If two Multiplier symbols with a value of 3x and 6x land during a winning tumble, they combine into a 9x multiplier. In the base game, multipliers reset after a winning sequence. However, during the Free Spins round, they serve an additional function. Whenever one lands, its value is also collected into a total multiplier. At the end of the feature, the total multiplier is applied to the final payout.
Landing four, five, six, and seven Scatter symbols awards 15, 20, 25, and 30 free spins respectively in the Free Spins bonus round. Alternatively, the Bonus Buy feature lets you trigger the Free Spins round instantly. The standard version costs 100x your bet, while Super Free Spins cost 500x and raise the minimum multiplier value from 2x to 5x.

In my opinion, the mechanics surrounding the Special Bets feature were more entertaining than the actual Free Spins round itself. Particularly if you are on a tight budget, the Ante Bet options provide a nice alternative to the Bonus Buy options. Plus, the Super Spins add some excitement to the base game.
Fortune of Olympus is not the only Pragmatic Play slot with Special Bets, with other games like Super X and Sweet Rush Bonanza also having their own versions. However, Fortune of Olympus does have one of the most extensive Special Bet mechanics I’ve seen, with up to four options.
Aside from that, the lack of Wild symbols makes gameplay feel a little less unpredictable. The tumbling reels and multipliers still give the same huge win potential, especially in the Free Spins round.
However, landing or collecting high multipliers is still quite rare, and most of my Free Spins rounds were pretty average. Without Bonus Buy and Special Bet options, the game suddenly looks very bare-bones and can be difficult to break open.

Fortune of Olympus feels like a respectful and solid extension to the Gates of Olympus formula. You won’t find anything that’s radically different, but the Special Bets feature with four options adds an interesting dynamic to gameplay.
The 10,000x max win, 500x max multiplier, and total multiplier in the Free Spins round give the game high-end potential. That said, good luck trying to hit anything decent. With no Wild symbols, the mix of high volatility and low-tier pay symbols makes any attempt at building a decent run of wins extremely difficult.
