The Stinkin’ Rich online slot might give you the impression of a casual game with its retro cartoonish graphics and charming game sounds, but it comes with high stakes and a low RTP, making it a game you need to be cautious with.

The low RTP of 94.03% paired with high volatility results in a game that won’t pay out often. Its betting range is also quite wide, starting at 1 and ending at 200, but bets increase in large increments, making it a bit of an all-or-nothing situation.

There is the potential for big wins, with the highest paying symbol paying out 10,000x your stake alongside 100 paylines, but it’s a game that’s better suited to players with a comfortable budget who are prepared to play the game out.

As for bonus features, the game could have done more. The Trash for Cash bonus is a multiplier that can deliver big wins, but it can only be triggered once. The Keys to Riches bonus is a hard-to-trigger free spins round, which never really gave me the payoff I had hoped for.

This slot has nine symbols. The five lowest-paying symbols are all themed around stinky items, like a smelly sneaker, a dead fish, and a rotten egg. The other four symbols are the higher-paying symbols, and each one is a rich character.

Payout facts

The three lowest-paying symbols pay 10x for three symbols and as much as 250x for five. The payout values increase gradually, as the middle of the road symbol, the rotten egg, pays 15x for three and 300x for five. The highest-paying symbol, however, awards as much as 50x for three symbols and 10,000x for five.

Stinkin’ Rich also has a Scatter symbol, but this pays out less than the lowest-paying symbols. Three scatters awards just 3x and five awards 100x.

On Stinkin’ Rich you’ll find two bonus features. These are Trash for Cash and Keys to Riches.

Trash for Cash is triggered by landing three symbols on the last three reels in any position. Once triggered, three of the symbols on the reels become picker tiles. Players need to choose one of the tiles to reveal a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x. The remaining two tiles will be revealed to show their values which are added together and multiplied by the chosen multiplier. This bonus cannot be retriggered.

Feature facts

The Keys to Riches Bonus is triggered when three symbols land on reels 1, 2, and 3 on a payline. Players are awarded five free spins for each payline that triggered the bonus. A safe appears on the screen, and this is unlocked to reveal the bonus reels. These are played at the same coin value as the base game.

There’s also a Wild symbol, which substitutes for every symbol except for the Scatter, Keys to Riches, and Trash for Cash symbols. It appears on reels 2, 3, and 4 only.

Stinkin’ Rich has vibrant cartoon-like visuals that help bring the slot and its theme to life. The background of the game window is piles upon piles of gold coins, dotted with gemstones. There are also translucent bank notes falling into frame. The slot also comes with its own mascot: a skunk in a blue t-shirt which juggles a stack of coins while you play. The skunk is also animated when you land a win.

The symbols don’t have a lot of detail, but they follow the same illustration style as the rest of the game. They’re vibrant and cartoonish, each of them having basic animations when you land a win.

The Keys to Riches Bonus is played on different reels, with variations to the symbols too. The background also features more gemstones and riches, to create a feeling of luxury.

From a musical perspective, there is a peppy background track that fits the slot perfectly. There are also a few game sounds, such as the winning jingle and the skunk laughing when you land a win. The music and jingles become faster during the Keys to Riches Bonus round.
