Expert verdict
Betway is a decent sportsbook overall. Odds are fair, the platform is great to navigate, and the customer support team offers stellar customer service.
However, I can’t help but be a little bit disappointed with this site. For such a big name on the market, I expected a lot more in just about everything. More sports, more markets, more promos. The welcome bonus is a not-too-shabby Bet$25 Get $150 (that’s right, and on a win at that), but it hardly compares to some of the more lucrative offers currently on the market.
Look, I’m not saying this is a bad sportsbook. There’s a lot to like here, and you’ll certainly have a good time betting on some unique sports like jai alai. Unfortunately, Betway struggles to stand out from the crowd and I’m spotting more and more usability problems each time I check in. Ultimately, Betway provides a sportsbook that’s good, but has a long way to go towards excellence.

Betway’s new sportsbook welcome bonus is reshaping the standard offer we’re used to seeing. The bookie did away with risk-free bets on losses, and introduced a Bet $25, Get $150 if the first bet wins.
In my book that’s substantially better than the previous risk-free bet of $250, and the boost to $150 instead of a typical wager match is actually quite nice. Not to mention uncommon, I can’t think of another bookie willing to slap $125 on top of an already winning bet at this time.
The odds requirements are also fair, and there are no current Betway bonus codes I’m aware of (so you won’t have to search high and low for the best deal out there).
As for a VIP program, that’s one thing Betway doesn’t have. The offering here is a bit lacking, with long-term players needing to stick to football and parlays to get any bonuses at all.
Betway’s online sportsbook also normally offers several recurring bonuses, but at the time of this update (October, 2024), the offers are suspended in most states, and the linked terms and conditions result in a 404.
Until I can confirm the validity and terms of the offers, including the welcome bonus, I can’t confidently recommend this sportsbook’s promotional offers.

I’m not going to lie, I was very disappointed in Betway here. If a sportsbook lives and dies on its sports offering, then someone needs to get Betway on life support because this offering is pitiful.
Let’s start with the good. It’s rare I get to see lacrosse or jai alai available anywhere. Even if the total number of sports is low, it’s nice to see Betway have great variety in what is available. Being official partners with events such as the NFL also helps guarantee a nice variety of betting options for them.
Now the bad. No baseball, in a US sportsbook, really? I get trying to have offerings beyond the popular sports, but the popular ones still need to be there.
I’m also shocked to see many sports like boxing sometimes have only 1 betting option, winner after full-time. Sports is exciting because of all the unpredictable things that can happen, so let the players have fun with that.

It’s nice to see Betway stepping up its game in the live betting department. Live betting is quick and easy, with odds being updated rapidly as the matches progress. Betway also delivers a ton of data to help you make informed decisions.
It’s a shame to not have a live stream available, as that would make Betway online sportsbook one of the best live betting sites in the business. What is here though is excellent, and further improved by the early cashout system.
It’s also nice to see a site that lets you change how the odds are displayed. I prefer American odds myself, but the option to see them as decimals or fractions can help other players out there who are not used to the American system.

I’m sure you’re a bit confused seeing me put boosted odds in both the “pro” and “con” sections. Allow me to explain.
Boosted odds are always fantastic to see, there’s no denying that. But when I opened the boosted odds menu and saw only one bet on one soccer match with boosted odds, I couldn’t help but feel let down. It’s like having a candy shop that only sells one chocolate bar, even if it’s great you still expect a bit more.
Everything else on offer is solid. Odds are fair and in line with industry standards, and live odds are updated quickly. The live odds are a bit low, but this is the norm for sportsbooks so we’ll close an eye there.

I’m especially pleased with the instant deposits, though the lengthy wait time for withdrawals is a bit annoying. Bet365 allows players to withdraw within 24 hours, so it would be nice to see Betway do the same.

I have to be honest, I knew Betway was safe the moment I saw it available in nine states, so all this section has done is prove what I already knew. It’s hard enough getting a license in one state, let alone nine of them.
It’s not just a matter of getting the license, you need to maintain a standard of safety or the license will be stripped away. This means Betway has the eyes of nine licensing boards observing it, ready for any slip-up it commits.
So yeah, you’ve got nothing to fear concerning your payment information. It’s also nice to see Betway go the extra mile with its RG section and take care of its players. There are a ton of tools available, and the exclusion and cooling-off periods have a nice variety to them.
The collaboration with Iowa state for a statewide exclusion program is also a nice tough. The only thing stopping Betway from getting a perfect score is it not having its own dedicated RG platform.

This section is entirely powered by how helpful Betway’s support team was. They were great to talk to, giving quick and helpful answers wherever they could.
It’s also nice to see that Betway sportsbook has a pretty extensive FAQ page. You’ll most likely find whatever you need over there without needing to contact anyone, which is a big plus.
This doesn’t entirely forgive the problem of there not being phone support or dedicated email support, but it does help quite a lot. In my eyes, Betway has excellent customer service.
Betway platforms — app and web browser
Registration is quick at Betway, with few fields that can be filled in in 3 minutes or less. It helps that there are no Betway sportsbook bonus codes to input, letting you get straight to registration and claiming your welcome bonus.

If you’re looking for a sportsbook with an excellent app, then you have it here. Betway’s app, as well as its desktop platform, is smooth and easy to navigate. I’m personally a big fan of the black color scheme and the menus that make efficient use of the space available.
Registration is simple and quick, and you can jump right into betting with your bonuses being activated immediately (or at least till you do your first deposit). There are also plenty of options to find the sport or match you want, with some very helpful filters and a nifty search bar.
It’s a shame there’s no other offering, especially since the PA and NJ sites do have a casino, but for IA it’s just the sportsbook that’s available.
