Editor's note
Expert verdict
FanDuel is an above-average casino that treats its players well, both in terms of regular promotions for existing users and top-tier customer support.
It does a lot of things well, even if it never quite matches the very top of the industry. Its total games (2,050), software providers (27+), and payment methods (12) are all great examples of where FanDuel has impressive numbers, but still falls a little short of the likes of BetMGM.
But that’s hardly a major negative and is more of a side effect of building a brand that’s synonymous with the best in its other venture, sports betting.
With top-tier app usability, competitive bonuses, 1x wagering requirements across all bonuses, and 24/7 support, FanDuel is among the most well-rounded casinos out there.
FanDuel’s states
FanDuel launched its Pennsylvania casino in January 2020, becoming the state’s sixth online casino. It then jumped into Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia in 2021.
This review evaluates the Michigan version of FanDuel, and all data is for that location, unless stated otherwise.
If you’re eager to start playing but live in a state where it’s either not legal yet or you can’t find a casino you like, we suggest checking out our top sweepstakes casinos, which are available across the US.

FanDuel bonus — Deposit $10, get 500 Bonus Spins and $40 in Casino Bonus
New players to FanDuel are welcomed with a sign-up offer of 500 Bonus Spins and $40 in Casino Bonus once you deposit $10.
The 500 spins will be awarded in increments throughout your 10 days (50 per day) and will expire seven days after being credited. Both the free spins and the casino bonus can be used for any casino game you like.
Like every FanDuel bonus, this welcome offer has a 1x wagering requirement.
FanDuel also has a second introductory offer — $1,000 Play It Again. However, to be clear, this offer isn’t available to those who sign up for the previous promotion.
Upon making your first deposit and first bet, you’ll unlock your FanDuel casino bonus: 24 hours of reloaded betting. Any net losses you make in your first 24 hours of casino play will be refunded by FanDuel, up to a maximum of $1,000.
Matching 100% of losses up to $1,000 is more than most casinos in the US are willing to do. Even for deposit matches, the average match bonus is only about $350-$750. For cashbacks it’s no contest; Tropicana and Virgin only refund up to $100.
Also, there are technically no wagering requirements. Your refund is awarded as ‘Site Credit’, which can’t be withdrawn, but anything you win with it can be withdrawn instantly. Once you activate the offer within 24 hours, you will receive $25 in site credits for 4 straight weeks (totaling $100).

You don’t need any FanDuel casino promo code to claim the bonus either — it’s awarded automatically upon making your first deposit and bet.
Apart from the welcome bonus, FanDuel casino players have access to sets of temporary promotions, usually one-a-day offers that come around weekly. There is also a referral system where players can get bonus funds by directing friends to the site with their unique referral link.
A detailed loyalty program rounds out the FanDuel casino bonus offering nicely.

First of all, FanDuel gets massive props from me. for its sitewide 1x wagering requirement for bonuses. For me, it’s vital to know what’s needed from me with bonuses, and not only is the 1x requirement great, knowing it’s universal makes things even easier.
Elsewhere, it’s great to see so many offers for existing players. Too many casinos forget about their players once their sign-on bonus is claimed, and we don’t usually see more than 1-3 existing player offers.
The FanDuel casino promos are abundant. At the time of writing, there are five existing player offers, the referral program, and the loyalty points system, which awards points and perks based on your wagering.
Overall, FanDuel gives enticing bonuses that are all the more enjoyable thanks to the low wagering requirements.

FanDuel casino promo code
Lots of people ask about this, and it’s understandable. FanDuel casino used to require a promo code for its welcome bonus. It no longer does. The welcome bonus activates once you make a deposit and make your first bet. The bonus code boxes are still present on the site for inputting referral codes from the refer-a-friend program. Still, future temporary promotions may require a code, so keep an eye out.
FanDuel refer-a-friend
FanDuel offers users $100 for every friend that signs up using your exclusive referral link. Your friend must also wager $10+ within 30 days of signing up to qualify. The $100 is a casino bonus, so it can’t be used on FanDuel’s sportsbook. It also expires 14 days after receipt and is non-withdrawable.
FanDuel loyalty program
FanDuel casino shares a loyalty program with Stardust casino, giving players points and rewards based on their wagering. Each bet you make generates ‘tier points’ and ‘bonus points’. They are awarded at the same rate but do different things. Bonus points can be redeemed for cash and prizes, while Tier points take you to higher levels of the loyalty program, which give better rewards.
Points are generated at the following rates:
- $1 wagered on slots: 5 points
- $1 wagered on table games: 3 points
- $1 wagered on blackjack: 1 point
There are 5 tiers; iron, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. At each level, bonus points can be redeemed for bonus cash with a 1x wagering requirement on that cash. Your tier is calculated at the end of each month, but if you play your way up once, you’ll need fewer points to keep your level. Overview:
Tier | Iron | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum |

Games — FanDuel casino has over 2,000
FanDuel players have a choice of 2,050 games at the time of writing — way ahead of the expected US average of 300-500.
The offering is expectedly slots-heavy, with FanDuel’s slots accounting for around 1,900 of the total. The live casino offers 32 titles, mostly blackjack. Roulette, baccarat, and poker titles are also available for live play. Table games round out the rest, with 67 on the site.

Most casinos don’t run any bespoke or exclusive games, and it’s a plus to see that FanDuel’s blackjack-heavy offering includes a dedicated FanDuel Live Blackjack title. There are also 56 slots that are exclusive to the site.
FanDuel’s online casino impresses with its commitment to transparency—most games’ theoretical RTP can be viewed without launching the game or signing in.
This is not a common thing to see at US online casinos, and the only other name that immediately springs to mind is Golden Nugget, one of our top scorers across the country. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to test these out directly, as – like with Borgata casino online – demos aren’t offered to the playing public, and you won’t get your hands on any FanDuel casino free games.
Games rating
- Over 2,000 games
- 56 exclusive games
- High-stakes options
- No demos
FanDuel’s game library is impressive, with over 2,000 total games and over 1,900 slots.
It isn’t the absolute cream of the crop; that’s BetMGM with over 6,000 games. But FanDuel has worked hard to bolster its library, which once stood at less than 200 total games. It’s now worthy of a top grade and comparable to the likes of BetRivers (around 2,000).
With a strong library comes a strong variety of games. Slots, check. Roulette, check. Blackjack, check. Poker, check. Live games, check. The variety offered here is great.
However, some common ‘side stuff’, like keno, bingo, or scratch cards isn’t to be found here. But FanDuel casino covers its bases by offering all the big-pillar stuff
FanDuel also offers a big live casino section, even if it is largely dominated by different blackjack tables. The fact that a lot of the live games accept high-stakes hands sweetens the deal, too.
The games offered are good too — I’ll focus on this in the software section, but FanDuel isn’t cheaping out. Big names like Divine Fortune, the ever-popular Starburst slot, and Da Vinci Diamonds show up here.
It sucks that you can’t try games as demos, but you could always pop to another site and come back.
Overall, FanDuel has made its game library worthy of its brand and is close to the industry’s other big names.

Software — top names reign at FanDuel
FanDuel online casino hosts games from over 27 different software providers and casino game studios. Seeing that 10-20 is standard across the country, FanDuel is among the most well-represented casinos in terms of providers.

FanDuel doesn’t have any bespoke software available, and no download is required to play any games.
Available software
Software rating
- Good quality software providers
- 27+ providers
- Information about software providers missing
FanDuel has amassed a star group of software providers. The casino had only 11 in its early years and was heavily reliant on NetEnt. But now over 27 software providers help give FanDuel has huge variety of games for players to jump into.
There are very few high-profile providers who aren’t a part of FanDuel’s arsenal. NetEnt remains prominent and is joined by the likes of IGT, Playtech, High 5 Games, Aristocrat, and Pragmatic Play.
As a lover of more niche slots, I was also happy to see the less prominent names like Indigo Magic, PearFiction Studios, and Inspired featured.
FanDuel again can’t quite match BetMGM, which has over 30 providers. But with 27, it does top the likes of Borgata (21+), Caesars (19), BetRivers (13), and SugarHouse (28).
A minor gripe is that I found it difficult to find information about FanDuel’s software providers. Unlike BetMGM, which has dedicated pages to software providers so you can easily find their games, FanDuel doesn’t similarly promote them.
A quick run through the rest of my FanDuel casino review checklist: you can play in-browser and don’t need to download any software to play. That’s a plus. No exclusive software means FanDuel casino misses out on a bonus point. There’s only one live casino provider, but Evolution is the best one. The 24-hour stream and land-based shooting location are a plus.
All in all, FanDuel online casino has grown its software group into a top-class offering.
Payments — 12 methods and counting
FanDuel offers 12 transaction methods, with 11 available for deposits and seven for withdrawals. Across the US, most casinos offer 6-10, while 11-14 is above average but not particularly groundbreaking.
FanDuel gives players all the most important vectors. Online banking, debit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal, credit card, cash at counter, PayNearMe, wire transfer, Play+, and gift card can be used for deposits. For withdrawals, there’s debit card, PayPal, Venmo, online banking, Play+, cash at counter, and check.

FanDuel scores pretty well on deposit and withdrawal limits, with just a $10 minimum deposit, on the low end of the industry’s $10-$15 norm, and marking it as among the best Visa casinos.
Maximum withdrawals vary by payment method. But at the top end, it is $50,000 per transaction, $100,000 per day, $250,000 per week, and $500,000 per month. You’re also required to withdraw your money from a method already used to deposit money onto the site.
When withdrawing for the first time, it can take up to an additional 48 hours for a review by FanDuel’s team, regardless of the method. But after that, it should be within 24 hours for debit cards, PayPal, and Venmo. For online banking, it’ll take 3–5 business days.

Withdrawal methods
Payments rating
- 12 transaction options
- 3 different e-wallets accepted
- Missing Amex, Discover
- Withdrawal methods require deposits first
FanDuel covers nearly the bases you come to expect from a leading name in the industry. Other big casinos do have more options, like BetMGM, which has 15, including the likes of Skrill and American Express that aren’t available at FanDuel.
Still, you won’t be left wanting too much at FanDuel. If e-wallets are your thing, you’re well looked after with PayPal, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
I do have a gripe with Apple Pay only being for deposits, taking away another universal transaction option from players. Still, with seven withdrawal options overall, FanDuel is right there with BetRivers (seven), BetMGM, and Borgata (six).
Another issue for me is only allowing users to withdraw with the method they deposited with. This isn’t uncommon; BetMGM and Borgata are among the casino that also do this. But it is limiting, and less experienced bettors could run into issues.
Overall, I have no major complaints about FanDuel’s payments. Only a few missing top names and minor annoyances hold back its grade in this category.
Safety rating — all okay
Nothing special to say here; it’s incredibly rare to see an operator offer something above-and-beyond in the realm of safety — there isn’t that much ‘extra’ you can do. But FanDuel online casino adheres to all the requirements and is perfectly legal and safe to use.

One thing FanDuel offers that’s slightly unusual is automatic email notifications on sign-in. Technically, it’s not hyper-unusual, but it’s the default setting at FanDuel casino, which is a nice touch if you’re a safety-conscious player.
It’s also great that FanDuel is partnered with physical casinos in every state it’s active in — associating with other licensed brands is never a downside to a security rating.

Safety rating
- All legal stuff is adhered to
- Associated with prominent names
- Nothing particularly unique
FanDuel’s US operations are merged with those of Flutter Entertainment. If you haven’t heard of them, you may know them as Paddy Power Betfair — another big name in the online gambling sites industry. That’s the closest thing to a unique safety offer that FanDuel casino gets – a lot of other licensed names are happy to work with them. It’s certainly a vote of confidence I won’t dismiss.
They work with the Valley Forge Casino in PA, The Greenbrier in WV, the Motor City Casino Hotel in MI, and Meadowlands Racetrack in NJ. With all that, if I didn’t know anything about casinos, I’d sooner trust FanDuel than a random site with no land-based associates.
So, I said FanDuel online casino does all the usual stuff. What does that mean?
– Dedicated responsible gambling pages with links to external organizations
– Clickable seals linking to licensing and auditing authorities
– Readily available, transparent T&Cs
Is there anywhere they could improve? Yes. I’d like them to be a bit more transparent about game fairness. They do have a support article explaining Random Number Generators and how they work, but I’d prefer an explicit statement saying ‘our games are RNG audited.’ Sure, the implication is there, but you can afford to state the obvious when it comes to player safety.
Some sort of award would also bump up the score in this FanDuel casino review as having a reputation to protect gets a bonus point.
Other stuff I like? Sure. Being licensed in four states means FanDuel casino is being watched by a lot of auditors. It’s also positively reviewed on most gambling sites, which is a plus.
FanDuel casino app
The FanDuel casino app can be downloaded on both Android and iOS devices. It’s exactly the same as the desktop version; this makes sense since FanDuel launched on mobile before desktop.
All 2,000+ games are available on mobile, including the 32 live dealer titles. Casinos usually leave out many games in their transfer over to mobile — often between 30-50%. That means mobile is one region where this casino out-Duels the average US mobile casino.
We do have to say that we’re used to mobile apps being a little glitchy and slow, and we’ve highlighted the issue in our Golden Nugget and BetMGM reviews, but we haven’t experienced that at all with the FanDuel casino app. It’s one of the smoothest we’ve tried so far.
Finding your way around the app is no problem — the header bar is the same as the desktop’s, allowing you to quickly locate whatever you are looking for, as discussed in the usability section. A search bar is available to find games and FanDuel casino gets an extra point for offering a ‘favorite games’ tab, which you can curate yourself.
Supported operating systems
Mobile rating
- FanDuel Android & iOS apps
- Glitch-free
- No mobile-specific elements
In terms of smoothness and playability, this app gets top points. I did not have any issues either finding the games I wanted or loading them up. It’s always a great moment when everything from the desktop version is available on the casino app. In this case, I’d say it’s technically slightly less special since FanDuel was a mobile-first casino, but hey, it’s still better than its rivals.
Navigation could be improved by adding filters to help find games, but that’s not a mobile-specific problem. The top scorer for mobile is currently SugarHouse, and that’s the main difference between these two, which is reflected in the points discrepancy.
A couple of other minor points could help FanDuel casino improve its app score. They’re all centered around the fact that nothing at FanDuel is mobile-specific. The interface does get optimized for a smaller screen but doesn’t change much, and there are no mobile-specific bonuses or payment methods on offer. Those aren’t huge issues, but it’s nice when casinos offer them, so we reserve bonus points in that case.
More on the FanDuel casino app
Downloading the FanDuel casino app: Android
These days, FanDuel and other real money Android casino apps are available on the Google Play Store, which wasn’t always the case. Searching for FanDuel Casino over there should sort you out. However, if you can’t find it that way:
- Head to the FanDuel casino website on your Android device.
- A prompt will show up at the top, linking you to the download page
- Click the link and download the app from the Google Play Store
- Accept permissions, log in to your account, and start playing
Downloading the FanDuel casino app: iOS
Heading to the FanDuel casino website on your Apple device should automatically redirect you to the App Store download page. Alternatively, you can get it manually by doing the following.
- Open up the App Store
- Search for FanDuel Casino, and download the app
- Accept permissions, sign in, and get playing
Customer support — live chat and email
Online casino players at FanDuel have the choice of live chat and email, should any problems arise. They’ll also have access to a knowledge base with FAQ and help pages. The only thing missing is a phone option.

We tested each communication method multiple times. The email channel was quite average, with decently detailed responses coming in within a few hours (fastest was ~70 minutes, slowest ~6 hours).
Live chat, though, stood out. Queue times were only a few seconds, and the response quality was excellent. For comparison, queue times of 1-5 minutes are not uncommon in the US. And it’s available 24/7, which is a huge perk. For a concrete comparison, Caesar’s only offers live chat for a few hours every day, and you’ll be queuing for over a minute usually, which is still pretty fast. 888 doesn’t offer live chat at all.
Support rating
- Brilliant live chat staff
- Support available to non-registered players
- No phone support
Not offering phone support knocks a few points off, but on the whole, I think players are in good hands with FanDuel online casino. No phone is the only reason why the operator doesn’t land a perfect score.
I test many support channels, and I can say without a doubt that the FanDuel casino support staff were some of the most knowledgeable and helpful I’ve interacted with in the US casino scene.
Apart from being among the most polite, they were able to answer all the questions I asked with minimal fuss and though they had to put me on hold once or twice to find out some information, I was never waiting more than 3 minutes for a complete and comprehensive answer.
I happened to message on a day when a new promotion started, and while that caused a bit of miscommunication, the staff was extremely patient in the face of that curveball, and they were able to answer details I had about that brand new offering within a few minutes.
Being available 24/7 is brilliant and something we expect from top operators but don’t always get. Unibet is another top name in online gambling that can’t squeeze out a 24/7 dedicated chat. Another point I like is the ability to send a transcript of your support chat to yourself by email. Very handy for keeping records.
Email is useful if you have a specific, non-urgent query, but the live chat is so good that I don’t see why you’d use anything else. The only improvement I could suggest would be making it easier to find / available on the homepage. At the moment, you have to scroll down and find the support page to access it. It’s way easier to find than BetMGM’s or Borgata’s, but SugarHouse’s is accessible with one click from the homepage.
Usability — good, with simple filtering and favorites
On the whole, very usable. The main improvement needed is complex filtering options. The most important stuff you need to know:
There are 10 fields to fill in when registering and 5 other boxes to tick, including the optional 2-factor authentication. There’s another optional field for any FanDuel casino promo code or referral code you might have.
The current default FanDuel casino welcome bonus doesn’t require a promo code.

A search function helps you find games quickly, and different game types are clearly divided into sections. Simple filtering allows you to sort games by title, which isn’t as comprehensive as the great filters at SugarHouse or Golden Nugget but is better than no filtering at all, which isn’t rare for US casinos.

The ability to favorite games and have them appear under a dedicated tab in the top menu is a great spin that we don’t see at too many other online casinos. Good job, FanDuel!
It’s also a plus that you can click on each game and get a banner displaying its theoretical RTP%. Those need to be available to find in-game, but we appreciate that FanDuel casino went out of their way to save players’ time and effort while adding to their transparency.
Usability rating
- Basic filter options
- Favorite games tab
- Most bonuses automatic or easily-activated
- No complex filtering
I think we’ve already covered all the important stuff, but I can elaborate a bit on what I’ve mentioned. FanDuel casino promo codes seem a little out of date. They’re still available, even on FanDuel’s site, and there’s still a box for them on registration. But you don’t need them.
The Play It Again bonus should apply automatically, and for just about everything else, you can head to the promotions tab and hit the opt-in button. I love the favorites tab. It’s not going to change the world, but it’s a quality-of-life bonus offered by FanDuel that I’ve ended up appreciating more than I thought I would.
I also didn’t get any crashes or loading problems, which is something I’d consider pretty basic, except that it happens a lot at online casinos. My one big complaint is the lack of detailed filtering options that let you sort by theme, software, biggest historical win etc.
My verdict for usability in this FanDuel casino review: almost perfect — emphasis on almost.
