Immortal Romance Mega Moolah review summary

The Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot has retained everything from the original Immortal Romance slot, including its 2011 visuals. For players who enjoyed the original slot, the visuals will feel nostalgic, even if they’re now dated. All the same, the detailed symbols, the vampy background track, and the gothic style are well associated with the Immortal Romance series.

The bonus features is where this slot really stands out. All the bonus features from the original slot have been included, which means four free spins options, each with different additional features, and the Wild Desire feature, too. Plus, there’s now the addition of the Mega Moolah progressive jackpots, which takes this slot to the next level.

From a technical level, this edition of the slot is different. We’re now looking at a high volatility slot paired with a 86.73% RTP. Although there are 243 paylines, this combination makes it a high-risk game that’s not likely to pay out frequently.

Pros

  • Lucrative free spins options

  • Four progressive jackpots

  • 12,000x maximum win

Cons

  • 86.73% RTP with high volatility

  • High minimum bet of $0.30

  • Low maximum bet of $18

Immortal Romance Mega Moolah comprehensive review

I unpack all the details on the Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot. That includes the slot’s RTP, its volatility, bonus features, symbols, and payouts. I also explain how the slot works and how to get started.

RTP and volatility

The Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot RTP is 86.73%, as a portion of the RTP goes towards the Mega Moolah jackpot feature. The exact percentage isn’t defined.

CategoryDetails

Maximum win12,000x

VolatilityHigh

The slot also has high volatility, 243 ways to win, and is played on a 5×3 grid.

Time2play Expert Analysis

While everything about this slot has almost stayed the same (apart from the addition of a jackpot), this is one of the areas where the Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot is the most different.

The original Immortal Romance slot had an RTP of 96.86%, which is above average. Here, it’s way below average at 86.73%. While that’s due to the jackpots, it’s still not a friendly RTP, and it’s been paired with high volatility. The original slot had medium volatility. The saving grace here is the 243 ways to win, which encourage more frequent wins.

All the same, this isn’t a slot I’d recommend for beginners or budget-conscious players. This one is for high-risk and high-rollers.

Bonus features

Immortal Romance Mega Moolah has kept all its classic bonus features from the original game, meaning there are multiple free spins rounds, multipliers, Wilds, and more. Plus, I can’t ignore the addition of four progressive jackpots.

Wild

The Immortal Romance logo is the Wild symbol, and it substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. If it completes a winning line, it also adds a 2x multiplier. If, however, it forms a winning line with no other symbols, the multiplier isn’t added. Wild symbols don’t appear during the Wild Desire bonus game.

Scatter

The Scatter symbol is the lion doorknocker. It can appear on any reel and awards its own win values, based on your current bet. If three Scatter symbols appear on the reels, it awards a free spins bonus. It doesn’t appear during the Wild Desire bonus game.

Wild Desire

This bonus is randomly activated. When triggered, it can turn up to five reels into Wild reels. The progressive jackpot can’t be triggered while the Wild Desire feature is active.

Chamber of Spins

The Chamber of Spins is triggered when three or more Scatters land on the reels, taking you to the bonus menu with four options to choose from: Amber, Troy, Michael, and Sarah. Initially, you’ll only be allowed to play the first bonus, but through further Chamber of Spins activations, you’ll unlock the remaining games.

The progress bar at the top shows how many more rounds need to be triggered to unlock the remaining free spins bonuses. The progressive jackpot can’t be triggered during this feature.

Amber

This is the first free spins bonus available in the Chamber of Spins. It awards 10 free spins and all wins during this free spins round come with a 5x multiplier. The free spins can also be retriggered.

Troy

The next free spins bonus awards 15 free spins and comes with the Vampire Bats feature. This is awarded on every win, except for Scatter wins. With the Vampire Bats feature, random symbols are transformed into a Wild symbol with a multiplier that can reach up to 6x. Free spins can’t be retriggered with this bonus.

Michael

This bonus awards 20 free spins with the Rolling Reels feature. The tumbling reels are triggered with every win, which also includes a multiplier. The multipliers increase by one each time, up to a maximum of 5x. This continues until you don’t have a win. Free spins can’t be retriggered.

Sarah

The fourth and final free spins bonus awards 25 free spins. When 2, 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols appear, you’ll earn 1, 2, 3, or 4 additional free spins, respectively. This bonus also includes the Wild Vine feature, where one symbol on the third reel can transform up to 15 symbols into Wilds.

Mega Moolah Progressive Jackpot bonus

There are four progressive jackpots attached to the Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot. With every spin, an undefined portion of your bet contributes to the jackpots. With some spins, progressive trigger coins are attached to symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4, which leave the reels to join the jackpot image in the game window. This builds up over time until the Mega Moolah bonus game is randomly triggered.

This shows a wheel, divided into coloured segments: one for each jackpot. Click the wheel to spin it. When the wheel stops spinning, you’ll win whichever jackpot it stops on. If a jackpot is won, all the players currently playing the game will be notified, and the jackpot resets. If the jackpot is triggered at the same time as a free spins round, the jackpot game plays out first.

Jackpot starting values:

  • Mini starts at $10
  • Minor starts at $100
  • Major starts at $10,000
  • Mega starts at $2,000,000
Time2play Expert Analysis

The same opinion I had when I reviewed the original Immortal Romance slot still stands: this game has a bounty of bonus features. The available bonuses are the same as the original slot, with the addition of the Mega Moolah progressive jackpots, which is a massive inclusion considering the bonus section of this game is already so loaded.

There are two other slot series I can think of, which are similarly loaded with bonus features: the Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania series and the Reactoonz series.

Sadly, the same issues from the Immortal Romance slot remain: it takes too long to unlock all the bonuses. That’s where Lucky Larry and especially Reactoonz have the edge, as it’s much easier to trigger their bonuses.

Symbols and paytable

There are 14 paying symbols in Immortal Romance Mega Moolah, including the Wild and the Scatter. Wins are awarded for left-to-right adjacent symbols, with 243 ways to win.

The lowest-paying symbols are the card symbols: 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. The 9 and 10 have the same payout values, awarding $0.20 for three symbols and $4 for five when the bet is set to $1.20.

The J and Q also carry the same payout values, showing a very small increase. For these, you’ll get $0.28 for three symbols and $5 for five when the bet is $1.20. It’s the same story for the K and A, but for five symbols, it’s a payout of $6.

The middle symbols are the books with wine and the castle symbols. The castle symbol is worth double the K and A, paying out $12 for five symbols on a bet of $1.20.

The four character symbols are high-paying symbols, each one awarding different payouts. Amber and Troy’s symbol will award $0.80 for three symbols on a bet of $1.20, but for five symbols it’s $14 and $16, respectively.

Michael and Sarah’s symbols have the same payout values for three symbols, awarding $1.20 when the bet is $1.20. For five, it’s $18 for Michael and $20 for Sarah. The Immortal Romance logo awards a payout of $60 for five symbols, putting it way above Sarah’s symbol in terms of value.

The highest-paying symbol in the game is the Scatter. It’s also the only symbol that awards a win for two symbols. When the bet is $1.20, that payout is $1.20; for three, it’s $2.40; for four, it’s $24, and for five Scatters, it’s $240. On the max bet of $18, that value is $3,600.

The Immortal Romance Mega Moolah slot has a maximum win of 12,000x your bet, which is independent of the progressive jackpots.

Time2play Expert Analysis

Despite having such a limited bet range, Immortal Romance Mega Moolah is a slot that pays out well, and with a win potential of 12,000x your bet, this is definitely one for high-rollers.

Compare it with NetEnt’s Vegas Night Life slot, for instance. The maximum bet there is $100, and the highest paying symbol can pay out $1,500. On this Immortal Romance slot, with a maximum bet of $18, you can get $3,600. No contest.

The Scatters are also a great way to earn wins when there otherwise might not be any adjacent symbols, especially since you only need two for a win.

Press the spin button the right side of the game window to get the reels going. Above it, there’s the autoplay button and the turbo spin button, which takes spins down to 1.5 seconds.

Underneath the spin button, there’s the bet button. Pressing this opens up the betting options, which start at $0.30 and end at $18. Expert verdict

This slot is a great follow-up to the original Immortal Romance slot, if you’re a player looking for a game with more edge. If you don’t want such a high-risk game, stick with the original Immortal Romance slot or check out its sequel.

This is not a slot with an impressive bet range, but it is one that delivers on bonus features. The Wild Desire feature can be highly lucrative, since it can turn all the reels into Wilds, and the free spins options all offer something different and innovative. It’s an engaging game. The Mega Moolah progressive jackpots really boost the overall expectations, even if you’re not that likely to randomly trigger one.

This slot’s RTP and volatility do need to come with a warning, though. Such a low RTP paired with high volatility, even if there’s a progressive jackpot involved, is not for inexperienced players and requires cautious budgeting.
