Fans of the Immortal Romance series will find this a great addition to the series. From a visual perspective the Immortal Romance Sarah’s Secret Power Combo slot has retained the look and feel of the original slot, but has a more refined design, with smoother animations and much more detail.
As for bonus features, the main focal point of this slot is the Link&Win bonus, which can be quite lucrative on its own, but comes with the potential for five additional features to be part of it. With this combination, however, I’m not surprised that the game pays out as infrequently as it does. Even with 20 paylines, this is still a high volatility slot and the 20 paylines don’t encourage the hit rate.

Wilds
The Wild symbol, which is the word “Wild” can substitute for all symbols, except for the bonus symbols. They can be stacked on all reels and can create their own winning combinations when landing on a payline.
Link&Win bonus
Throughout the game, bonus symbols will land on the reels and will be collected by the vials that sit above the grid or by Sarah’s character. These are collected throughout the game, for the chance to randomly trigger the Link&Win bonus. The vials don’t need to be full to trigger the bonus.
When one of the bonuses is triggered, a new screen will open, showing the five vials with those that triggered the bonus glowing brightly. These will be the active features during the Link&Win round. Up to five features can be active during any round.
A new reel set will appear, where the goal is to collect as many bonus symbols as possible, which also includes jackpot symbols. The final total is added up, and if all the symbol positions are filled, the Mega jackpot is awarded. If any jackpot symbols land on the reels, that jackpot is also awarded.
Three re-spins are initially awarded but every filled position awards an additional three re-spins. The Link&Win feature ends when there are no more re-spins. If multiple features are active during a Link&Win round, they play out in this order: Magnify, Surge, Barrage, and Supernova.
Sarah’s feature
When Sarah’s feature is triggered, you’ll be awarded a Link&Win round, with at least two of the other features guaranteed.
Supernova feature
This is triggered by the golden orb symbol. The golden orbs land during the Link&Win round, collecting the value of every cash prize on the bonus symbols. If the Surge feature is also active, the Supernova orbs collect their values, too.
Once the collection is complete, the Supernova orb remains on the reels but can’t be changed. The total value is awarded at the end of the round.
Barrage feature
The green orb, or Barrage symbols, land on the reels during the Link&Win round, adding their values to every cash prize bonus symbol and Jackpot prize.
Surge feature
The blue orb triggers the Surge feature. When this feature is playing out, additional Surge bonus symbols land on the Link&Win reels, increasing their value by a random amount with every spin. If a multiplier is active during these spins, the value of the Surge bonus symbol is multiplied on landing. At the end of the feature, the total from all the symbols is added to the final win.
Magnify feature
The Magnify feature is triggered by the red orb. This awards a random multiplier on every spin during the Link&Win. The multipliers range between 2x-5x the bet.
Twin Flames feature
Triggered by the pink orb. This feature triggers a double Link&Win bonus round, with two independent reel sets. The Link&Win bonus plays out separately on these two reels, and it ends when either all of the positions have been filled or there are no remaining free spins on both reel sets.
Wild Desire bonus

Immortal Romance slots really go all out when it comes to bonus features. As usual, there’s one dominant feature, in this case it’s the Link&Win, with everything else active when that’s playing out. There’s also the return of the Wild Desire feature, which can be highly lucrative.
It’s a bit hard to understand how all these bonus features work together, or when they come into play, but after reading the game information a few times, and experiencing one Link&Win round, I got the hang of it.
The bonus features don’t trigger very often. During a 2-hour period of testing the slot, I had one instance of Twin Flames during which I almost filled my bottom reel set, one position away from the Mega jackpot.

The four high-paying symbols are the character symbols: Amber, Troy, Michael, and Sarah. The payouts increase slightly with each of these symbols. For instance, Amber’s symbols awards $2 for five on a bet of $1, but Troy’s awards $2.50. For five Michael symbols, you’ll get $3 and Sarah is the strongest, awarding $4 for five on a bet of $1.
The Wild is the highest-paying symbol in the game, though. Three Wilds will award a payout of $1 on a bet of $1, but five awards $10. On the maximum bet of $50, that’s $500. The maximum win on Immortal Romance Sarah’s Secret is 5,000x, unless you purchase the Wild Desire feature. In that case, the maximum win is 10,000x.
I feel like there’s a lot of wasted potential where the payouts are concerned. To have seven out of 12 symbols award the same payout value for three symbols is very limited. Plus, I always feel there should be a small increase between the lowest-paying symbols, but here all four of them pay out the same, and so do the three middle symbols.
It means the average payouts are on the low side and there isn’t much difference between landing a Jack or the greenhouse.
Compared with the original Immortal Romance slot, it pays out a little better on average, but not entirely. The lowest-paying symbols on that slot paid out $0.05 for three symbols on a bet of $1, plus the Wild used to award $15 for five and now it’s just $10.

Since the bonus features are quite complex, Immortal Romance Sarah’s Secret Power Combo slot is a game that will work primarily for more experienced players.
That was my only major issue with the slot. It took time to understand how the bonus features worked and when they’d come into play. Since they don’t trigger so frequently, it takes time to watch them play out. All the same, the Link&Win feature is an engaging and lucrative element of the game.
