Sizzling Hot Deluxe slot summary review
Sizzling Hot Deluxe is a 5×3 slot designed for players who enjoy simple, no-frills, gameplay and the nostalgia of classic fruit machines.
With five fixed paylines and an RTP of 95.66%, most of the game’s suspense comes from the Gamble feature, which can be activated after every winning spin. In this all-or-nothing card guessing game, players have the chance to double their winnings up to five times.
The slot also comes with a 5,000x base-game win potential. However, with no free spins, Wild symbols, or additional modifiers, Sizzling Hot Deluxe relies heavily on simplicity, nostalgia, and risk, rather than genuine bonus depth or engaging features.

Sizzling Hot Deluxe comprehensive review
In this Sizzling Hot Deluxe slot review, I’ll delve into the RTP, volatility, paytable, and actual gameplay. I’ll also break down the Gamble feature and find out if this classic online slot from Novomatic still has something to offer to today’s players.
RTP and volatility
With high volatility and an RTP rating of 95.66%, Sizzling Hot Deluxe is played on a 5×3 grid across five fixed paylines.

| RTP | 95.66% |
| Maximum win | 5,000x |
| Number of paylines | 5 |
| Volatility | High |
Players can land payouts for three, four, and five matching symbols on selected lines, except for Scatters, which can pay in any position so long as there is a minimum of three within view.
The game’s RTP falls disappointingly short of the 96% industry average. While not ideal, this didn’t really surprise me considering the slot’s old-school setup and extremely limited paylines.
That said, a lower-line count doesn’t automatically translate to lower RTP rates. Eye of Horus by Blueprint Gaming is another old-school slot with just 10 paylines, and yet its RTP is above 96%.
In terms of actual gameplay, I definitely felt the high volatility associated with Sizzling Hot Deluxe with long, winless runs. This was somewhat balanced out by generous pay symbols when wins finally did land. Plus, if luck is on your side, the Gamble feature can quickly turn the tide in your favor.

Bonus features
Shown as star symbols, Scatters are not bound by paylines. This means they can pay in any position so long as there are three, four, or five that appear within view at the same time. Scatter payouts will be combined with any regular line wins that may appear. This is the Scatter’s only function in the game, meaning it does not unlock free spins, multipliers, or any other bonus features.
Whenever you land a win, the Gamble button becomes active. Here, you have the option to collect your line win or select the Gamble feature to potentially boost your payout.

The Gamble feature is essentially a card guessing game, where you need to predict whether a face-down card will be black or red. There are five cards in total and each correct guess will double your current winnings.
However, one incorrect guess will wipe out your entire gambled amount, including your initial line win. You can choose to exit the game at any time by selecting the Collect button. Bear in mind, during autoplay, the Gamble feature does not apply.
With no free spins, no multipliers, and no Wild symbols, Sizzling Hot Deluxe gives a whole new meaning to a stripped-down online slot game. Given the game’s design, I get the feeling that this straightforward approach was intentional but still, I can’t let it off that easily.
There are games released around the same time there were already doing a lot more. Released in 2006, Mega Moolah features four progressive jackpots, Wilds, and multipliers. Boof of Ra Deluxe was released in 2008 and comes with a Free Spins round and expanding symbols.
The only thing really worth talking about at Sizzling Hot Deluxe is the Gamble option. It’s simple, fun, effective, and can seriously raise the stakes. Even then, I was annoyed to discover that the feature doesn’t work during autospins.

Symbols and paytable
Sizzling Hot Deluxe features eight pay symbols made up of six-fruit themed icons, a Lucky 7, and a Star Scatter. Most symbols award payouts on fixed lines for three, four, and five matches from left to right, except for Scatters which can pay in any position.
The paytable scales according to your bet size and the game uses a traditional bet-line configuration. This means that the bet per line is multiplied by five paylines to get your total stake per spin
The Lucky 7 is the game’s highest paying symbol, with five matches awarding 1,000x your bet. If five Lucky 7s land across all fixed paylines, you’ll reach the 5,000x maximum win potential in the base game. However, the Gamble feature can increase this maximum potential.

Next in line in terms of value are the watermelons and grapes, with each one sharing identical payouts across all three tiers (100x for five matches, 200x for four, and 50x for three).
After that, Star Scatters award 50x your bet for five matches, 10x for four, and 2x for three. The remaining fruit icons (oranges, plums, lemons, and cherries) share the same payouts across all tiers (40x for five matches, 10x for four, and 4x for three).

I don’t mind the traditional setup for making bets as I feel it fits the game’s old school feel. The Lucky 7 also carries real weight across all three pay tiers, awarding 1,000x for five matches. For comparison, another fruit-themed slot called 40 Super Hot offers 500x your bet for five Scatters.
That said, the payouts in Sizzling Hot Deluxe drop off quite sharply after that, although can still carry decent return value. However, the most disappointing thing for me was the amount of duplicate pay tiers, especially among low-paying icons.
The paytable is clearly geared toward chasing high-paying Luck 7s across five paylines and pushing wins further through the Gamble feature. However, considering the game offers such limited features, I was hoping for a little more variety here.

Expert verdict
The straightforward gameplay and stripped-down mechanics are partly down to age, but even then, Sizzling Hot Deluxe feels too bare bones for me. To its credit, the Gamble feature adds an interesting risk element to gameplay and makes everything feel less repetitive and stale. However, with no free spins, multipliers or even Wild symbols, the novelty of the Gamble feature quickly wears off in my opinion.
If you enjoy simple gameplay coupled with the nostalgia of classic fruit machines and old-school casino sounds, Sizzling Hot Deluxe may be worth a quick spin. But, for players looking for any bonus depth, innovative mechanics, and more engaging gameplay, Sizzling Hot Deluxe is unlikely to hold your attention for too long.
