Vegas Night Life slot review summary

Visually, the Vegas Night Life slot isn’t doing anything outside of the box, giving us a typical Vegas-style game. That being said, it still looks great, with well-timed and smooth animations, including the Ferris wheel rotating in the background and the soft glow of Lady Liberty’s torch. The background track is also a cool blend of funky synth.

While the slot is very standard in many ways, it certainly delivers on bonus features. Wilds, multipliers, and free spins are always good to have, but it’s the Cash Stacker feature that steals the show. It’s the most lucrative one in the game, especially since it has the potential to award all three of the jackpots.

As for specs, this is a medium volatility slot with a 96% RTP, giving you a fairly balanced online slot with semi-frequent wins. The 20 paylines are good, though they don’t encourage a high hit rate.

Pros

  • Lucrative Cash Stacker feature

  • 96% RTP

  • Free spins with 3x multiplier

Cons

  • Five free spins minimum

  • Average wins are small

  • Max wins not ideal for high-rollers

Vegas Night Life comprehensive review

My Vegas Night Life slot review breaks down the key elements of this slot. I discuss the slot’s RTP, volatility, bonus features, and the symbols and their respective payouts. Plus, I explain how to get started playing the slot and how it works.

RTP and volatility

NetEnt’s Vegas Night Life slot RTP is 96%.

It’s also got medium volatility and 20 paylines, played on a 5×3 grid.

Time2play Expert Analysis

The Vegas Night Life slot keeps things very classic. The 5×3 format is a very standard layout, along with 20 paylines, which is quite common. As for its RTP, 96% is just right. It’s the industry average and helps make the game fairer.

The volatility is good, too, and I’d say it even leans towards low-medium, rather than medium. I felt the wins were frequent enough, but they’re not that big. Thanks to the volatility, the bonus features triggered fairly frequently, too. All together, these details make the Vegas Night Life slot a decent game for less experienced players.

Bonus features

There are five bonus features on the Vegas Night Life slot, each of which plays a key role in the game.

Bonus featuresWilds, Scatters, Pick Me, Cash Stacker, Free spins, Multipliers, Cash Stacker, Instant Win, fixed and progressive jackpots

Wild

The Wild symbol, which is the word “Wild”, can substitute for all symbols in the game, except for the Scatter. Wilds appear in both the main game and in free spins.

Scatter

The Scatter symbol is a black and white poker chip with the word “Scatter” on it. When three or more of this symbol land on the reels, the chips turn into “Pick Me” symbols. Players need to click on one of the symbols to reveal which bonus feature they’ve been awarded. There are three options: Free Spins, Instant Win, and Cash Stacker. Extra Scatter symbols increase the rewards given in the bonuses.

Free Spins

Three Scatters awards five free spins, four awards 10, and five awards 20. The free spins round will play out, using the same bet as the base game. During the free spins, all bet line wins are multiplied by a 3x multiplier.

Instant Win

With this feature, once the Pick Me symbol flips over, the player is awarded a random win. The win is between 7.50-250x the current bet. The win can be multiplied by two once or twice, depending on whether the Instant Win bonus was triggered by four or five Scatters. If it was triggered by three, no multiplier is applied.

Cash Stacker

During this bonus feature, the grid shifts from 5×3 to 1-3-5-5-5-5-5. Once it starts, only Cash Stacker symbols will fall onto the grid, dropping to the lowest, empty symbol positions. The symbols fill up the rows until all the spins are completed. You’re awarded three spins at the start. The number of spins resets to three with every Cash Stacker symbol that lands on the reels.

Each Cash Stacker symbol is assigned a random cash value of 0.25-15x the current bet. When rows 2, 3, 4, or 5 are filled, the values assigned to those rows are multiplied by a 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x multiplier, respectively.

If reel 3 is filled with Cash Stacker symbols, the progressive Mega Jackpot is awarded. 3.7% of every bet contributes to the jackpot. When reel 2 is filled, the Mini Jackpot is awarded, which is 10x the current bet. If reel 4 is filled, it’s the Midi Jackpot, which is 30x the current bet.

Time2play Expert Analysis

For what’s otherwise a very standard slot, I really liked the bonus features. NetEnt did a lot with a little, giving us multipliers, free spins, Wilds, instant cash wins, and, of course, the highlight: the Cash Stacker bonus. What’s also great is that although there are three main features, they’re not hard to trigger. In fact, I managed to trigger all three of them.

Scatter symbols land on the reels frequently, especially in twos, but more than three is not frequent. That bit is the only real shame here, as it means you’ll only ever get five free spins, which isn’t the best.

A game that does free spins better is 9 Blazing Diamonds. Each time I won free spins, I was given 25 with a 2x multiplier. Five free spins with a 3x multiplier pales in comparison.

Symbols and paytable

There are nine paying symbols in the Vegas Night Life slot, including the Wild. The four lowest-paying symbols are the spade, the club, the diamond, and the heart.

The spade and the club pay out the lowest, awarding a win of $0.25 for three symbols on a bet of $1. For five symbols, you’ll get $1. The diamond and heart pay out a little more, awarding $0.50 for three symbols and $3 for five when your bet is set to $1.

The champagne and the ring are next in the list, and these come with more substantial payouts. For three champagne symbols, you’ll get $1, and you’ll get $5 for five when your bet is set to $1. With the ring, five symbols award $6.

The highest paying symbols in the game are the watch, the car, and the Wild. The watch pays out $2 for three symbols and $8 for five symbols on a bet of $1.

The car and the Wild have the same payout values. These symbols award $4 for three symbols and $15 for five. When playing on the maximum bet of $100, five symbols will award a payout of $1,500. The maximum win is 900x your bet.

Time2play Expert Analysis

The average payouts on the Vegas Night Life slot aren’t bad. There’s a gradual increase from the lowest symbol to the highest, taking payouts from $1 with the lowest symbols to $15 with the highest.

That being said, for a NetEnt slot, the payouts are below average. Twin Spin, for instance, awards $40 for five of its highest paying symbol on a bet of $1, which outshines Vegas Night Life’s $15 wins.

Most of my wins weren’t that big, but there was a spin with eight Wilds, combined with a few other symbols, which awarded a decent-sized win. This wasn’t a one-off either, as stacked Wilds occur often. I’d still recommend careful budgeting, as if you let autospins run for 50 or more spins, you could drain your bankroll faster than you’d realise.

Expert verdict

Vegas Night Life is a good choice for more casual players, and even those with less experience. It’s a slot that’s easy to get going, and even the bonus features are straightforward.

The base game doesn’t allow for much, but the bonus features are what stand out here. There’s quite a bit going on, without being overwhelming, and what I appreciated was how easy it is to trigger any of the features. All you need are three Scatters.

The free spins are good to have, although a minimum of five isn’t the most rewarding. Thankfully, there’s a 3x multiplier attached. The Cash Stacker feature is the most lucrative since it has the potential to award all of the jackpots, along with various multipliers.

The game won’t be rewarding for high-rollers, though. The maximum bet is $100, which isn’t bad, but the maximum win from the highest-paying symbols is $1,500. While that’s ok, there are definitely slots, even by NetEnt, that pay out more.
