Wolf Gold Power Jackpot comprehensive review

In this Wolf Gold Power Jackpot review, I’ll be going through the slot’s RTP and volatility, its bonus features, and the different symbols and payouts. I’ll also break down how the slot works.

RTP and volatility

Wolf Gold Power Jackpot is a medium volatility jackpot slot with an RTP of 83.83%, excluding the jackpots. The slot is played on a 5×3 grid, with 25 paylines.

Wolf Gold Power Jackpot having an RTP of 83.83% doesn’t sit right with me. That’s way below the industry average of 96%, and means that unless you or another player trigger one of the jackpots, you’re not likely to see much return. The Divine Fortune Megaways slot, for example, has a 96.09% RTP and medium-high volatility. Even Mega Jackpots Cleopatra has an RTP of around 92.48%.

Bonus features

The Wolf Gold Power Jackpot has four bonus features: Wilds, free spins, money respins, and the four jackpots.

Wilds are represented by the Wolf symbol. It substitutes for all paying symbols to create a win, and can create wins of its own.

Free spins are triggered when a scatter symbol lands on reels 1, 3, and 5. This triggers five free spins. During free spins, mystery symbols land on all the reels. This will transform into the same symbol, which could be anything except the scatter symbol. Free spins can also be retriggered if three scatter symbols land on the reels again.

The third bonus feature that’s available is money respins. When the moon symbol lands on the reels, it will display a cash value. It can land on any of the five reels and when there are a minimum of six symbols, the money respins feature is triggered.

During the respins, all the other symbols fade away, while the symbols that triggered the symbol become stuck on the reels. Three respins are awarded, and the tally will reset to three respins with every new sticky money symbol that lands on the reels. If all fifteen of the symbol positions are filled, players will win the fullscreen bonus which is 1,000x your bet.

The final bonus feature is the jackpot feature. There are four jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major, and Power. When the five golden reels land on the grid in the base game, the jackpot feature will be activated.

A wheel of fortune comes onto the screen. The wheel is split into two parts: the inner shows jackpot wins and empty spaces, the outer shows multipliers. The wheel spins and if it lands on a jackpot on the inner wheel, that value is awarded. If it lands on a multiplier on the outer wheel, that will be awarded instead. When the jackpot is awarded, 50% of the value is shared with the contributing player community.

Bonus features are the winning component of this game. There’s a good selection of bonus features, and I love that two of those are free spins and respins; both of which can be retriggered.

This just gives you more opportunities for wins, and can be much more lucrative than the regular base game. These features also make the game much more engaging, since you’re not only waiting to potentially trigger a jackpot, but hopefully a bonus feature.

The jackpot trigger is a mixed bag for me. Yes, there are four potential jackpots to trigger, and yeah, if you don’t trigger a jackpot, you’ll land a multiplier win instead of nothing at all. But if that multiplier win amounts to less than the smallest jackpot, then that’s not an even exchange. It sets your hopes up for a jackpot, and instead it’s an average-sized win.

Symbols and paytable

Wolf Gold Power Jackpot has eight paying symbols. The low-paying symbols are traditional card symbols, J, Q, K, and A. The other four symbols are horses, cougars, eagles, and bison.

The J, Q, K, and A pay out the same values. When landing five of a kind, these symbols will award a payout of 2x your bet.

From the higher paying symbols, the payouts range from 8 to 20x for five of a kind. The bison is the highest paying symbol in the game, awarding a payout of 20x your bet for five symbols.

If you land five Wilds, these will award the same payout of 20x your bet.

There’s a good increase in the size of the payouts from the lowest symbols to the highest. Going from 2x to 20x is a 10x increase in your win potential. Plus, five Wilds also accounts for a big win of 20x your bet, which is a great addition. On the highest bet of $125, that’s a win of $2,500.

How to play the Wolf Gold Power Jackpot slot

Wolf Gold Power Jackpot is a 5×3 slot with 15 symbol positions. To start playing, you need to press the spin button. Wins must land starting from the left-hand side of the grid, and the symbols must fall onto at least one of the 25 paylines.

The bet range is $0.25-$125. Your bet is adjusted by pressing the plus and minus symbols on either side of the spin button. Other buttons include the information button, which includes the paytable and gameplay information, the mute button, and the settings button.

Expert verdict

I’ll start off by saying this is not a jackpot slot for inexperienced players. While it’s simple to play, and even the bonus features are easy to follow, that RTP of 83.83% is not friendly to greener players, especially when the minimum bet is a little higher than average. Most games start with a minimum bet of $0.10, but this is $0.25.

Other than that, Wolf Gold Power Jackpot’s strongest aspect is its bonus features. The free spins are always good to have, and even though you only get five to start with, you can retrigger them during the free spins mode. Plus, the respins and the 1,000x win potential is a pretty attractive and potentially lucrative feature.

The four jackpots are the point of the game, but triggering them isn’t going to be a walk in the park since it all depends on what you get when you spin the wheel of fortune.

All things considered, this is an engaging slot, but I’d advise even experienced players to proceed with caution and plan their bets carefully.
