However, that’s the trade off. You’re paying more per spin in exchange for extra rows, more paylines, and, in theory, more chances to land winning combinations which increase payout potential.

For starters, all four low-paying symbols are identical, while three high-paying symbols are also the same. Even Santa, the slot’s highest-paying symbol, feels a bit tight. The top symbol in Razor Shark by Push Gaming, for instance, trumps Santa across three, four, and five-of-a-kind wins.
Don’t get me wrong, the payouts aren’t terrible and the jackpot and other bonus mechanics do help balance things out. But still, at times it feels like you’re playing with four meaningful symbols instead of eleven. I guess I thought a Christmas-themed slot would be a bit more generous. If not done right, Christmas-themed slots can feel like nothing more than a quick cash grab. However, while 10 Santa’s Reindeers is not without its issues, it’s clear that Push Gaming put some real thought and effort into creating this game.
The way the Reindeer mechanics were handled was very clever in my opinion. The fact that both types of Reindeer symbols can interact with each other for bigger prizes adds a layer of excitement to the base game.
The Push-Up mechanic is one of those features that you either love or hate. The nice part is that you can simply choose to ignore it. However, having the option to expand my grid at any moment and potentially increase my chances was a nice feeling to have.
Truth be told though, my biggest pain point has to do with the payout symbols.
The fact that 11 paying symbols can essentially be grouped into four batches with identical payouts made me feel a little cheated. Sure, the fixed jackpots and Free Spins feature help to mitigate this, but overall, the symbols lack depth and range.
At the end of the day though, if you enjoy Christmas-themed slots, this game comes with strong features, favorable RTP rates, and a decent maximum payout. However, if you prefer something with a little more kick, Santa’s Hoppers by Push Gaming is a cluster-based slot with medium-to-high volatility, and a maximum win potential of 10,000x.
