Most sports markets on offer

Without question, bet365 is one of the top sites in Australia. It has one of the biggest selections of sporting options out there and we’re going to cover this, and more, in our bet365 review.

As expected, bet365 Australia offers Australian customers access to a wide array of Australian sports including horse races, rugby, Aussie Rules and cricket. Excitingly, both domestic and international major leagues are available.

It’s also possible to use a mobile site to access the different sports betting options. Australian punters have access to live sports too, alongside the ability to live stream popular sports.

Elsewhere, the site has an array of payment methods, good support and competitive fixed odds. Keep reading this betting site review to see if this is the best site for you.

Sports and markets at the bet365 sportsbook

First up, let’s take a look at the betting options available at bet365. After all, it’s important to have a lot of choices if you’re going to take on the bet365 bonus code after you’ve signed up.

Ideally, top sites will have at least 30 sports on offer. bet365 does a whole lot better than this with 39 different sports available. Many of these are top Australian sports as well.

As you can’t get a bet365 sign up bonus – the site is not allowed to advertise these – you will need to make sure that you definitely want to play here. With those 35+ sports though, bet365 covers both the most popular and some of the smaller niche sports.

As outlined in this bet365 review, there is a lot of emphasis on Australia’s favourite sports. Rugby, Aussie Rules, cricket and Australian racing all feature prominently with a range of betting options in place too.

Sports and markets rating

91/100 Impressive selection of different sports
  • Many popular sports
  • Great selection of niche betting options
  • Variety of specials
  • Fewer bets under entertainment

bet365 bookmakers in Australia really doesn’t have much for me to complain about. I really love the fact that Australian sports are prioritised and listed first in the A-Z sports section.

And, of course, I am super impressed with the 46 sports on offer. This beats out every other sportsbook really showing its heels to Elitebet which only has 15 sports options.

The site has a great selection of Australian racing markets too, with top Aussie races listed first. There are a number of other sites that can compete strongly here, one of which is zBet, which is also very strong when it comes to racing bets.

Additional market details: As mentioned, Australian horse racing is a big focus here. You can find a plethora of domestic races on offer with a best price guarantee too. Most Australian racing events can also be streamed live for an even more thrilling experience.

Additional market details: Aussie Rules, a cross between football and rugby and unique to Australia, is one of the most popular Australian sports. There are a large number of markets for this sport including bets on the Brownlow medal, Top 4 finish, season winner, Coleman Medal and so on plus better odds than most sites.

Betting features at Bbet

Impressively, bet365 online sports betting site continues on very strongly when we take a look at the betting features on offer. It’s very important that there are a range of options otherwise the overall experience is lacklustre.

You can find all the main features you’d expect to find. First, there’s a great bet builder option where you can combine a number of different bets into one. Many sports also have the multi maker option.

Early cashout is possible when you bet on and watch live sport via the different broadcasting services that have partnered with bet365. This is full cashout too, so you can try and get a good return.

There are some areas lacking when betting on bet365 Australia. For instance, there are no other system bets available on the betting slip and also a lack of any virtual bets. There’s no betting exchange available here either.

Betting features rating

88/100 Good platform with strong betting features
  • Very user-friendly
  • Live streaming offered
  • Organised sports section
  • The only multi-bets are parlays

Again, this was a section of the site that I don’t really have any issues with. You can watch live sport and get live match alerts to keep you in the loop if you can’t stream.

However, while there are some good betting features, most of these are just standard. bet365 doesn’t really offer anything unique, unlike Dabble, which offers a wealth of social betting features including following friends and copy bets.

You can, however, enjoy a great selection of live betting options and these are better than those at PlayUP. You can make in play bets by yourself or by using Telebet whereas PlayUP only offers live betting via phone.

Additional features: As touched upon, the bet builder is one of the standout options on this site and is part of its great success. Alongside the option to get sports stats, you can combine a number of bets all in one betting slip. These are available for different sports and can give you as many as 12 different selections for a really personalised experience.

bet365 sports betting odds

We always take a look at whether a site has fixed odds and how these odds compare to other sites. In this section, bet365 once again stands out from the rest of the crowd.

We want to see sportsbooks offering around 95% to 97% when it comes to average percentage payout as this is considered excellent by us. If the site has an average payout percentage of less than 93% then we do not consider this a very good option.

be365 is right up there, almost, and its average is virtually at the 95% mark. Some sports are much higher than this though, which helps to put this site ahead of the rest.

Betting odds facts

No bonus bets are advertised. You will need to log in and use a referral code or bonus code to see what is available from this sportsbook. Australian rules dictate no bonus bets can be advertised.

Odds rating

90/100 Very competitive odds across the board
  • Good football payouts
  • Consistently the best odds
  • Live bet payouts are lower

This section continues to keep me impressed with bet365 as a whole. I was hoping that some of the best odds in the Australian betting industry would be found here and I was not disappointed.

Payouts are exactly where I like to see them, especially when it comes to the fixed odds for some sports, which are quite high. This is in direct contrast with BuddyBet which has no fixed odds at all.

There’s great value to be found on each bet and I did find that bet365 tops the list for most racing markets and Australian sports. However, to give it its due, Bookmaker has very competitive odds too, giving bet365 opportunities to remain competitive.

bet365 review of payment methods

Many of you don’t even consider the payment methods you’re going to use when betting on Australian sports. However, you should. Ideally, we want to see ten options on offer for you.

bet365 has 11 different payment methods available. These include a variety of different options such as prepaid cards, debit and credit cards, as well as eWallets, so there’s plenty of choice.

Additionally, there is a low minimum bet and deposit limit of just AU$10 for some payment methods. However, this does vary depending on which option you use – PayPal has a minimum of AU$20 for instance.

There’s a high maximum deposit limit in place if you use card payments, and this is worth making use of if you’re a high roller with a referral code. Deposits are all instant too, with bet365 offering some fast withdrawal times and no fees across the board. This makes up for the lack of a bonus code for many players looking for this type of boost.

Payments rating

85/100 Excellent selection of payment methods including prepaid cards
  • Low minimum deposit and withdrawal limits
  • High maximum limits
  • No transaction fees
  • Only a few eWallets on offer

Once again bet365 has come up trumps. I have to say I was very impressed. bet365 really takes the top spot here with its 11 payment options. No other Aussie sportsbook comes close.

In fact, its nearest rival in this department is Sportsbet with 8 different options. Even then, bet365 has a greater range offering cards, eWallets, bank transfers and even dedicated mobile pay options.

Better still, you can, via some payment methods, get your winnings in less than a day. And, there doesn’t appear to be restrictions after wins, which is the case with Neds. Something that really helped me to bump up this score.

Safety features

This is always a very high priority for us. We will never recommend a site that doesn’t hold a licence, which bet365 does from NTRC thus legitimising it within the Australian iGaming world.

In addition, bet365 has SSL encryption protocols in place. These are there to help prevent third parties from getting their hands on either your personal information or any banking data that you provided to the sportsbook.

The site is also partnered with a number of responsible gaming organisations. You can access these if you need help or get more information on potential gambling problems and how to nip them in the bud.

Safety rating

84/100 Good security that ticks all the boxes
  • SSL encryption in place
  • EGR winning site
  • Excellent responsible gambling policies
  • Average SSL encryption

Once again, I can’t complain when it comes to the safety and security in place here. That being said, it’s all pretty standard with nothing above and beyond on offer from bet365.

There are some down points too. I found that the encryption was only 256-bit which really doesn’t compare to the heights of Ladbrokes with its 2048-bit encryption. However, this is in place across the whole platform.

In fact, this is one area where bet365 really is lacking in my opinion, as other sites such as BetStar have followed in Ladbroke’s footsteps and also offer 2048-bit encryption. I’d like to see bet365 do better here hence the more average score.

Customer support – multiple languages offered

Even though bet365 tends to work very smoothly, we do like to take a look at the support on offer. This should be available in numerous forms and available no matter what time it is.

First up, bet365 offers 24/7 support. Impressively, this is found across all three of their support options – email, live chat and phone line (the latter has two different phones on offer).

Additionally, there is also the option to get in touch and chat via a number of different languages. All you need to do is toggle the site language to the one that you prefer.

There’s an excellent Help section too and this is incredibly comprehensive. It’s a great place to start if you don’t want to contact support just yet. But, if you do end up on support, they’re always very helpful.

Support rating

89/100 Lots of help options including detailed FAQ
  • Multiple languages offered
  • 24/7 live chat
  • Phone lines available
  • Slightly convoluted help centre

If I have to quibble about anything, it’s that the Help centre is a tiny bit convoluted. There are so many options it can take a bit of time to find the topic you actually want.

However, I am not really complaining given the fact that there is a live chat. This emphatically beats out the likes of Bet Deck, which has no live chat and incredibly limited opening hours.

While I was complaining a little bit about the help centre, it is still very detailed even if it takes a bit of time to find your way around. That being said, I vastly prefer this issue to the lack of an FAQ or help section, which is the case with BetGold.

Platform and usability

Being able to access and navigate your way around a sportsbook is important. And this is the case no matter whether you’re joining and betting from a mobile or desktop device.

bet365 has a simple, but effective, design and layout that is the same across all platforms. There’s an app that’s downloadable for both iOS and Android devices or you can use the mobile browser version.

Navigation is excellent here. All the sports are listed alphabetically with quick links on the top left for popular Aussie sports. You can also use the filters or the search function to find specific events.

Platform rating

93/100 Numerous verticals across both desktop and mobile
  • Fast registration
  • Great app
  • Same features on all platforms
  • Rather basic look and design

Yes, you know what I am going to say here. And that’s the fact that this is still a great site. I don’t have much to complain about other than a dark mode would be nice.

The mobile betting app is great and easy to use. I found it to be simpler than the main desktop site which I liked when using the smaller screen. It puts WinnersBet to shame a bit, as that site has no app.

The only close contender here is Unibet with a similarly excellent mobile UI. Though Unibet might just pip bet365 as this site can be a little slow. The slowest thing is verification here, but there’s no complaints from me when it comes to features keeping players safe.

Expert verdict

There’s really not much fault to find with bet365. This exceptional sportsbook offers the largest selection of sports in the country, with a great focus on popular Australian sports, listing them first.

It’s also got a great live sports section where you can even live stream a vast array of different sports too. The site is available on an app, downloadable from the App store or Google Play store depending on your phone operating system.

bet365 is also home to some of the best odds out there and this is the case for live sports too. As per Australian laws, there are no bonus bets advertised here though you can grab a referral code here.

Finally, the site has an array of betting options including an excellent bet builder, the chance to cash out and more. Rounding all of this off is a strong customer service platform and numerous payment methods.

FAQs

Is it safe to use bet365?

Yes, bet365 carefully adheres to Australian law and holds a licence from the NT Racing Commission. Not only that, but it has strong responsible gambling policies in place and follows protection requirements for both the Northern Territory and New South Wales. It’s also protected with SSL encryption protocols to prevent your data from falling into the wrong hands when you play online here. You can claim a referral code when signing up too.

Yes, bet365 is legal in Australia. The betting site is available to Australian punters thanks to its adherence to Australian law. The site holds a licence within the country enabling it to offer its betting features to eligible customers. Does bet365 let you cash out?

Yes, Australian customers who choose to bet live are able to cash out. This means that if you are betting on a match while it’s in play, you can actually end your bet early and claim your winnings. Essentially, this is a way to give you a best win dividend as you can withdraw and claim a bet before the game changes and you potentially lose.

Why is bet365 so good?

There are many reasons why bet365 is a top site. First, it has many sports available to bet on, the largest selection of sports in Australia in fact. Additionally, it offers top sports odds across both domestic and international sports events. It’s also got a great in play section where you can bet live and even enjoy a number of strong live streaming options thanks to the site’s links and partnerships with broadcasting services.

How long does bet365 take to pay out?

Once you’ve funded your account and made a bet, you might get lucky and score a win. Luckily, getting your hands on your winning bets is very easy as the betting interface is incredibly simple to use. There are six different withdrawal options and, depending on which one you use, the payout time varies. Use Mastercard and it’s instant with PayPal and Apple Pay taking 24 hours. All others take anywhere from 1 to 5 days.
