Le King takes Le Bandit’s proven formula, adjusts its bonus rounds so all 3 start you off with 10 free spins, and adds 1 major upgrade: Jackpot Markers. This addition places 4 fixed jackpots led by the 20,000x Max Win prize to the left of the 6-reel, 5-row gaming grid built around the provider’s favorite cluster pays mechanic.
The rest of the setup resembles Le Bandit in every way. Winning combinations trigger Super Cascades, and Neon Rainbows activate Golden Squares to reveal Coins worth 0.2x to 500x your bet. That said, Clovers can now multiply those values by up to 20x, a small but welcome change from the original’s 10x max multiplier.
The visuals are as cartoonish and as fun as ever, with Smokey the Raccoon still cursing when he’s not landing hits. The goofy mascot is now disguised as the king of rock and roll himself, with neon-soaked streets of Spin City (AKA Las Vegas) behind him.

I spent quite a bit of time with the game to prepare this thorough Le King slot review. In it, I dive deeper into the release’s key areas, including its RTP, volatility, bonus features, and paytable, to give you everything you need to know about it before you play it.

The game has no traditional paylines, as the provider has chosen to continue with its cluster pays setup, where wins form when 5 or more identical symbols appear in adjacent positions.
Le King’s RTP of 96.14% is a tad below the original Le Bandit, but is still roughly in line with the industry average. That said, I also came across 3 other, lower-RTP variants, including 94.18%, 92.25%, and the abysmally low 88.25%, so make sure you check before playing.
Volatility is defined as medium, just like the other 3 Le slots that came before it, and all 3 of my 100-spin sessions at $0.40, $2, and $4 reflected that. The game did toss me quite a few small hits, but then a Super Cascade or a Neon Rainbow would come along and even things out.

Super Cascade
Unlike a regular cascade, a super one removes all symbols that match the ones that formed a winning combination, including those outside the cluster. Right after, new symbols drop down to fill the gaps, and the feature continues until no more wins can be formed.
Golden Squares
When you get a winning combo, the positions behind the symbols that formed the win become highlighted. Now known as Golden Squares, they can be activated by a Neon Rainbow symbol landing on the grid. Upon activation, Golden Squares can reveal:
- Bronze Coins worth 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x the stake
- Silver Coins worth 5x, 10x, 15x, or 20x the stake
- Gold Coins worth 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, or 500x the stake
- Green Clovers, which multiply adjacent Coins and Treasure Pots by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, or 20x
- Gold Clovers, which multiply all Coins and Treasure Pots on the grid by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, or 20x
- Treasure Pots, which collect Coins and other Treasure Pots (but not Jackpot Markers) and store their values before reactivating the Golden Squares
Jackpot Markers
Le King’s 4 Jackpot Markers, represented by green, blue, pink, and yellow chips, can land organically or appear inside Golden Squares. They only pay out if they occur alongside a Neon Rainbow, and those payouts are set up as follows:
- Green chips: Mini (10x your stake)
- Blue chips: Major (100x your stake)
- Pink chips: Mega (1,000x your stake)
- Yellow chips: Max Win (20,000x your stake)
Only 1 of each chip can appear on the grid, though you can land all 4 Jackpot Markers at the same time. In this case, their values will be combined before being awarded.
Free Spins
Like the original Le Bandit, Le King also has 3 bonus rounds, though all 3 now start you off with 10 free spins instead of 8, 12, and 12:
- Spin City: Land 3 FS scatters and you’ll get the base bonus where the Golden Squares stay on the grid until they’re activated by a Neon Rainbow symbol.
- Jackpot of Gold: Hitting 4 FS scatters leads to a bonus that gives Golden Squares an upgrade, which makes them stay on the grid even after a Neon Rainbow comes along.
- Viva Le Bandit!: The final bonus requires 5 FS scatters, keeps the Golden Squares on the grid after activation, and guarantees at least 1 Neon Rainbow on every spin. Plus, these symbols no longer reveal Bronze Coins, leaving only Silver and Gold ones in play, alongside Green and Gold Clovers and Treasure Pots.

Le King’s feature set is certainly interesting, but ultimately, this iteration mostly loops back to the original 2023 game. That’s not to say it’s a carbon copy of it, as there are novelties here like the 4 fixed jackpots, which aren’t too common in Hacksaw Gaming slots. And while I do see the appeal, I never saw a Jackpot Marker alongside a Neon Rainbow, even after 300+ spins.
Although a minor change, the addition of Gold Clovers is the better switch-up from a mechanics standpoint. These symbols can now apply up to x20 multipliers across the entire grid, which can potentially turn those Golden Squares and Neon Rainbow combos into pretty hefty payouts.
As far as bonuses go, landing 3 FS scatters wasn’t too difficult on the 30-square grid, and the 2 extra spins compared to Le Bandit’s 8 for the base round are a welcome change. Nonetheless, the hidden epic bonus remains the absolute highlight here. Even with fewer spins in play, you’re guaranteed to win something on every spin as there’s always at least 1 Neon Rainbow here.

Besides the special symbols that only a Neon Rainbow can reveal on Golden Squares and the 4 Jackpot Markers, Le King also has 10 regular symbols: 5 low-paying and 5 high-paying ones.

The wild symbol, which is a wanted poster for Smokey the Raccoon, is also in play and substitutes for all regular paying symbols.
Le King’s paytable is thin, and arguably the worst part of this installment. Card royals don’t even cover the stake, so these hits are irrelevant to your session. The high-paying icons aren’t much better unless you’re forming clusters with 8+ symbols, which I didn’t see too often.
That said, the Super Cascades and the Golden Squares absolutely pull through. The game’s 30-square grid offers enough real estate for 10+ or even 15+ highlighted squares to appear at the same time. And even a few of these combos with a well-timed Neon Rainbow are enough to make up for all the disappointingly low symbol-only hits.

Expert verdict
At first glance, Le King flies a bit too close to Le Bandit, the slot that started the whole franchise back in 2023. And it’s those similarities that might keep fans of the original game from giving this iteration a shot, even if the whole neon Vegas theme with Smokey dressed as Elvis is a vibe.
But the moment you dive deeper, you notice all the smaller changes besides the obviously new Jackpot Markers. This includes Gold Clovers that multiply all Coins and Treasure Pots on the grid along the new x20 multipliers, as well as the revamped bonuses with 10 free spins across all 3 rounds.
The setup may not reinvent the wheel, but it does offer a nice little step-up from the original release. You get proven-to-work Super Cascades and Golden Squares, which are as good as ever, with a doubled max win of 20,000x being the icing on the cake. So, there’s really nothing to dislike here.
