Expert verdict

My general takeaway is that Mega Frenzy can’t compete with some of the bigger sweeps casinos on the market, but it does a lot of things right in its own way.

For instance, it’s game selection. 463 games is a good number for a sweeps casino, even if it’s not the biggest game library I’ve seen. What stands out is the variety in those 463 games. Plus, 25 live games is great for a sweeps casino.

Admittedly, the sign-up bonus is not what I expected. 30,000 GC is a strong bonus, but that sign-up bonus doesn’t include any SC, which is a missed opportunity. Looking at the rest of the bonuses, the Daily Mega Wheel gives you the chance to win SC every day, and the Hype Club, Missions, and Mega Drop are all fresh and fun ways to win more virtual coins. Classic bonuses, like refer-a-friend aren’t available. I was hoping to see some of these, but I like Mega Frenzy’s approach.

The biggest issues with Mega Frenzy are in payments and usability. Mega Frenzy currently only accepts traditional bank cards and bank transfers for payments, which is a limited selection. I was more disappointed to find that it only offers cash prizes as a redemption method, with 100 SC as the minimum. It’s a high minimum, and there’s no other option.

With usability, my experience using the sweeps casino was a little laggy. I’d often click on pages from the sidebar menu, and the page wouldn’t load. I ended up refreshing the page a lot, just to get to where I wanted to go. It’s annoying, especially when the casino looks so good.

Mega Frenzy is a solid choice for a sweeps casino, particularly for players who are new to sweepstakes. This sweeps casino feels fresh, not just in terms of design, and

State differences

Mega Frenzy is available in 41 states, excluding the following restricted states: Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, and Washington.

Players in Florida can redeem a maximum of $5,000 per spin or per play round. In all other states, the maximum redemption value is $10,000 per day.

How does Mega Frenzy casino work?

Mega Frenzy has two kinds of virtual coins: Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). You can use both of these to play games at the sweeps casino, without the need to make a purchase. These coin types function a little differently.

GC can be used to play games and are acquired through bonuses, giveaways, and can be won by playing games. GC can also be bought in a coin purchase.

SC can be acquired in all of the above ways, along with a few additional ways, like writing in a mail-in request, and they’re often a freebie in GC packs; however, the main difference lies in redemptions. SC, unlike GC, can be redeemed for a cash prize at Mega Frenzy.

Bonuses and loyalty at Mega Frenzy

New players at Mega Frenzy get 30,000 GC and a Mega Wheel spin. The sign-up bonus doesn’t include any SC, but Mega Frenzy has a 2,000 GC daily login bonus that players can claim every time they sign in. Players are also entitled to a daily Mega Wheel spin for the chance to win small amounts of free SC every day.

As an initial purchase, Mega Frenzy has the Welcome Offer coin bundle. This costs the special price of $9.99 for 20,000 GC and 20 free SC.

Players can also check their Missions. These are small daily or weekly tasks, like ‘Change Your Avatar’, that will award different amounts of GC depending on the task. Smaller daily tasks can award 1,000 GC, while bigger weekly tasks can award 10,000 GC. Mega Frenzy can also award badges to show off your completed missions.

In the Hype Club, you can get further GC bonuses. This is Mega Frenzy’s VIP program, with 11 levels. The first level is called Snap, and the final level is called Frenzy. To increase your level, you need to increase your points. A minimum spin of 100 GC awards 100 points.

Each level comes with increased rewards, like birthday rewards, a GC award for reaching the new level, and even increased daily login rewards. The 10th and 11th levels award 250,000 GC for reaching the level and a daily login reward of 5,000 GC.

Mega Drop is Mega Frenzy’s in-house jackpot. If you spin with a minimum of 100 GC on any game, a surprise GC prize can be added to your coin balance. This could be a minimum of 1,000 GC or as much as 20,000 GC.

Bonus rating

70/100 Cool promos with some areas for improvement
  • Daily Mega Wheel spin
  • VIP club
  • No SC with sign-up bonus
  • No refer-a-friend bonus

Mega Frenzy’s bonuses are a bit of a mixed bag. What it has on offer is good, but some things were lacking.

The biggest disappointment was that there are no SC in the sign-up bonus. The GC bonus is great – 30,000 GC is a high-value bonus. I was expecting to get some SC because it’s the general expectation with sweeps sign-up bonuses, and it’s a good way to pick up your first SC. As a comparison, WOW Vegas awards new players 150,000 GC and 3 SC, which is five times Mega Frenzy’s GC bonus and includes three whole SC.

You can try and win some SC right after signing up by taking a spin on the Mega Wheel, although some of the SC values on there are pretty small, so it won’t always be as rewarding as you hope. That being said, I love a daily wheel spin, and the daily login bonus is great. It’s always good to pick up extra virtual coins, and 2,000 GC with every log in is good value.

I was hoping to find more promos overall, like friend referrals, but Mega Frenzy doesn’t offer these. The Missions and Hype Club are a really cool way of incentivizing players to keep playing or to complete small tasks, to win virtual coins. The Hype Club has some great prizes. These two help make up for the lack of traditional promos.

Mega Frenzy’s 463 games

Mega Frenzy has 463 games available. That includes 25 live games, and the remaining 438 are slots. 83 of the slots fall under the Hold and Win category, while another 107 are jackpots. There are 11 Megaways, and 26 games are fishing-themed slots.

Games rating

88/100 Good variety in just 463 games
  • Variety of slots
  • 25 live games
  • No table games
  • No live poker

Considering the number of games is smaller than some other sweeps casinos I’ve come across, Mega Frenzy manages to offer plenty of variety. Cazino has over 1,000 games, but remarkably less variety.

Mega Frenzy has Hold and Wins, Megaways, and fishing games. Plus many other different slot themes, like animals, sweets, Wild West. Having Pragmatic Play as one of the main providers also means we get popular classic games like the Big Bass series and Gates of Olympus.

The live games section is also impressive. 25 games from one live provider is great, and there are different options for some of the most popular live dealer games, including a few card games like Top Card. Poker is missing from that lineup, unfortunately, so if you are a poker fan, you’ll be disappointed.

Mega Frenzy also doesn’t have any table games right now, which is a shame for players who prefer to play the RNG versions of blackjack, baccarat, and roulette.

If RNG table games and poker options are a deal breaker for you, I think you’ll have a better gaming experience at Global Poker

Software rating

88/100 Small providers list with key provider
  • Live games provider
  • No download required
  • No bespoke software

Considering the number of games available, the list of providers is pretty good. 18 software providers is decent for a sweeps casino. Cazino, Mega Frenzy’s sister casino, only has four providers contributing to its game library, which means its offering lacks variety.

I was also pleased to see that several key providers form part of Mega Frenzy’s provider list, including top names like Pragmatic Play, KA Gaming, and BetSoft.

Mega Frenzy also works with ICONIC21 for its live casino section, which is a big plus. Live casino isn’t a given in sweeps casinos, and ICONIC21 means the live games will have high-quality streams.

There isn’t any bespoke software at this time, but Mega Frenzy does a lot with its list of providers, and the variety available covers most game types.

Payment methods accepted at Mega Frenzy

Mega Frenzy accepts VISA and Mastercard for purchases. You can use bank transfer for redemptions.

The sweeps casino currently only offers cash prize redemptions, with a minimum redemption request of 100 SC. Cash redemptions take 3–5 working days, and all SC need to be played through at least once before requesting a redemption.

Payments rating

69/100 Limited redemption offering
  • $0.99 minimum purchase
  • Only cash redemptions
  • 100 SC minimum redemption

The payments section of Mega Frenzy was a bit of a letdown. While what it offers is fine, it’s limited.

To start with, the available payment methods don’t include e-wallets or crypto. Cryptocurrency isn’t the most common among sweeps casino, but e-wallets like Skrill can be found at quite a few of them. Mega Frenzy only offers traditional bank cards and bank transfer.

That would be fine if Mega Frenzy offered a little more when it came to redemptions. At this time, only cash prize redemptions are available. While cash prizes are nice to have, it would have been great to have other options available. Cash prizes also come with a 100 SC minimum for redemptions, which is high.

To compare, PlayFame offers both gift cards and cash prize redemptions. The minimum required for gift cards is just 10 SC, and cash prizes require 75 SC. PlayFame also accepts six cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

On top of that, Mega Frenzy takes 3–5 days for cash prize redemptions, which is slow by sweeps standards. Mega Bonanza takes an average of 1–2 days for cash prize redemptions.

Is Mega Frenzy safe?

Mega Frenzy uses 256-bit encryption with ECDSA technology. The sweeps casino also states in its FAQs that it only works with reputable software providers to ensure fairness. This means that the providers all have audited RNGs as part of their games.

All players need to go through the verification process after registration to be able to request redemptions and win further SC. To verify your account, you need to provide photo identification, like your government ID, passport, or driver’s license.

You’ll also need to share a recent utility bill that matches your address listed on your account. Mega Frenzy may also request a source of wealth or funds document, like a pay slip or bank statement.

Mega Frenzy has a dedicated RG page, which provides information on playing safely and tips to help recognize problematic gaming behavior. It also includes a series of questions for self-assessment to help players understand their gaming habits.

For professional guidance, Mega Frenzy has listed Smart Mobile Gamers, NPR, Smart Social Gamers, and GAA as reliable sources you can use.

Mega Frenzy offers players three RG tools. These are purchase limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion. Purchase limits will limit how many virtual coins players can purchase and can be set on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Timeouts are when players want to take a small break from the sweeps casino. This is available for a minimum of 1 day, up to 365 days, and prevents them from accessing the sweeps casino.

Self-exclusion is available for a more permanent break. This suspends the player’s account for 10 years, and the player can’t access Mega Frenzy during that time. You can also choose to close your account permanently.

Safety rating

80/100 Good safety approach, apart from self-exclusion
  • Three RG tools available
  • ECDSA 256-bit encryption
  • Self-exclusion only available for 10 years

There were a lot of things I was happy with at Mega Frenzy when it came to safety. One of these is the use of ECDSA technology with its encryption, as this shows the sweeps casino prioritizes safety and goes a little further to secure it.

I was also pleased to see an FAQ on fairness. I don’t often come across any reference to fairness or RNGs in sweeps casinos, so I appreciated Mega Frenzy acknowledging it.

I think the biggest issue here is self-exclusion. It’s a great RG tool, almost every sweeps casino has it, but why is it only available for 10 years? This feels extreme.

Having both timeouts and self-exclusion is great because it highlights different player needs, and it lets players know there are different kinds of breaks they can take. However, the timeout has a maximum of 365 days. Jumping from a one-year timeout to 10 years of self-exclusion is unreasonable.

Typically, self-exclusion is offered for multiple periods, starting at six months and increasing from there. For example, SweepNext offers both timeouts and self-exclusion. Its timeouts are available for seven, 14, or 30 days. Self-exclusion starts at six months, but can be extended as needed.

Apart from this, Mega Frenzy’s RG section is good. I’d like to see the inclusion of other limit settings, like bet limits, but I think the 10-year self-exclusion period is a bigger issue.

Reaching out to support at Mega Frenzy

Players looking for help have three ways they can reach out to support at Mega Frenzy: live chatbot, email support, and FAQs. The live chatbot is only available to registered players and covers the standard questions.

This includes categories like purchases, redemptions, gameplay, and bonuses. The bot will give you scripted answers based on the question you select.

When you need a more descriptive response, you can reach out to a human agent via email. The email service is available 24/7, but the listed average response time could be up to 24 hours. My personal experience was an hour.

Before using either of these methods, you can check the FAQs section, found via the footer or sidebar menu. This has several questions and answers on coins, games, technical issues, banking, and more general questions around your account.

Support rating

88/100 Standard sweeps support offering
  • 24/7 support
  • Decent FAQs section
  • Live chat with a bot
  • Email responses can take time

Support at Mega Frenzy isn’t unlike the support you’ll find at most sweeps casinos. It’s pretty good that we have three ways of accessing support, although there are some issues with each of them.

The live chat feature is cool to have, but I always have an issue with a live chat that’s only operated by a bot. It offers a limited experience that I feel is only slightly better than an FAQs section. The responses Mega Frenzy’s live chat bot provides are decent, but you’ll likely end up turning to email support for additional information.

My experience with email support was fine. I waited for around an hour on average for a response, which isn’t the fastest way to get help, but it’s much better than the potential 24 hours that Mega Frenzy mentioned. To compare, SpinBlitz took around five hours to answer me when I used the contact form.

The responses I received from the email support agents were good, too, and if their response time was a little faster, I’d say email support would be enough. The FAQs are a good first port of call. There aren’t many questions, but the standard selection you’d expect in an FAQs section is there.

If customer support is a make-or-break criterion for you, I’d suggest trying SpeedSweeps. The 24/7 live chat has real agents who respond in minutes.

The usability of Mega Frenzy’s platform

Mega Frenzy has a comfortable navigation style and an appealing design. To find major pages, like popular games, slots, promotions, or FAQs, you can use the sidebar menu on the left-hand side. You can also access the Frenzy Zone, Hype Club, and Frenzy club from here, along with the Get Coins button.

The footer contains links for the remaining major pages, such as terms and conditions, policy pages, the RG page, and about us.

Mega Frenzy homepage on two mobile devices

The game lobby is easy to get around, but doesn’t have many filters. Featured games, popular games, live games, jackpots, and Hold and Win are what’s available via the lobby. From the sidebar menu, there’s popular games, new games, slots, fishing-themed games, and live games.

Mega Frenzy doesn’t have a search bar that you can use to search for specific games.

Mega Frenzy’s design is based on a purple and white colorway. There are small touches of the Mega Frenzy brand, like the crown icon and pops of yellow.

The site functions well, though sometimes there’s a lag between loading a new page. For mobile users, there isn’t a dedicated Mega Frenzy app or web app, but the site runs smoothly on mobile browser. It’s completely scrollable and adjusts to the smaller screen without compromising the design or experience.

Usability rating

80/100 Appealing, clean design and simple UX
  • Works well on mobile
  • Clean navigation
  • No search bar
  • Can be laggy

Mega Frenzy does well in terms of appearances. The UX is very well laid out, putting the pages you’re most likely to reach for in the handy sidebar menu, and the design is easy on the eyes, too. I really liked that the background was white, it contrasts nicely with the purple elements, and it made everything easier to read.

The small touches of the Mega Frenzy brand are cute, too. The small crowns are cool, and the 3D-style illustrations are playful. I really liked the 3D characters designed for the customer testimonials. They add something different to the standard sweeps pages. They’re also wearing little Mega Frenzy crowns, which is a nice detail.

The only issue I encountered here was the lag. This happened especially with the promotions page. If I clicked on a specific promotion to read about it, then clicked back, the page would appear like it wasn’t responding. I’d then click back again, and after another lag, I’d be taken back to the homepage. It happened almost every time and got a little frustrating.

The game lobby’s filters are a little basic, but it doesn’t really get in the way of finding different game types. There aren’t so many games available that you need an extensive range of filters.

What I felt was a bigger issue was the lack of a search bar. This is a tool that I really rely on, as many players do, and without a simple search bar, I couldn’t check for specific games or game types.
