The Flaming Hot slot has a pretty low hit rate, based on my experience testing it for around three hours. This is down to the combination of a low RTP of 95.53%, low-medium volatility, and just 40 paylines.
When I did have wins, they were often across multiple paylines, which contributed to bigger average wins. Comparing it with a slot like Immortal Romance Mega Moolah, though, you can see how the number of paylines really affects your hit rate.

The gamble feature becomes available when you have a win of less than or equal to a set amount. The value is determined by your current bet. On a bet of $0.80, for example, the value is $28. When the feature is available, the autospin button turns into an “x2”, which opens up the gamble window.
Players need to guess whether the card is red or black to double their win. If correct, there’s the chance to guess again and double the new value. You can double your bet up to three times, but there can be up to five gamble attempts. If the choice is wrong, then the gamble amount is lost, and the round is finished.

I think what’s available in the Flaming Hot slot is good, particularly the way you can upgrade your jackpot win by collecting the right symbols. The gamble feature is pretty classic and adds a good twist to what’s otherwise a standard win.
