Important update (July 2023)

WynnBet is moving their site to a new platform in the states of: Louisiana, Tennessee, Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, New York, and Indiana.

If you live in these states, we do not recommend signing up with WynnBet at this time. Your bonuses will not transfer over to the new website.

Wait for the move to be complete. If you live in one of the affected states, check out our list of the best online betting sites you can use until WynnBet has completed their moving process.

States of New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, and Massachusetts will not be affected by this.

Expert verdict

WynnBET NJ has some strong points, which mean it’s worth consideration. For example, the customer support is good, there’s a decent range of payment options, and the bonuses are easy to claim and use, even if they aren’t the biggest you’ve seen.

There were also areas where the sportsbook didn’t meet my expectations, particularly the design and layout, the choice of betting markets, and the odds. There are several smaller tweaks that the operator could make to put customers first and to make the site stand out.

What I did appreciate were the betting features. The cash-out opportunities were wide-ranging, and the bet builder gives the full range of betting systems with clear instructions. While live streaming is missing, the animations and stats are a helpful addition. Since the depth of events and markets is in soccer and basketball, the site would support those sports fans.

WynnBET sportsbook in New Jersey and other states

WynnBET has been operating in New Jersey since 2020. The Garden State was one of the first to make online gambling legal and has a thriving competitive market, with WynnBET finding success there. Thanks to its existing example in NJ, the brand could roll out other versions of the site in states as the gambling laws changed.

Sports betting at WynnBET is now possible in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Virginia. As the status of online sports betting changes in other states, there’s a chance that the company will continue to expand its operation.

WynnBet in Arizona

WynnBET was one of the first operators to launch in AZ when betting went live in September 2021. It was good timing for the NFL season and made for a promising start for WynnBET sportsbook Arizona. There’s no casino play for that version, but most of the rest of the site closely resembles the NJ version.

Licensed and regulated by the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG).

WynnBet Colorado

Not long after the New Jersey site was established, the Colorado version launched. It’s a sportsbook-only site that works well through the mobile app. The sportsbook has partnered with the MLB team, the Colorado Rockies.

Licensed and regulated by the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR).

WynnBet in Indiana

WynnBET was the tenth operator to launch its services in Indiana. The sportsbook went live in April 2021. You’ll find the same welcome bonus, bet types, and most other features on the desktop and app versions in IN.

Licensed and regulated by the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC).

WynnBet in Louisiana

WynnBET sportsbook Louisiana built up the tension by starting pre-registration in January 2022. The welcome offer of $200 free bets after you settle your bet of $10 stands the same for customers in the Bayou State.

Licensed and regulated by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB).

WynnBet in Michigan

The Michigan version of the WynnBET site includes a sportsbook and a casino. It launched in January 2021 and was one of the first to make an impression in the market. The app gives you access to both gambling opportunities, making it a good option for an all-in-one app.

Licensed and regulated by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB).

WynnBet in New York

One of the most recent additions to the WynnBEt portfolio, the sports betting site went live in New York in February 2022. It entered the market less than a month after the general launch of online sportsbooks in NY.

Licensed and regulated by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYCGC).

WynnBet in Tennessee

WynnBET Tennessee was the sixth launch in a short period. The company has expanded rapidly as more states adjusted their gambling laws. It joined six other sportsbooks already live in the Volunteer State.

Licensed and regulated by the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council (TSWC).

WynnBet in Virginia

WynnBET Virginia is a sportsbook-only site. It launched in March 2021. The mobile app and desktop site offer the same features, promotions, and markets that you can find at most other WynnBET sportsbooks.

Licensed and regulated by the Virginia Lottery (VL).

WynnBET sportsbook NJ bonuses

Bonus rating

73/100 Easy to access bonuses
  • Regular promotions for existing players
  • Low wagering requirements
  • Smaller amounts
  • Mostly free bets

It’s fair to say that I’m on the fence regarding WynnBET’s bonuses. On the one hand, I like that players in Michigan and New Jersey are given an extra $50 to spend on casino games. But then again, why not extend this to all states? No-one likes that fomo feeling, right?

That said, I do like that you’re actually given free bets. It doesn’t matter if you win, lose, or push. I prefer this approach to the risk-free bet you get at BetMGM sportsbook review, as if you win, you don’t really get a bonus.

I also like that there’s only a 10x wagering requirement for the casino bonus, which is quite on the low side. All that’s needed is for Wynnbet to extend the courtesy to other state players.

The WynnBET bonus codes you need

To claim the welcome offer, you can enter the WynnBET promo code XTIME2PLAYVIP when you first sign up.

WynnBET Spin Wheel

When placing a parlay bet, you might notice the Spin Wheel appear. It gives you a shot at prize draws, an odds boost, or another reward. The wheel is randomly triggered for parlay bets, and the more legs in your selection, the more likely you’ll see it.

You usually need at least 5 Wynn Chips to earn a spin of the wheel. These chips are awarded when you deposit. You get one spin of the wheel, and it can’t be triggered when using a free bet.

WynnBET NJ rewards

Wynn Rewards is a three-tier loyalty scheme covering online play and participation at Wynn Resorts. As you play, you earn Tier Credits, which help you move from red to black and then platinum level. You also earn FREECREDIT, a points system that can be used in the rewards store and where credits are exchanged for bonuses.

Players also earn COMPDOLLARS. These can be used at Wynn Resorts properties on suites, restaurants, and other entertainment venues. Depending on your tier, there are other perks, such as special event invitations, discounts, and priority services at resorts.

Sports and markets

Our WynnBET sportsbook review found that the site has a small range of sports to bet on, although it varies through the seasons as different activities take place. The menu’s fixed list of A to Z sports includes baseball, basketball, boxing, football, ice hockey, MMA, soccer, and tennis. However, it’s clear from the filters that wagers for golf and motor racing are also available.

The search function also brings up results for rugby and Olympic events. The major events are covered, but the site is missing growing areas like esports betting and niche but popular sports like cycling, cricket, volleyball, swimming, and darts.

Within the covered options, you can find the popular US leagues, college sports, international competitions, and leagues from countries all over the world. Most events have several bet types. Some stick to the three basics of spread, moneyline, and totals, whereas soccer betting has iterating alternatives, like prop bets, Asian handicaps, and score markets.

Once you narrow down your selection to a sport or event, you’re shown the options in three categories, popular, soon, and, when available, future bets. Now you have the facts, it’s time to explore our expert’s opinion on the betting markets in this WynnBET sportsbook review.

Let’s find out how our expert rated the betting markets of not only the popular sports but everything else available for wagers at WynnBET sportsbook New Jersey.

Sports and markets rating

34/100 An underwhelming experience
  • International coverage for basketball and soccer
  • Some future bets
  • Small sports selection
  • General limited market depth

I struggled to appreciate the sports markets at WynnBET. In all fairness, it didn’t help that I explored the site when most major sports, like NFL and college football, and the MLB, were in the off-season or schedules weren’t out. Even so, I expected the sportsbook to be more organized with upcoming games. Perhaps it would have been a different story if I had visited during March Madness or in the NFL regular season.

Either way, the fact that WynnBET NJ doesn’t list all the sports markets it covers in its A to Z list is strange. It makes the selection look smaller and makes bettors like me do the hard work to find what I want. Even if the sport isn’t taking place that week, knowing that I’ll be able to place wagers on an event in the future definitely impacts my decision to sign up.

I feel that WynnBET sportsbook NJ is a decent option for basketball and soccer fans. The international coverage means you can get immersed in making predictions on those games most days of the year. The depth of those markets is the standout feature for WynnBET, whereas the others are pretty standard in terms of total, spread, and moneyline options. I’d prefer a few more options to be able to shop around for value.

Additional market details

College sports at WynnBET NJ

You can wager on college sports in line with the New Jersey betting rules, which prohibit wagers on NJ teams or games taking place within the state. You’ll find options for hockey, basketball, and football.

Popular bets

The most popular bets are almost always available for all the sports listed. You can choose spread, moneyline, and totals. Some events also have alternative lines for you to check out.

Props, futures, and non-sporting events

For some sports, like soccer, you can find the game and team props, which revolve around specific events happening that aren’t tied to the overall game result. Some competitions also have future bets, which are put up months in advance, with odds on World Series winners, MVPs, and other categories. One area that’s noticeably lacking from the WynnBET list is non-sporting events. If you want to make predictions on award winners or elections, you won’t find that there.

Betting features

WynnBET New Jersey has added some features, which you can find in several sportsbooks, to enhance the betting experience. Most bets have a cashout option, although whether you’re offered full or partial cashout depends on individual circumstances. Look for the green money symbol to know if the bet is eligible.

The bet slip includes a bet builder. Once you add selections, you can move between parlay, straight, teaser, or round robin bet to create something different. Each section has instructions on what to do to meet the minimum requirement for that bet type. Odds are updated reasonably quickly and will show with green or red in your bet slip if you haven’t already confirmed your selection.

Live streaming isn’t available. However, the live scoreboard includes animations, graphics, and statistics. In-play betting covers several sports, including ice hockey, soccer, basketball, and baseball. Most events have a few specific live markets, such as quarters bets, winner of the next set, or the next team to score.

It’s not possible to quickly place a bet with one click. It’s easy to add a selection to the bet slip. Finding specific matches by browsing is not straightforward, but the search function works, and you can look for team names, leagues, and sports.

On paper, WynnBET NJ has some top features that anyone would want from a sportsbook. Let’s see if the actual experience of using them impressed our expert.

Betting features rating

77/100 Betting features are great
  • All betting systems available
  • Bet builder in the bet slip
  • No live streaming
  • Not enough in-play bet types

I was pleasantly surprised by the betting features I found during my WynnBET sportsbook review. Having the bet builder as part of the bet slip made it easy to add selections and use a betting system. Being able to switch between the four different types meant I could compare. I also thought the instructions for what to add would be handy for less experienced users. I also found the cashout function easy to use, and there are more potential cash-out bets at this site than most others I’ve seen.

I was disappointed by the live betting options. In all honesty, I was satisfied with the sports and events covered. I didn’t feel like the site made the most of the in-play opportunities, though. Some events just had the standard spread, moneyline, and totals bets but with odds that updated as the action changed. Some markets did embrace it and were more exciting to play that way,

I hope that WynnBET sportsbook New Jersey will consider adding live streaming in the future as it would make for a more immersive betting experience. I liked the pitch and scoreboard animations and statistics, which helped me follow what was happening and informed me when making decisions for my next bet.

Additional betting feature details

Full and partial cashouts

The green symbol that looks like several bills shows you whether a particular bet has the cashout option. You won’t know what kind of cashout you can expect until you visit the ‘my bets’ section of the bet slip. If you click on cashout, it’ll show you whether you are eligible for a full or partial cashout.

Remember that cashing out bets that are part of a promotion likely means you’ll lose your reward.

The difference between parlays, teasers, and round robin bets

The bet builder at WynnBET NJ makes it reasonably easy to understand these different betting systems. If you add a few events to your bet slip, you could place straight bets, where each event stands alone and payout as normal. Clicking parlay will combine the odds to give you a bigger payout, but if one leg loses, so do you.

As the bet slip explains, teaser bets need to be formed with at least two spread or total wagers on football or basketball. Your last option is a round robin, which you can form with three bets or more. The bet builder creates different combinations of your selections, meaning you’re placing multiple bets.

WynnBET sportsbook odds

The odds across the site vary depending on the sport you’re betting on. Generally, WynnBET sportsbook payouts are around average or slightly below average for the industry. The best value markets can be found for the less popular sports. Once you get away from the major leagues, you can get around a 96% payout percentage for some MMA matches. Boxing can range between 955 and 94%, meaning there’s value to be found there too.

The average basketball payout percentage is close to 94% for the mainstream markets, and that for football betting is slightly lower and just over 93%. Live margins are typically the biggest at all sportsbooks, and WynnBET is no different. The WynnBET sportsbook payouts have an average percentage of 92% on in-play bets.

Odds and payout percentages are a useful guide for the value you’ll get from your bets, which is why they’re included in this WynnBET online sportsbook review. Not all sportsbooks have the same odds, so understanding the payout percentage can help you decide where to bet for certain sports. Let’s find out what our expert makes of the WynnBET sportsbook odds.

Odds rating

70/100 Take advantage of reduced juice or an odds boost
  • Good payout percentage for MMA
  • Regular reduced juice betting
  • Low in-play payout percentage
  • Low football and overall payout percentage

The payout percentages at WynnBET sit on the lower side of what I would hope to see. Many sportsbooks offer similar odds, so I won’t be too harsh on WynnBET as it is close to the industry average.

I’m pleased to see some areas with good value, like MMA. The basketball payout percentage is better than I had thought, but I am disappointed with the football margin.

Additional details related to odds

What payout percentages mean

Payout percentages are the opposite of the bookmaker’s margin, so they’re what you get from the bet minus what the sportsbook keeps. Other names for the margin are the vig or the juice. Reduced juice bets mean the sportsbook has shrunk its margin giving more of the payout to the bettor. Odds boosts provide better odds than would normally be found, which means the bet will pay out more than the standard offering.

Payments at WynnBET sportsbook

To play at the sportsbook, you need to deposit, and to make the most of your winnings, withdrawals are essential. There are nine betting payment methods, although they aren’t all available for deposit and withdrawal. To add funds to your account, you can use PayPal, Play+ card, online banking, Visa, MasterCard, wire transfer, cash at Caesar’s casino cage in Atlantic City, or VIP Preferred.

The minimum deposit is $20. Withdrawals start from $20 and can be done via PayPal, Play+ card, online banking, VIP preferred, check, wire transfer, and cash at Caesar’s casino cage. Note: The minimum deposit for PayPal and Trustly is $50.

Many of these are widely used popular methods. There aren’t any fees for transactions. Maximum limits aren’t made clear as they are set by the third-party payment provider Global Payments.

Typically, deposits arrive instantly or at least within 15 minutes. Withdrawals take longer as an approval process is involved. Most methods should arrive in your account within 24 to 48 hours.

As seen at other sportsbooks, a dedicated banking page with all of the information would be more useful to prospective customers. Most of the necessary details are there if you comb through the FAQ pages. Once you sign up, it’s easier to head to the cashier and review your options. All of these factors were considered when forming an opinion in our WynnBET online sportsbook review.

Some stuff depends on states too — WynnBET performs particularly well against Virginia online gambling sites, for example.

WynnBET NJ compares favorably to other online sportsbooks regarding payment methods. It isn’t the longest list, but the variety and inclusion of hassle-free options, like PayPal and online banking, mean most customers won’t have an issue. The fact that there are no transaction fees is also a positive sign.

Payments rating

69/100 Could provide better information.
  • No transaction fees
  • Average minimum deposit and withdrawal
  • Disorganized payment information
  • Transaction times are ok by could be faster

I found the payments at WynnBET NJ to be adequate for my needs. It didn’t cause me any problems, which meant I could stay focused on betting. At the same time, there wasn’t anything remarkable about the service, and it didn’t feel like the operator was going above and beyond to make things easier for me.

My first impressions were formed when I deposited. I’ve come to accept $10 to be the industry standard for the minimum, so slight disappointment there. I was pleased that there were no fees for any of my transactions, and my funds were available by the time I was ready to wager.

Browsing the site to get a better idea of the payment options left me confused. WynnBET New Jersey could undoubtedly better provide information about the available payment methods and limits.

With the average customer in mind, I think the choice of banking methods is acceptable. Most people will already have at least one of these and use them frequently, so no extra effort is needed. The withdrawal time of around 48 hours isn’t the fastest, but I think it’s acceptable for approval and transfer time. I found the $20 minimum reasonable too.

How to deposit and withdraw

You need to be signed in to add funds. Head to the cashier page in your account and choose from the deposit methods available, then enter your amount and confirm. For withdrawals, you’ll need to have verified your account as part of the KYC or know your customer process. After that is complete, you head to the cashier, choose your provider and enter the amount to withdraw.

Transaction fees

WynnBET sportsbook NJ doesn’t charge any fees. Your bank or card provider might, though, so it could be worth finding out from them whether there are any charges or blocks on certain transactions.

Safety and fairness

Safety is a core feature of our WynnBET online sportsbook review. WynnBET New Jersey has a license from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) and transparent terms and conditions that let users know where they stand. Instead of being available from the website footer, you need to access them from the Patron Protection page. The terms are detailed and include different sections on important topics, such as rewards, location verification, and dispute resolution.

There’s a separate page dedicated to responsible gambling. It provides phone numbers to support lines, links to organizations, and warning signs of problem gambling. WynnBET sportsbook NJ has also put in place tools and measures to help customers, which are set out on the page. They include notifications when deposits exceed a certain threshold, limits to time, deposits, and spending, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion.

WynnBET has licenses in nine states, evidence that it runs an operation that meets independent authority standards. The ability to run that many successful sites is also a sign that WynnBET has the structure to protect its customers.

64/100 A trustworthy operation.
  • NJDGE license and licensed in eight other states
  • Useful tools for limits and self-exclusion
  • Terms and conditions could be easier to find
  • Operator could use do more for account security

Once again, I find WynnBET sportsbook NJ sitting firmly in its comfort zone. It has done all the right things for its customers, more or less, but it isn’t out there winning best operator of the year awards.

The brand has been working on its reputation, as having a resort in Las Vegas is no longer enough to compete with the might of DraftKings sportsbook and FanDuel sportsbook. The additions of Shaquille O’Neal and Ben Affleck to its branding will have helped, but it’s the content that will really impress me. I was happy to find some substance to the safety and fairness elements of the site.

The responsible gaming page connected me to the main problem gambling institutions in the state. Plus, I thought the advice and information about spotting an addiction to be useful and sensitively handled. The tools impressed me most, though, as I think each player should have control over what they spend and how long they play, and those limits will benefit many.

Additional safety details

What a sportsbook license means

A licensed sportsbook meets certain standards set out by an independent body. These rules can differ by state organization but often include conditions around bonus transparency, advertising, protection of minors, and fairness. It also means that the site is part of the local system, where tax revenue goes toward community projects, such as responsible gambling programs, education, or crime prevention.

Account security

Online operators often put the responsibility of account security on the individual user. The site itself has SSL encryption to protect data and transactions, but you are responsible for keeping your username and password secure. Some operators make that easier by using more advanced systems, like two-factor authentication for your account.

Customer support

There are three customer support contact methods available at WynnBET sportsbook NJ. They are live chat, phone, and email. You can send an email day or night, but the live chat and phone line don’t operate 24/7. You can reach out between 8.30 am and 2.00 am EST from Monday to Sunday.

If you have a query, the first place to visit is the FAQ page. It covers topics like payments, promotions, accounts, and rewards. You’ll find all of the contact details there, including the email address and phone number. Access to live chat is easier once you’re logged in, but you can still click the support bubble from the FAQ home even if you aren’t registered.

While availability and a choice of contact methods are essential, we also value friendly, polite, and informed responses that don’t leave you waiting too long. Let’s see what our expert made of the service in the WynnBET online sportsbook review.

Support rating

85/100 Live chat should be 24/7
  • Quick response via live chat
  • Fairly comprehensive FAQ page
  • Live chat isn’t 24/7

I’m impressed with the customer support at WynnBET NJ. While it’s true it could do more, such as live chat 24/7, overall, I think it has struck the right balance to meet customers’ needs. With matters that weren’t urgent, I was content to browse the FAQ or send an email and wait for a response, which usually came that day or the following one.

Live chat is a convenient option for more immediate responses. I got an answer within a few minutes, although it involved some back and forth messages to clear things up. The tone of the support agent was polite, and even though they checked their information guide, they still came across as knowledgeable, so I trusted and felt satisfied with the response.

I’m really happy to see a phone option to save the hassle of explaining yourself in writing. It can be easier to express things that way and have a more personal approach, which I appreciated.

Our experience with the customer support

The live chat at WynnBET will first take you to any articles relevant to your query, a good time-saving device for everyone. You can skip that step and click ‘live chat’ to get to speak to someone. If you aren’t signed in, you’ll need to enter your name, email, and state, then write your message. It’s efficient because the answers you get will be accurate to your situation. However, it does add to the time the interaction takes.

WynnBET’s platform

In terms of appearance, the WynnBET site isn’t the most appealing. The blue and brown design makes it look old-fashioned, especially compared to most other bookmakers, like William Hill, BetMGM, and DraftKings, who all stick to clean lines with a hint of luxury.

Wynnbet New Jersey sportsbook app is easier to navigate than the desktop site in some instances. If you don’t have the browser window full screen on your desktop, all the menus and widgets start to overlap, making it hard to browse.

WynnBet Sportsbook Mobile Screenshot

The registration button is evident on any page you visit, and the three-step process is clear. The welcome bonus can be claimed with a Wynnbet sportsbook promo code, but all others are just as easy to trigger by clicking the ‘opt-in’ button.

The menus don’t list all the available options, which is why using the search function is better. To visit any other pages, you need to check the footer or go to the FAQs to get information.

The WynnBET NJ sportsbook FAQ design shows what this operator could achieve. It has plenty of white space, gold and blue touches, and a few eye-catching images. Appearance isn’t everything, but it will have impacted our expert’s opinion.

Platform rating

70/100 Search function, signup, bonus claiming, and the app work fine.
  • Useful search function
  • iOS and Android apps that are easy to use
  • Outdated design
  • Browser navigation isn’t intuitive

I think the platform has some significant design flaws, especially when it comes to the desktop site. When I’m betting on my PC, I have one tab open with some stats and fixtures and another for my wagers. Arranging both tabs on the screen with one half each was a challenging experience. The bet slip kept covering the bet options in the center, and the menu was a transparent overlay on some other text, so I didn’t know where to click.

Having only launched in 2020, I expected a more modern feel to the appearance and the practical elements like menu navigation. That being said, I did like the WynnBET sportsbook app, and scrolling through using my thumb was much easier than browsing the desktop site.

I think that making it easy for customers to browse and place bets should be priority number one. The site has got some things right, such as straightforward registration and clear instructions for claiming bonuses. If it could apply the same approach to its layout and menus, it would be much better.

WynnBET Interface

The WynnBET NJ site has four main tabs to explore. One houses the sportsbook; another has the casino, and then live betting and promotions. Switching between those four is straightforward. However, the menus on the page are less intuitive. The A-Z sports list doesn’t contain all the sports. You can usually get around that by using the search function or the sports filters to get to where you want to go quickly.

App download

The WynnBET NJ sportsbook app is available to download. Android users can find it in the Play Store and iOS users in the App Store. You’ll need to allow access to your location settings so that the WynnBET sportsbook app knows you’re in the state of New Jersey and can use the features.
