What stands out the most about Regal Riches is the wide range of stakes it allows. These go from $0.10 on the low end, to a maximum of $500, allowing for a variety of players to have a piece of the fun.
While the stake range is pretty impressive, I also found the betting menu quite useful. With 35 bets you can choose from, it’s very easy to adjust your bet at any point.
There’s no buy feature though, and you’ll have to be patient if you’re trying to get to those Progressive Wilds and bonus rounds.
I would’ve also liked the option to adjust the paylines, but I’m not too fussy about it.
Bonus features

We already mentioned Regal Riches’ innovative approach to bonus features. One of the main ones is the Progressive Wilds Meter. As you play, two meters collect Wilds symbols from the grid — one for the base game and another for free spins. Once these meters are full, they release the collected Wilds onto the reels.
Another key feature is the Guaranteed Wilds feature. The game might add some of your collected Wilds onto the grid if you don’t land any Wilds on a spin. This means that Wilds can suddenly appear and help you win, often with a multiplier attached to them.
Lastly, there are two Free Spins bonuses — the Major Free Spins and the Mega Free Spins. The former are triggered when you land two Blue and one Green Scatter symbol or when you fill the Green Wilds meter. They grant you 10 free spins with at least 40 Wilds added to the reels.

While Regal Riches is quite a traditional online slot in most ways, IGT has found a way to make it more exciting. I quite enjoy the variety of the bonus features, as they add complexity and depth to an otherwise simple slot.
I especially enjoyed the Guaranteed Wilds feature. It provides a way for you to relax a bit more than you would otherwise, by helping you win sometimes without actually landing the symbols on the paylines.
On the other hand, while the bonus features are certainly abundant, they’re not super easy to understand from the get-go, especially for new players.
I would’ve liked a bit more simplicity so that it’s easier to jump straight into the game.

I didn’t mind the visuals or the audio of Regal Riches, as they allow for smooth and enjoyable gameplay. However, I do find the visuals and the music somewhat not on theme.
While the name of the game is Regal Riches, I found the colors and the visuals more futuristic in nature.
While purple might be the royal color, combined with the graphics — the buttons, the symbols, the background, it gives off a slight cyberpunk vibe. This put me off a few times, as I expected more of a regal visual identity.
Setting my personal preferences aside, the game is very playable. The audiovisual quality was high, the music was full of suspense, and the experience was smooth.
I would’ve liked to see more complex animations though, as the light effects and the Wilds animations can become a bit monotone after some time.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the layout of Regal Riches. IGT didn’t deviate too much from traditional slots here, with a 5×4 grid layout that’s easy to understand if you’ve ever played online slots.
All of the buttons are easy to find and the game is easy to navigate. This is especially true for the mobile version which puts the slot in portrait mode, making it super easy to navigate on a smaller screen.
What I especially liked was the Autoplay feature that allows you to set the number of spins, but also conditions on stopping the sequence of spins based on win/loss limits. This gives you a bit more control over the game and your spending.
The only problem I found was the lack of Turbo or Quick Mode, but Regal Riches does allow you to manually speed up the spin if you’re really in a hurry.
Expert verdict
Overall, Regal Riches is an interesting slot with innovative bonus features, all within a standard traditional layout familiar to most players.
The betting range it offers makes it appealing to both newcomers as well as high-rollers, and the RTP and volatility give out a nice, balanced win frequency.
While it could definitely benefit from a visual update and more complex animations, it’s a straightforward slot that you won’t have much trouble learning how to play.
