From a design perspective, everything is the same except Zeus has a much jazzier outfit. His animation is also smoother and faster. Otherwise, the background, the symbols, and the music are the same.

Scatters and free spins
Zeus’s face with the word “Scatter” is the Scatter symbol. This symbol awards its own payout values, but it’s also the trigger for a free spins round. Landing four Scatters awards 15 free spins. If three or more Scatters land during a free spins round, an additional five spins are awarded.
Multipliers
Multipliers are present during both the base game and free spins. There are five multiplier symbols, which can appear on any reel: green, blue, purple, red, and opal. The multiplier value that can be awarded is centered on the symbol.
When a multiplier hits during the base game, the multiplier value is assigned to that winning spin. If there’s a tumbling sequence in play, all the multiplier symbols on the screen are added together and multiplied by the total sequence win.
During a free spins round, if a multiplier symbol lands on the reels during a winning spin, that multiplier value becomes the total multiplier, once it has been multiplied by the winning amount. The total multiplier is present throughout the free spins round, multiplying any wins.
If new multiplier symbols land on a winning spin, they’re multiplied by the total multiplier for a bigger win. They’re then added to the current total multiplier and are retained for the rest of the free spins round. The potential multiplier values are: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, or 1,000x.
Tumble feature
When a spin has a winning combination, the winning symbols are cleared after the payout is awarded, allowing new symbols to take their place. If the new symbols create new winning combinations, the tracker on the side records the win, and the symbols are replaced again. This cycle can continue until there are no more possible wins. At the end, the full payout of all the tumbles recorded is awarded.
Bonus Buy and Ante bet
To instantly trigger a free spins round, you can use the bonus buy feature. This costs 100x your current bet and awards 15 free spins.
The ante bet gives you the option to choose the bet multiplier, which will also change how the game behaves.

Pragmatic Play hasn’t really changed things up when it comes to bonus features, as everything is identical to Gates of Olympus. What is different, though, is the maximum multiplier you can get, which is 1,000x – doubled from the original 500x. This increase is very welcome, and it’s what allows for much higher wins.
The features available here are good, and they work well together. The tumble feature and multipliers go hand in hand quite nicely, and I was glad to see that the multipliers are applied to the whole free spins round, instead of just one spin like in the base game. That can be pretty lucrative.

There are 10 paying symbols on Gates of Olympus 1000, including the Scatter. The low-paying symbols are the gemstones. In ascending order, these are blue, green, yellow, purple, and red.
The blue gemstone is the lowest-paying symbol in the game, awarding $0.25 for eight to nine symbols, on a bet of $1. Landing 10-11 symbols will award a payout of $0.75, and 12-30 symbols will award $2 on a bet of $1. The green gemstone pays out a little higher, awarding $0.40 for eight to nine symbols on a bet of $1. For 12-30 symbols, you’ll get $4.
Of the low-paying symbols, the red gemstone pays out the best. On a bet of $1, you’ll get $1 for eight to nine symbols, $1.50 for 10-11 symbols, and as much as $10 for 12-30 symbols.
The cup symbol is the next step up. On the same bet of $1, you’ll get $1.50 for eight to nine symbols, but if you land 12 or more, it’s a payout of $12. For the ring symbol, you’ll get $15 for 12 or more symbols.
The hourglass awards a higher payout. On a bet of $1, you’ll get $2.50 for eight to nine symbols, but you’ll get $25 if you land 12-30 symbols. The crown is worth double that, awarding $50 for 12-30 symbols.
The highest-paying symbol in the game is the Scatter. Four Scatters award a payout of $3 on a bet of $1, while five award a payout of $5. If you land six Scatters, you’ll get a payout of $100. The maximum win on Gates of Olympus 1000 is 15,000x your bet.
The payouts are the same as in the original Gates of Olympus slot, so if you were happy with those, you’ll be happy with these. I was surprised to find they weren’t changed at all, but fortunately the payouts are pretty good on average.
What has changed is the maximum win, which is now 15,000x your bet. Previously, it was 5,000x, which pales in comparison.
