Editor's note
This review is based on the operator’s current offer in Ontario, Canada. Data and analysis below are accurate at the time of the last update, but may be subject to change as the operator’s offer expands.
Expert verdict
Though Yukon Gold has lots going for it, I was a little put off initially because it looks so dated. This casino was established in 2004, and looks like it hasn’t changed much in 20 years. However, Yukon has kept up to date with advancements in casino technology, including in security and game releases.
There are over 1,000 games here and some top-brand developers presented. Players can choose from around 500 slots, including some exclusive titles, by several top-name providers.
Although you can also play RNG table games and poker, the range is otherwise lacking. There are no lotto, keno, or scratch card games, and no live dealer titles. Fans of Evolution will have to go elsewhere, unfortunately.
Another thing I found disappointing is the average RTP of the casino. This is only 93% which is well below average. Players can avoid this, however, by choosing high RTP games from the collection. These include Panda’s Fortune (98%), Wild Swarm (97.2%), Money Train 2 (98%), and Fai Cai Shen (98%).
Payments wise, I felt that Yukon Gold could have done a little better here, though the range does cover most people’s needs. The minimum deposit is standard at $10 but there’s no minimum withdrawal amount mentioned. I took that to mean that this site caters to all types of players. The maximum withdrawal is $4,000 per week, however, which may put off some high-rollers. The average withdrawal time surprised me somewhat, though, as it averages over 72 hours. This is much longer than most of this casino’s competitors.
Games
Yukon Gold has around 1,000 games. If you’re a slots fan, there are plenty of firm favourites here, including Sweet Bonanza, Gonzo’s Quest, Immortal Romance, Book of Dead, and Aztec Gold.
Though some notable providers are missing, the range here is generally good. You’ll find less well-known or popular games like Raging Storm by Ainsworth here too. Despite the lower-than-average overall RTP, there are some high RTP games to be found, so you can avoid that higher house edge.
All of the games are available to play in demo mode once you’re registered and logged in.

Games rating
- Over 1,000 different games
- 150 chances to win on Mega Vault Millionaire
- Plenty of high RTP games
- No bingo, keno, or lotto games
- Only registered players can play demos
- Below average RTP of 93%
Although the site’s look and below-average RTP made me a little uneasy starting out my gaming here, I was pleasantly surprised by the range and quality of the games. There are plenty to try, they vary in type and come from a range of providers.
I did like that you can play slots in demo mode. Especially since there are several I’d never played before. I would have liked the home page to have more information about the games before signup though. Until you’re registered, the information is not very detailed, which is disappointing.
Software providers
Though there are several great software developers here, there are some notable exceptions. That includes live dealer providers, so no Evolution. You will see the likes of Betsoft, Thunderkick, ELK Studios, Quickspin, Habanero, and more, but it would be great to have a wider variety and a higher average RTP too.
It’s nice to see some less well-known developers here like Pariplay and Ainsworth but these are drowned out a little by the more popular ones.
With a live dealer section, Yukon Gold would certainly appeal to more players but it’s unlikely that this online casino will choose to add this element since it’s already two decades old and hasn’t gone down that route yet.

- Good x-section of slot providers
- No live dealer section
- Some top-name developers are absent
Although the number and type of games available at Yukon Gold casino is good, the number of software providers is lacking here. It would be great to see a live dealer section added, for example, but as this casino is already 20 years old, I doubt that this will come about any time soon. I did enjoy playing games here but was wary of the below-average RTP.
Compared to competitors, the software is disappointing but you’ve got to balance that with how well-established this online casino is and how it’s clearly catered towards Canadians rather than a global audience.
Payment methods
Yukon Gold accepts a wide range of payment types though not all methods are available here. Players can choose to deposit by all major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, prepaid vouchers, and e-wallet. However, it would be great to see mobile wallets listed and cryptocurrency options too. The banking method range is alluded to in the FAQs but it’s not until you register and click ‘deposit’ that you know which e-wallets are available, for example.
With the minimum deposit amount being $10, this is a great site for casual players and low-stakes users. There are no fees for most methods, which is excellent but if you choose DBT, you’ll pay $50 for a withdrawal (and $100 if your amount is above $3,000). The website also states that the minimum withdrawal amount for most payment methods is $50–and for DBT or Wire transfers, it’s $300, which is huge.

Payments rating
- Decent amount of payment methods
- You can deposit from $10
- All deposits are instant and processed securely
- No crypto
- No mobile wallet payments
- The minimum withdrawal amount is $50
Although it’s great to see the payment information being transparent in the FAQs, I wasn’t impressed with some of the information. Despite the minimum deposit being a pleasing $10, players must have at least $50 if they want to withdraw. There are also fees for some methods. I also would prefer the site to list which payment methods are available before you sign up as it’s impossible to know until you’ve registered and gone to make your deposit.
I would like to see Yukon Gold add mobile wallets to its list as well as the option of depositing and playing in cryptocurrencies.
Safety features
Some areas of the Yukon Gold site are disappointing as we’ve seen, but safety isn’t one of them, thankfully. Most terms and conditions here are transparent and visible on the site. The games here are provably fair and the licensing is strong, with a certification from eCOGRA.
Yukon Gold hasn’t won any awards but it does have some positive reviews on gambling forums. Although the website design does feel a little dated, users are protected by modern security, including 128-bit SSL encryption and two-factor authentication (2FA). What’s more, the privacy policy is robust and comprehensive with clear FAQs too.
In terms of responsible gaming, Yukon Gold has some great features and information. Players can add daily, weekly, or monthly limits to their accounts and can choose to self-exclude too. There is a good policy with a quick self-assessment tool and supporting links to problem gambling associations.

Safety rating
- Licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission
- Trust seals by eCOGRA
- SSL encryption and 2FA
- The responsible gambling section could have more features
The security of Yukon Gold is one of the things it does really well. There are great accreditations and protections for customers like certification from eCOGRA, robust licensing and regulation, and website protections like encryption and 2FA. However, I did think that responsible gaming efforts could be improved. There are limits and self-exclusion but it would be better to have other features like loss limits, time reminders, or time limits too.
Customer support
The support at Yukon Gold is excellent and one of the best features of the site. The support team is available 24/7 via live chat and email. Because the support is for the whole of the Casino Rewards group, it isn’t always specific to Yukon Gold but this wider availability means your queries are answered very quickly, especially via live chat. Yukon Gold aims to answer emails within 48 but it’s often sooner.
Sometimes, online casinos restrict their live chat availability to registered customers only but Yukon Gold makes this available to all, which is pleasing.
The help center and FAQs are also very detailed, which makes it less likely that you’ll need to contact the customer service team.

Support rating
- Live chat is available 24/7, even for unregistered players
- Quick email response
- Detailed FAQ section
- No social media support available
When reviewing this site, I found the support team to be one of its most redeeming features. A site can have 3,000+ games and all the developers possible but if its customer service team isn’t very good, there’s little point in signing up.
When I contacted the support team via live chat to write this review, I was met with helpful and friendly agents who were keen to resolve my inquiry quickly, no matter the time of day. Equally, I emailed a less urgent inquiry to the email support address and received a comprehensive reply in a matter of hours. The site does say they aim to respond within 48 hours so I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response so quickly.
I would like to see Yukon Gold Casino have an active presence on social media but this is a minor element and doesn’t bring down how I rated the casino in any way.
Usability
I’ve said it already–Yukon Gold Casino looks a little outdated and old-fashioned. However, don’t let this put you off. Registration is fairly straightforward and takes just a few minutes to complete. Once signed up, you’ll have full access to the website–this does look a little different when you’re logged in because Yukon Gold ‘gatekeeps’ its layout a little from unregistered customers.
The navigation is good and the live chat sticky is clearly visible on every page. The search function here is good but could be improved, although it doesn’t impede gameplay or finding games in any way.

Although there is no mobile app, the mobile website is well-designed and functions well. All games are available on every device and the platform adapts nicely to a smaller size screen. For those using a desktop, there is a web app and this works well too.

Usability rating
- Registration is fairly quick
- The mobile site works well and doesn’t lag
- All games and features available on mobile
- No mobile app
- Search function could be better
Despite its old-fashioned design, the usability of the Yukon Gold casino website is relatively sound. Navigation and registration are straightforward and the live chat sticky is clearly visible, which I appreciated.
I prefer sites to look the same before and after registration because this gives you a real feel of what the casino will look like before you sign up so Yukon Gold was a little disappointing in this respect. That said, I had no problems at all using the site on desktop, web app, or the mobile site: it loads fast and all games are available no matter how you play.
