.

Symbols and paytable

As you’d expect from a bank-heist slot, the premium symbols are the valuables you’d find inside a vault. There are gold coins, a check, a stack of money, gold bars, and a purple gemstone. The low-paying symbols are the standard card royals in colorful fonts.

The paytable features 10 regular symbols, a wild, and a scatter. Wins start from the leftmost reel and pay left to right on adjacent reels along 9 fixed paylines.

Time2play Expert Analysis

The Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah paytable promises a lot, particularly the purple gemstone paying 166.67x for a five-piece win, but landing five premium symbols on 9 fixed paylines with a 92% RTP is rare. During my sessions, I never even got four gemstones, let alone five. The best I managed was four gold bars, which paid 12x on a $1.08 bet.

The wilds did come up for me a couple of times, even returning 33x on one occasion. Without that boost, the base game would feel painfully dry.

I did like that scatters pay 2x for just two anywhere on the reels. It’s a small touch, but at least you get to see small rewards for near-misses on the free spins round, which happen quite often.

Expert verdict

I don’t expect Break Da Bank Again Mega Moolah to win any awards for its graphics or even its features, given that it is an old-school game that Games Global decided to slap a massive jackpot on.

The game is repetitive, the 92% RTP is very low, and you only have 4,388x to look forward to in the base game. The only reason you’d want to play this slot is the Mega Moolah jackpot. Only the Major and Mega tiers start at five figures or higher, with the Major starting at $10,000 and the Mega starting at $2 million.

But you have to remember you’re paying for that chance with a house edge nearly double what you’d find on most well-designed modern slots. You’ll likely lose your money faster, so if you don’t have the patience to endure long dry spells in the grind for glory, this is not the game for you.
